My next door neighbour works at Auchenhowie and has been very reliable with passing information to me over the years - for the record, he made me aware of the Barton interest last year after faxing information to/ from Burnley and Auchenhowie and also setting up the logistical side for Pedro's interviews.

He tells me Pedro has regularly met his backroom staff and JJ (JJ recently claimed expenses for travel to Preston and a match ticket v Norwich - presumed to watch Dorrans) over the past week to talk over certain players' futures, with meetings commenced just prior to the semi final.

Senderos/ Kiernan/ Forrester/ MOH have all been told they are free to leave or being released. Granted some have been injured or gone AWOL, Pedro has made his mind up. They have all been seen going into his office privately in the past week. Given their lack of playing time under Pedro and MW, and Senderos's wage, they will leave. Toral and Hyndman will return to their parent clubs.

Tav/ Hill/ Garner/ Halliday/ Windass/ Hodson and Waghorn are playing for their futures and have been told this apparently, all being seen arriving for training earlier today than the rest of the players and heading straight for Pedro's office (this may also have been to either look back at Sunday or preview tactics, my friend is unsure over this, but given they have regularly featured under Pedro - minus Hill and Hodson due to injury - Pedro is waiting to see what they can offer) .

Wes/ Holt/ Wilson/ Wallace/ Dodoo/ Alnwick to be kept. Miller will be offered a new deal, with coaching the 20s with Murty available if he desires. Pedro has been impressed with him despite initially wanting to move him on due to age at the beginning of his tenure. McKay's future is subject to the contract situation.

Beerman and Bates to remain, and more youngsters are soon to be integrated, notably Aidan Wilson, Serge Atakayi and Ross Lyon impressing over recent weeks in training and with the 20s. It is believed JJ and Atakayi's Finnish connection will aid the transition. I stress here with the youngsters, Faxes have been going back/ forth with Chelsea (Gilmour? ) akin to the Barton point I highlighted at the start.

Lastly, Pedro will allow preseason to rule over the likes of Niko and Rossiter, as well as looking at the other players out on loan at the moment: Liam Kelly, Matt Crooks, Jordan Thomson and Ryan Hardie.

All sounds good until you suggest JJ had to buy a ticket to the Norwich game then claim it on expenses!

He didn't say jj bought a ticket he said he claimed expenses. So could be dinner etc to talk to player/ agent/ scout.

Whether its true or not i hope your right. This is exactly how i would do it if i was manager. 9 or 10 out but 5 or 6 quality starters brought in with youth and loanees back. I think this is doable with a small budget. Need to get away from quantity not quality

With all the wild arsed rubbish on here that sounds very reasonable and believable.

Having seen Waghorn and Garner play under both Warburton and now Pedro surely these 2 clowns don't have a future at the club. Waghorn has got to be one of the poorest strikers at the club and I can't recall another striker who regularly balloons the ball over the bar. Truly awful player

This all sounds perfectly logical and believable. I only have one issue.

Do they seriously still send faxes? The last time I saw a fax machine Scotland had just qualified for a World Cup!

Clydebank blue, your appraisal of players is spot on, if that's where his heads at we're flying, all part of our recovery, can't wait for next season, plus a crack at European football .

Claimed expenses for travel and a match ticket.

There is nothing odd about JJ buying a ticket and then claiming for expenses on it.

Haha JFC, but yes football clubs are still using fax machines.

JFC, I believe the fax machines are used as it allows for signatures on documents etc to be done which I think is not possible via email? I remember a few transfer windows ago that David de Gea's move to Real Madrid was scuppered as it wasn't registered in time due to a faulty fax machine?

Also with the expenses, I was just told by my neighbour JJ claimed them for his Preston trip, which I presumed to be the staple items of travel and a ticket. Parky's point makes a logical conclusion too.

Hope your right clydebank blue. we need a clear out and given how well bates and beerman r doing. we should not b afraid to use more hungry younger players. senderos has been an unmitigated disaster not to mention horrendous waste of wages.
For starters we need a dam sight more fight come saturday than last weekend. Nae use starting to play at 2 nil doon. Never will any of us accept that!

Yea believe it or not we still use fax machines, I work in a bank and we use fax machines daily. a lot of documents can be sent over and if they're certified signatory wise it makes it easier to deal with. unfortunately we can't trust emails it could be from anyone and they're too easy to intercept

We got rid of our fax machine over 10 years ago and work with PDFs now - i am sure Rangers are no different.

You would think a professional club would take care of everything before sending scouts out, unless there was no preparation and it was a last minute decision.

wee ecky why is it hard to believe he is claiming expenses as most do when they travel for work purposes.

i can believe as pedro did state he will speak to players face to face who stays who goes . if it all true am just happy to see wallace get a new contract . wallace will be our joint captain leader legend hopefully at the gers for many years to come. the part that does confuse me is why claim expenses to a match and ticket, surely the club pays all that?
