The immensity of the challenge facing Kings and TTB in rebuilding the club was graphically illustrated by our shambolic display in last night's Youth Cup Final. Durrant listlessly watched his charges being outclassed. It was Allylite night - no plan, players out of position, unfit, uncoached and undeveloped. The club is broken top down and bottom up. These youngsters - and there is some genuine talent in Walsh, Sinnamon, Gasparotto and Hardie - deserve much more professional stewardship. While DK must clearly give priority to proper blub governance and a revamped first team squad, there much also be put in place a modern coaching and development structure to nurture our young players and mould them into an effective unit. If not, what few young playing assets we have will decay as fast as the Stadium. And that malaise must also be infecting the much younger kids as well. Neglect this, and we neglect a vital part of the rebuilding project and a viable future.

They should have binned Durrant with McDowell and put Durie back into that role until a full time youth supremo can be sourced. We are five years from having a proper footballing infrastructure and a "rangers" culture instilled in all the players top to bottom.
Durrant has been as listless as mccoist and frankly I do not agree with AM,KMcD, i'd getting any pay off. Interference and board issues aside there was nothing to stop keeping the players fit and motivated. Sadly that would only have covered 30% of the challenge! tactical ability to set out a winning team! organise the defence! structure a midfield and have pacey frontmen was the rest. AND the ability to see it all fall apart and do something other than drag 11 men back to defend corners and go for the long ball to the old guys up front.

Put durie back in that role when he was kenny McD assistant he sat on his arse doing and saying nothing.

Durie was the man put out incharge of the youth development squad but in truth billy kirkwood was doing all the donkey work get durie, durrant the lot of them gone

Bring in the likes of Neil McCann, Derek Adams, Derek Ferguson, even Barry Ferguson to challenge the youth to prove themselves develop them into players capable of what's required to be a ranger!!
