Rangers: Ally McCoist supports Dave King return

Guy goes from white knight to Whyte knight. SDM to Whyte to Green to Mathers to King. whilst always slagging off the last guy.

Also says he's right behind board and approaching King shows they're good guys.

I'm a Tim, just so we are clear, and I try to walk the middle of the road most times, but ally, and I have never met him personally, has hit rock bottom in my eyes ( I doubt he or you are worried), so sad to see a guy that had the love of the fans throwing it all was for a few quid. HH. Joe

If most fans are being honest they also backed these people and with regards to dave king then I would back his return so long as he opens the books up completely to all scrutiny and leaves nothing in the club left open to any undue controversy before he takes up any post but can this all be done before the AGM I very much doubt it and I smell some false promises being made in an effort to get these incumbants past the agm on the back of dave king coming to the rescue, I also hope I am wrong because this club doesn't need another false dawn. Ally is better concentrating on team matters and stop trying to jump from camp to camp depending on how the wind blows.
Ally has been used as a buffer since Walter left and feels he must comment on everything. He should just talk about team matters as he is only an ordinary shareholder and can cast his vote accordingly.
Dave King will not be influenced by others blowing his trumpet and although a total bluenose, he will put the club on its feet again. That is if he decides to go ahead!
I feel he will, after a total gut and fillet of all that is bad with our beloved team.

If we it becomes a clean slate 1 day ally should be leaving also.

5.) 10 Oct 2013
Does the club need immediate cash?

He sould have been behind King all along

7.) 10 Oct 2013
All this stuff about slating ally at every
turn has to stop
He was asked his opinion on D. King
he said he would be a welcome
appointment to the board as the
majority of us think. He's hardly going
to say he doesn't want him is he.
A lot of people forget (although handsomely paid) ally has done more than just a management job for our club when others
would've walked

8.) 10 Oct 2013
To be honest it sounds like a desperate attempt by the board to generate immediate cash flow before the AGM or possibly before it runs out completely. as for Ally throwing his support behind yet another saviour its now got as bad as a Chairman's vote of confidence for a manager under pressure

@3 Totally agree Ally has been pulled all over the place instead of being able to concentrate on the park. I can't help feeling that his passion for the club has been his weak spot, and the spivs know it! He has been fighting the cause, even to a fault. Who has been there to sheild him like a manager does for his players? I would love to see him focused on the park, leaving all else to people he can trust, would Dave King be the right king of guy for Rangers? I say yes!

#7 A lot of people forget (although handsomely paid) ally has done more than just a management job for our club.

Exactly fans should not forget the vital work Ally did in promoting the share issue for Charles Green, sorry, the club, going to various meetings around the country and doing extensive interviews saying that he was buying shares himself 'as a fan' to get everybody onside albeit his only cost a penny each. Well done Super Ally. And remember he didn't even look at his contract when signing it and had no idea he was on over 800000 a year for struggling to beat part timers.

11.) 10 Oct 2013
10. Agreed. Anyone who can't remember that he was on over £800 k a year has a serious memory attention span problem and should not be allowed to be involved in sourcing and signing new players!

12.) 10 Oct 2013
McCoist has zero credibility time we got shot of him

13.) 11 Oct 2013
@10, totally agree

I do not like Ally McCoist anymore in any way, Manager - clueless, Public speaking - embarrassing, Lies - brilliant, Choice of latest 'pal' - great at backing anything that keeps him in a job, Face - both of them, rubbish - What £800k salary honest I never noticed mind the new contract small print ah get the lot back in SPFL and ma bonuses and back to my £800k. not that I'm bothered like. patronising dishonest and mercenary words that sum up this FORMER Rangers great. george
