I think Beale just proved we definitely do need a director of football! He wanted to do everything himself and look how that turned out? He picked and signed all the players we are now slamming as being rubbish, he spent all his time travelling to meet said players rather than focusing on his actual job of working on tactics and systems and coaching. Plus if it is Clement it’s already been stated that he doesn’t like doing the ‘signing of players’ part and much prefers to leave all of that to a DoF and focus on working with the team instead (as Beale probably should have) .

We most definitely do need a director of football and that is our model structure of our club now ? It also allows our new manager to concentrate on coaching the players and tactics, as well as helping choose new signings with our DOF ? Takes a lot of work/ pressure of the manager trying to do everything and allows our manager to manage ?.

I think a dog is fine but ideally new manager should be involved in the choice of he needs to work with him only makes sense especially when manager position is the more important position.
