i still have believe we will unveil at least 2 more signings before deadline day just my gut feeling and i'm excited about it lol.

Nesbit will never go to us .

He’s on his way mate ?? mark my words.

I would rather we paid 2mil for nisbett who is proven goal scorer in scotland than take a punt on paying 2mil for whittaker.

Am I the only one that thinks he's just not good enough for the level we want to be at. He will be a good striker in domestic games and knows where the goal is but for me I'd be hoping for better.

bells hill. I think we want to win the league to begin with and i think he’d score more than anyone else we’ve got.

6.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:06:41
Domestic games are our bread and butter bells, so if he’s good enough for that, that’ll do me! Anything else we get in Europe is a bonus.

7.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:07:13
we need fit striker options. proven goalscorer like when we bought billy Dodds I would be happy if we got him in.

8.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:10:17
I'm not convinced myself but if he joins he will get my full support. It is much tougher at Rangers as he will be expected to score in every game and 99% of the time he will be part of a team playing against 10 men behind the ball.

9.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:11:48
Thestigno - I hope your hunch comes true, as think Nisbet would be a great signing.

10.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:19:33
Nope Bellshill I've said a good few times very good in Scotland against average defences he'd be poor in Europe against very good defences, him up front in Europe we will do nothing if he starts not good enough for our main man.

11.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:20:37
Thaught he was going to Milwal.

12.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:29:24
If we sign nisbett and its a big if at the moment its not set in stone he will be our no1 striker and if he can't cut the mustard in europe then that's a shame but i do remember it not doing kris boyd any harm he only scored 1 old firm goal and the league was already over by that point there is nothing wrong with having a player who only scores for fun domestically maybe if we had someone like that already there wouldn't be such a huge gap in the goal difference.

13.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:52:43
He changed his mind when he got down to millwall. can't see us going for him unless morelos leaves, which i think is unlikely. We still have colak and roofe “when” fit. He won't go somewhere he's not going to be starting all the time.

14.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:53:10
Remember last striker we signed from Hibs couple of hat tricks in first games, Nisbet would be good for us, how do we know how he will play in Europe, can't be any worse that this season.

15.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 10:55:49
I don’t think Nisbet knocking back Millwall had anything to do with Rangers. Some seem to think it’s an indicator that he’s coming to Ibrox, but it seems like he wants to focus on Hibs. I also believe Beale said in yesterdays presser that no striker outside the Old Firm was worth pursuing (or words to that effect) .

28 Jan 2023 11:05:29
Gers58. Very true. Nobody knows how any signing will work out. Every signing is a gamble. ???????????.

17.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 11:16:48
Maybe he going to the tims if he's pulled outy milwal move.

18.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 11:18:45
Theres been no interest from us for him, not saying there won't be. he's in the hibs squad today.
He rejected millwall because he never fancied it when he got down there. And for the people thinking he would never join rangers, he was coming when gerrard was the boss but the board pulled the plug on the deal last minute.

19.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 11:26:19
Something gave Nisbet cold feet. More cash a better team and staying at home. But what.

20.) 28 Jan 2023

Gers58,

The last striker we signed from Hibs was Cummings. Prolific in Scotland when we signed him, but didn’t suit the system we were trying to play at all. I think Nisbet would be exactly the same because the link up and overall play just isn’t there.

Rangers need a striker who can drop deep into midfielder, go wide in to the channels, drag defenders around, link play, hold the ball up - There’s more to it than just scoring goals in the modern game. The season in which Rangers won 55 Morelos was our main striker and wasn’t prolific at all (12 league goals) . Morelos had been instructed to drop much deeper during open play so the runners from midfield can get in behind and it worked brilliantly.

There’s no doubt in my mind Beale wants a very complete centre forward. When Morelos goes we need to find another striker like him who can help us perform in Europe and against Celtic when we’re up against it. I don’t think Nisbet is the guy to do that.

21.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 11:43:51
I’d rather Nisbet over Wright.

22.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 12:05:28
That is the only reason for me to sign him gdog.

23.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 12:14:13
Did none of you listen to Beale yesterday? He basically said there was nobody in Scotland better than Morelos, Colak or roofe outside Celtic so would be a bit of a comedown to then go and spend 2 million on nisbett…. add to the fact he’s a Tim and hubs won’t want to sell to us just can’t see any way this happens.

24.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 12:37:47
Nesbit over wright? Completely different players and positions. May as well say you would prefer David de gea over morelos.

25.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 12:40:33
Player returning from big injury goes down to Millwall after agreeing to sign for them then last minute heads back up? If anything it sounds like something showed up in his medical.

I don't really see us or them going in for him unless it's for the summer.

26.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 12:58:02
Orangetinted he is clearly meaning instead of Wright for Europe.

27.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 13:07:28
I've been to Millwall and I ain't going back, went with my cousins to see Argyle lost 4-0 and they still wanted to kill us . Nisbet is right to blank it, maybe he spoke to Stevie Crawford, Paul Hartley or Jimmy Nic and got the message, they all only lasted less than a year. it's hell.

28.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 13:23:22
Bel blue that’s nonsense that he won’t come why in this day age do some fans still think this way.

Beale we don’t know what he will be like in Europe until he plays for us in it if we do get him.

I for one would take him in a heartbeat if he has to come still unsure it will happen. But not because he grew up supporting another team.

29.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 13:28:26
Nothing to do with medical he pulled out not millwall how hard is that to understand.

Beale that isn’t obvious it sounded like he would take him over wright nothing to do with Europe.

30.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 13:44:31
Stormtrooper I disagree here, many goals has Nisbet scored against Rangers and celtic? he would do nothing in Europe against very good defences, and also I thought he was taking about our European squad just the way I took it, asked you in an earlier post about what you replied to paul were you taking about what the keeper said about Matondo being the best player in Belgium from January on if that's what your were meaning he said that 100%.

31.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 14:10:45
Bellshill, did you see the goal he scored against us? The boy looks like he will be an equal to Boyd at the very least.

And as most folk have commented, he will get goals, which will get us points. Simple as that.

32.) 28 Jan 2023
28 Jan 2023 14:55:41
The last striker we signed from Hibs wasn`t Cummings he joined from a club down south, The last striker we signed from Hibs would be Kenny Miller the first time.

Away and stick your holiday fund on Nisbet going to Rangers, I trust the wife or husband will enjoy Saltcoats for a day out on the bus this summer because that's your whack. and no chips either.

Jeez.
