See the board battle might be over 4 new members (we nearly have enough for a football team) couple of old faces and two new ones but why no Dave King??

Small steps! First objective was to get "our men" on the Board. Next stage is to have Blin go through the books - NOT the accounts to be published as they will not cover the last 6 months - and conclude the extent the current Board have - if is the case - failed in their fudicial duties as Directors. I expect agreements will be reached behind closed doors that will result in Stockbridge quietly leaving (and one or two others) and new appointments to be made before the year-end. It's all part of the game! Right now all Mather and Stockbridge have achieved is some breathing space and more time!

For the record, if its true I don't agree with McLelland coming back as Chairman. Alastair Johnson was far more effective - and respected.

Absolutely fantastic!

4 additional corporate remuneration packages! Remember what the yank said about those when he was considering taking over the Ibrox franchise!

100% bonuses for them?

There won't be any "old" faces as they were at the helm when the previous club was liquidated and, by law, they cannot be involved in the Phoenix club!

Agree about Johnston over McLelland but definitely don't expect Stockbridge to be going any time soon.

4.) 04 Sep 2013
@2 mate wot are you talkin about Murray will be aloud onto the board I'm pretty sure the businessmen putting his name forward wouldn't be doing so if he was banned and also have the board not said the wages for all would be getting looked at for getting cut so there will be no 100% bonuses

5.) 04 Sep 2013
Did mccoll not say he would push through egm mather said they were in more contact than mccoll was admitting think mather has been proved to be correct although he gets abuse on this site think mather deserves credit for how he has handle the situation and surely he's allowed these people on the board in the intrests of rangers and not for himself think the gers fans have got mather wrong imo

6.) 04 Sep 2013
Good points SPM. Blin is a professional and will leave no stone uncovered when analysing the books and you can be sure that there will be a lot of nasty surprises however as long as he stops the rot and at least gives the shareholders some idea of what was going on

Totally agree OP it looks like we might at long last be going towards the correct direction. Dave King as he has proven before is the one Rangers fan with lots of Wonga who seems to be prepared to plug the holes in the what we can afford and what we actually spend. IMO he will eventually be invited onto the board through larger share holding or our urgent need of reddies. Cost cutting will hasten now with Mr Blin as the fiduciary duties of the board would appear not to have been carried out to best serve the shareholders and the fan base.
According to that well known "friend" of Rangers wee Jimmy Spence of the BBC the second brother of the bus group will also be opted onto the board. As Spencie Boy was continually questioning Paul Murray's and John McClelland's "Fit person status" surely an individual who has served time in Jail for VAT non payment cannot pass this test even though the conviction is long spent?

Otherwise a better day at the office.

if as you say "the conviction is long spent" then yes of course he is clear, we stopped hanging people some time ago

10.) 05 Sep 2013
@9 "Fit and proper person"- non payment of VAT- hmm let me think wasn't somebody else guilty of that at Rangers in recent times -of yes Craig Whyte. As you say we stopped hanging people some time ago- which is a pity he would fit a rope just nicely thank you.
Och yes the SFA are bound to over look this "petty theft"
