If Dykes comes in, because the ed says we are in for him and maybe get him this month, what is everyone's option on Colak being sold? I believe Dykes is a lot more suited to the style that Beale wants.

Colak won’t finish the season on much more than he has the now. He was well outperforming XG start of the season. He started similar at Malmo then fizzled out. He’s scored 20 goals in one season throughout his career. Offers us nothing else as a striker, like previous poster said he’s the worst player on the pitch when he doesn’t score, least touches. No I don’t hate him but some believe he is way better than he is. Doesn’t mean I want dykes to replace him mind you….

Note -A wee Japanese guy does very little else than score goals for his team and he is lauded for doing just that!
Colak has 11 goals in 15 Prem league games and is our top scorer - followed by Tav 7 and Tillman 5 - and we care whether his hair got messed up.

I don’t think Colak has a future at the club. GVB said he wanted a striker who stands between the sticks and scores goals, but Beale doesn’t use those type of strikers. If you remember back to the season we won 55 Morelos was told to drop very deep and it allowed the wide attackers to exploit the space time and again. Colak had the least amount of touches against Dundee United and that’s been the case with him several times this season. He is an absolute passenger and everything must be done for him. He isn’t the type of striker this Rangers team will need agianst Celtic or in Europe.

Another plus for signing Dykes is he would be an asset helping out our defence at set pieces. The big man’s not a Messi or Ronaldo but he’s a grafter and big physical presence, something we don’t have at the moment. Add Jake Cooper to that and imo we would look very solid. Anybody know how we stand on Cooper?

I’ve only seen highlights of recent games, but aren’t we now playing a 4-2-3-1, with the full backs providing the width? I don’t see the problem with Colak in that formation provided there is good movement among the 3 behind him.

On sunday beale56? No, he wasn't involved in any of the goals. He gave the ball away that led to them having a shot at goal. He had two ridiculous shots at goal because he neither had the pace or fitness to carry the ball.

Colak is the best natural finisher at our club. Anyone doubting his quality in front of goal needs to go learn about the game. He fits our way of playing perfectly ad Beale wants to team him up with Morelos. When he plays and we are making good quality deliveries into the box then this guy is perfect. Do many times Morelos will go out to a wing and we rely on midfield and full backs.
