Hearing Morelos not travelled for PSV. Don't know if injured or something happened so Just my opinion but reckon he's working for a move. Not signing contract but rangers still wanted good fee and it's priced him out so now his actions or attitude are making Gio want to cut loses.

This is a bit of a circus from Rangers ahead of a massive and difficult game. Could they no have been a bit smarter and just said due to lack of fitness or he's carrying a knock. Giving it to the media that its due to poor attitude and all the seniors players have supported this decision makes it sound like a bit of a witch hunt against Alfredo.

I'm no saying all of that stuff in untrue and he's not deserving of being omitted, but keep that stuff in house. Doing it this way there's no way back for me now, Alfredo will want to go and probably feel from the way its being reported that his team mates don't want him. there's also very little chance of anyone paying a fee for guy your stating yourself is unfit and has a bad attitude. Not best for the club if he goes for nothing is it.

I know some people laugh at the weight thing - but I think his body type NEEDS him to be playing every week - 2 games a week to keep him at match fitness. This will have been noticed by other teams when they do their due diligence, together with what appears to be an attitude issue - I would be surprised if anyone offered decent money for him.
Be prepared for some silly/ cheeky offers just to take him.

This was never going to stay in house he's our star man. He doesn't play tomorrow questions get asked, also making it public may actually help him.

Every time he's been subbed on we've gave him support and cheered his name and constantly praise him. It's time he gets brought back down a level or two and realises he's just like the other 10 starting on the day.

To can’t be serious to suggest it would be okay to lose Morelos for free. Even if we sold him for £5m now, we would free up those £33k/ week wages on top. So we can go back into the market and bring a £5m striker here, on big wages, and a 5 year deal.

The time has clearly come for Morelos and Rangers to part ways. It’s important the club do what is best from a financial perspective. Plus, any new striker coming in would be ready to hit the ground running and would be fully committed.

Getting rid of Morelos within the next 8 days and replacing him makes a lot more sense than keeping him. Just my opinion.

The guy is a passenger at best, he has got away with it because he bangs in goals.
But loads of strikers bang in goals and don't have this crap attitude.
He is playing you like he has played us all along.

I hope GVB doesn't turn out to be another Paul Le Guen. A lot of players that have proved themselves being moved on or in the last year of their contract, early days for the new guys to make comment. The next few weeks will be pivotal as to whether we are going to make progress in Europe and be serious challengers for the League.
I don't have a problem with Morelos being moved on so long as he is replaced by a better player, same with any others but so far we haven't improved the quality of the team with players brought in to replace McGregor, Balogun, Bassey and Aribo.
It is easy to say that the new players will take time to settle or get used to the style of play. Unfortunately we have a Champions League tie to win and we can't afford to drop any more points in the league. Tilman looks like a good acquisition when he is played, Matondo just looks like another Sakala, Colak is definitely an improvement on Itten and Lawrence is a decent acquisition as a free. No idea about the others since they haven't played. I'm looking forward to us bringing in three quality players to seriously improve the first eleven!

Lets give this some context, Morelos has 24 goals since August 2020 in the league. That is very replaceable. Been excellent in Europe and gave us some great memories but not been our top scorer in the league for more than a few seasons. I am pretty sure i heard Gio say in his interview he did not consult the senior players before making the decision. Said will have to see what happens over next number of weeks. Alf came on to get more match sharpness as he is not fit enough and let the full club down by the sending off. It wasn't a ref blunder, it wasnt incited by the Hibs player, it was plain stupidity. Let the team down, fans, management and also himself as he also misses out on match fitness and a chance to be a sub tomorrow night. And by the way Gio answered the question on how long it has been going on, it wasn't just saturday.

GVB, no, but as we keep hearing when we failed to win the league, last season, that team was the one that GVB inherited from Gerrard. I am a fan of GVB, (the player), but now he has brought in his own players although he still hasn't brought in the quality of the players that he needs to replace; McGregor, Bassey, Aribo, Davis, Arfield, even Jack and presumably now, Morelos. We haven't really seen much of any of the players signed, Colak looks a good replacement for Itten, Tillman looks quality, Matondo has not impressed so far and Lawrence looks like a good quality squad player. I hope I am wrong but I fear we will lose tomorrow and we will struggle to win the league. We have a week to bring in some top quality players, as things stand a Goalkeeper, a top quality midfield player and a striker.

Berkshire I don't know where your getting league comparison gio has brought in club identified players anyone who thinks otherwise is daft Lawrence Davies souttar are guys the club were previously linked with well before gio arrived. League. Was rank rotten the only good thing he did was give McGregor a shot at the No1. Guys like Karl svensaon playing as a CB and banning snack machines was first time he had left his own country in management and took over an already successful team from houllier. gio built his own team at feyenord and has much better experience of British players and Thier mentality. I fully believe of we hadn't went on European run last year we would have won the league no problem also try remember only reason they won was a huge helping hand from rest of spl in moving the break. He's also had some rotten luck in hagi and Morelos getting serious injury yet he still led us to uefa final. think you need to have some respect for what the guy has done already most of games we dropped points were down to individual errors we were not tactically undone by many teams only the one game against them.

Goforbig, let's wait and see. I had the greatest of respect for Gio as a player and as a coach but so far I am concerned at the way we are playing and I am not overly enamoured with a number of his signings or in some cases the lack of signings. Of course only time will tell but I am surprised that he didn't recruit a top quality keeper, a quality player to replace Davis, (who is still our best midfield player), and while I like Tillman and Lawrence I am curious why we signed Yilmaz given the cost, Davies who is not match fit and Matondo who doesn't look any better than Sakala. Perhaps I was just expecting him to sign three or four top quality players from Holland or Spain where he knew the leagues and the players or unearth a gem from his time in China. The fact that Souttar, Davies and Lawrence were all players that we were looking at before GVB arrived is not an argument for why he should sign them. Yes we had rotten luck last season with Hagi and Morelos being injured but we also failed to strengthen when we won the league and that certainly didn't help either GVB or to be fair Gerrard before him. Unfortunately if we fail to win the league this Season and struggle in Europe it will be seen as GVB's team and GVB's fault. I agree that we could have won the league last year and the European Trophy if our manager, (either Gerrard or later GVB), had been allowed to bring in quality acquisitions. This was a big part of the problem. I believe that we both want the same thing and that is success for GVB and for Rangers. I just have this concern that currently we are weaker than we were 12 months ago and that despite the acquisitions we haven't improved the quality of the Team.
