I’m fine with it I want a good manager not an average manager and to be honest I don’t think he could do any better than what murtys doing just now

Who knows, getting money together for compensation?

Do you think that's the end of it or will Derek force the move?

Why would he even want the job now? they've clearly known all this time its who they wanted and their only now making an approach? Ridiculous. he's not my first choice but i think its embarrassing they've fecked about all this time. If they wanted him they should have made the move sooner, he himself must be thinking its a carry on. Not exactly appealing to someone is it all this mucking about. If he has a release clause can they even refuse permission if it the compensations met? I don't think he will take the job now any way. I hope they had a back up plan and move on it a bit sooner.

If he wants it that bad he will walk and sign for us. That easy. Aberdeen, who the fk are aberdeen. We are rangers super rangers. We can still win the league this year its not too far away yet.

Is it maybe a PR stunt that Aberdeen are making out that they’re refusing us contact and doing all they can to keep McInnes to save some face with their fans when he inevitably leaves? Soon find out I suppose.

Maybe it took 6 weeks because they wanted the agm out the way first.

Kinda makes sense waiting till after agm, now know that fresh investment can be made from shares so they will have a better idea of what they can offer as a transfer budget.

Waiting till after AGM made sense. Also can't remember Rangers or anybody associated with, releasing any statement about who we would 'like'. So who was doing the 'mucking about'?
Also with a double header lined up we were on a no win situation.

Excactly why has it taken so long Rangers took it for granted that when there 1st choice 2nd choice and god knows how many they have approached for the job? They thought well if all else fails we’ll have DM.

Mark Allen has been been a bad idea, a manger wants to run the team the way they want not to be told who to sign and play from a director of football doesn’t work in Scotland.

On the other hand I’m glad DM is not coming he was not for me I don’t believe we would have improved much at al and Europe would have been a failure just my thoughts.

for just now murty to be left in place Barry Ferguson in for his no. 2 to end of season re-asses and take it from there. Either that or Neil McCann comes in with murty again end of season re-asses?

How does it work then? I thought he had a clause that allowed him to speak to anyone who met it? I take it we are trying to sound out if he would accept the job before making a bid?

I disagree Dutch, our bunch of players have shown how good they can actually play, if we keep getting results ten points is not an unassailable lead in December
