So it's confirmed that rangers have brought in Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson, Kevin Mbabu, Remie Streete and Haris Vuckic.

I am not sure how to react to it as I have mixed feelings.

Negative ones are:
1. it's linked to Ashley
2. Shouldn't we be looking to give our own youngsters a chance?
3. More wages, although I assume Ashley has got it so Newcastle pay all their wages

Positives:
1. Bringing in some new players to get the dross that we currently have.

I can see some reasoning behind it as it's just a case of getting through this season and trying to get thru via the playoffs. with the current squad I don't think we would beat hibs in the playoff, let alone the spl team we would face after it.

the players they have brought in seem to be in the correct positions:
Gael Bigirimana : hard tackling midfielder to replace Black.
Shane Ferguson : left winger to replace Smith or Aird
Kevin Mbabu : central defender or right back to replace foster
Remie Streete : central defender to replace mcculloch or mcgregor
Haris Vuckic : attacking midfielder to create some chances as our current midfield haven't created any chandes since Macleod left.

I think it's just a case of getting through the rest of the season then seeing what happens. Hope we get promoted then look at who will come in as manager and what players will leave and come in. major changes ahead.

If you think Newcastle are paying he wages for he you must be kidding.

We will be paying all or most of their wages on top of the wage bill we have now.

How many players do we now have on our wage bill?

these 5 are coming to play not sit on bench MA will tell Mcdowall to play them.

Not a bad thing if they are upto it but still means we will be paying out wages to he 5 not playing anymore.

I think it is a positive step in many ways but without knowing all the detail it is hard to give a true assessment. I think we may be paying only a percentage of their wages, if anything, or maybe Ashley is picking up the tab and adding it to his loan. No doubt he'll have done it to suit himself. Also, some of our duds that will miss out in game time are paid a basic wage plus money when they play.
My biggest concern is that the new imports may just end up like the current squad, tactically inept and looking like a bunch of misfits. To get anything out of them, and even some of the current squad they need coached and we are most definitely lacking in that area.
