Rangers apparently offered Rory Willson a good deal but where left stunned with what villa was offering il thinking it must of been 20k a week plus anyone actually know the amount or heard any rumours ?.

Don't think you can sign pro contract until 18 so doubt he'll be on anything like 20k though I'm sure there will be plenty of incentives and things added on.

You then guessed at a figure (which was never going to be anything like the amount being paid to a 16 year old) . Then you state that the club are talking sh*te?!? Maybe just don’t believe every bit of nonsense you read online. It’s likely that what ever we did offer him, Aston Villa were able to offer much more, or at least the promise of much much more once he can sign a professional contract. It’s not exactly surprising that a premier league club can blow us out the water in terms of wages and wage structure.

Gers the rumours where going about before he moved that rangers offers him the best deal possible if it blew rangers out the water them in thinking it was more than gilmour that was getting 5k through his dad so I was thinking as he was rated the best striker at his age he would of been getting more any way no need to get ? From what I understand young Wilson wanted to move on and I really don't blame him. He looked like a special talent especially in games that he played with Scotland so why, when he had the opportunity to go to an EPL side would he want to stay in a footballing backwater.

yes, it would have been nice if he had stayed with us and possibly progressed to the first team but I really don't blame anyone for furthering their career by moving South!
