I believe the interviews for our scottish / local no. 3 position, to work under pedro caixinha starts today! I'm also led to believe, that barry ferguson has his interview, for the position, today!

The other 2 candidates that are shortlisted to be interviewed, this week are seemingly, neil mccann and alex rae! We should find out who's the chosen candidate, by the end of this week!

I truly think barry ferguson will get the job! What do other bears out there think? what have you heard regarding this? Should be interesting!

@SC11 - I would have preferred Murty to have been given it. I honestly don't see what the rest bring to the club in a coaching capacity - one of the criteria that Pedro is looking for.

UJ a would love to see murty involved in some way as a do believe he does deserve to be in the first team set up and would be happy to see any of the of the 3 candidates at ibrox but time will tell but things are looking good onwards and upwards

Could it be that Murty will be with the first team squad and the guys being interviewed takeover Murty's old position?

Murty deserves to be included in the first team coaching set up.

I don't think Murty wants to be involved with the first team as i think he sees himself a nurturer of young talent and mabey with his increased rep at the club now he can push the issue to get any young guys that look like they have what it takes to be included in the 1st yeam squad.

Imo Neil McCann would be an excellent choice, the guy know what he's on about had a similar job at dunfermline and only left due to bigger money deal on skysports, I do think if rangers came calling it would turn his head, just my opinion tho

Tommyj79 a agree with u a think murty has been offered to stay and work with first team but has decided he's happy to continue his work with youth squad and that's prob why we are looking at other options was good to see murty out with the squad on saturday aswel and the fans reception for him was first class

Graeme murty would have been a very good shout for the position UnionJack, but he wants to continue his great work coaching the under 20's! The rangers directors also want him to continue in this very important role, in what will hopefully feed our first team with very good, well coached and developed, young players! Much the same situation with kenny miller who's already doing a bit of coaching at MP, but he wants to continue playing with doing his wee bit of coaching which he's currently doing and enjoying! Kenny also would have been a good choice IMHO!

I'd be happy with any one of the 3 of them, although I like Murty I want him to work with the youth it's an important job and one which I'm confident now Murty is right guy for .

I'd be amazed if neil mccann got job considering he said live on sky sports that in his opinion it was a mistake giving caixinha the job.

Neil McCann has been scathing in his criticism of rangers during the past 5 years. Albeit his job means he should be impartial he has taken it to new levels. I would gladly take Barry or Alec Rae. Both have the desire and dig to support Pedro. I know its not just about being Rangers men but if that's the case why is Pedro so set in getting someone like this onboard? Answer because it's necessary. O will support 100% the decision

Whilst I agree Murty did a great job in the interim role, Pedro is the manager now and specifically stated he wants an experienced coach with extensive local knowledge.

Murtys never been a coach before aside from
U20s so he wouldn't fit the role. If supercoop's shortlist is right I think Alex Rae should get it; he has good playing experience both sides of the border, has good coaching experience from his time at St Mirren and as a bonus is a dyed in the wool bluenose.

The blend of passion and experience from Pedro and Rae at murray park would be just what we need!

Union Jack, the man has already said this appointment doesn't necessarily have to be involved in the coaching.

What about John (bomber) brown anyone? He's a proper diehard rangers fan with coaching experience! This rangers legend has red, white and blue, running through his veins! He absolutely adores glasgow rangers!
