This could be an embarrassing hostage to fortune post, but just had a call from an old Fleet Street friend stating that Dave King has this morning been passed "fit and proper" and that an announcement is imminent. Still deeply sceptical that the SFA can be trusted to get anything right without imposing further bizarre conditions, but it's a critical quantum leap for the club IF it's true. Finger and everything crossed!

SLB) I sincerely hope your friend is right mate it certainly would be a huge step in the right direction. Your scepticism is placed wouldn't trust the powers that be any further than I could throw Mike Ashley.

Have made a couple of calls but cannot so far find a corroborative source. However, my journalist friend insists it will be in the public domain by the morning, so fervently hoping he is well informed!
