you can not be bit worried with kings statement from him So far, since we came in, we have demonstrated that we have done everything we said we were going to do.
“The club needed money – we put the money in. That’s an absolute fact.“We’ve done our bit so I’m asking the fans to think back to three seasons ago when, for their first home game in the Third Division, Rangers had the biggest attendance in the UK.

what promises have the kept to so far if it wasn't for the fans he wouldn't be there today he says he has demonstrated everything he says he was gona do so far that is a load of rubbish he has only put in a small fraction compared to supporters still no manager no directer football changed there mind on that one no listing no scouting infrastructure no repairs no new players and no proper investment from them yet all been promises and no action

he then says for the manager to have a playing budget of 12 million pound the fans will need buy 45.000 season tickets there is no problem with that cause the fans will support the team but will they reach that target we will see the problem with that statement is where is the promised investment from king and his investors they are asking fans to pay once again without any real investment from them he does say more cash will come from the boardroom if needed but that is questionable if he truly wants sell that amount of season tickets again then he and his investors should match the investment from the fans pound for pound and invest in the team scouts coaches and repair to stadium ect a joint venture between king and the fans I see that more beneficial to our club

he seems to think they have done there bit and tops it off with saying We’ve done our bit so I am now asking they fans to do there practically he puts it in a longer statement that that and goes on bout three years ago he doesn't need ask the fans they will back him it should be us asking him to back the team and he has yet to prove that they have any sustainable amounts of money to take us forward that is needed

The press really do glorify Mr king. Why. They have totally worded his statement differently making him sound like some kind of saviour. They have the chance to ask a number of questions but choose not to. Why was he not asked about his investmen. He is relying on season ticket money just like previous regimes. It All smells a bit iffy. A rise in season ticket money. How can they justify that. He looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Take it he's away back to south Africa away from it all. Usual. Make a statement then bugger off.

Name the football club in Scotland that does not rely on season ticket money.

Some strange stuff from DK. Telling football agents and the rest of the world that we will need to overspend. Good luck to the next manager trying to sign players at a bargain price with that kind of soundbite.

Also letting any potential investors know he wasn't putting in money as an 'investment', in other words investors will likely lose their dosh. Sheer stupidity saying that, not to mention investors being put off by him telling the world that he isn't going to pay a debt any time soon. Not the best way to get folk to hand over their cash to Rangers with him in command, is it?

Then there's his talk about things being worse than he imagined under the bonnet but hey ho, we're still in the best shape since he has been a member of the board. How so?

Likewise, we can't attract some managers because we're still in the championship but that also seems to be a good thing as it gives us more time to prepare for the top flight?

Contradictions. Contradictions.

Think you need to see how the close season pans out before making judgements. People are to eager to jump in and make sweeping statements. Martybhoy you are a classic example of this although strangely enough it's always negative. If it is Warburton to get the job it's a positive move and hopefully a step in the right direction

Some need to simmer down over King. We are weeks in to his regime. Coming in and picking up the mess left by the previous incubants who made a disaster of running our club. So many quick to critise a man who has previously put £20M in to our football club, lost it and is back for me. Some need to think back would you rather give King a chance or let Easdale and Ashley back in the door. Stop being spoilt brats, back the board back your club.

Why is he saying you are debt free. Strange thing to say. The press cower away from asking decent questions. Just like to glam it all up. Season ticket prices are up and he hits out with this statement. Am I the only one on here seeing what he is actually doing and meaning. he's basically doing the same as the rest of them. he's lost the plot already going back on things he is saying. Mr Ashley will soon put little dave in his place on Friday.

nothingbutthestruth the old board are history Murray ect have been in for a few months now what have they been doing Ashley will not give up his contracts so we will just need live with it pointless negotiating with him I personally did not trust whyte green ect so never attend games as I was not stupid and realised what had been happening from the day Murray sold the club yeah the previous board did make complete mess and it will take time to fix but when the new chairman comes in and makes press statements and promises then backs out of them can you blame people for being wary about him do not think you need to be calling fellow supporters spoiled brats and telling them to simmer down we are far from that just concerned about the team I will be buying mine and my family's season tickets this year but why say the fans buying season ticket books will impact on the managers budget that is a strange one to me considering he previously said he would invest more than 20 million I thought this would have meant on the playing squad and other things like it or not the board will be scrutinised by people they will have time because there are rangers men but they need come good on a lot of these promises to get the fans back that where not going to games after we won the egm

why does he and his investors not match the fans pound for pound and we invest it in all parts of our club this would then bring back the missing fans and get the place buzzing again this would show fans he means business this seems like a very good idea in my opinion

I for one can see the logic in everyone's posts martybhoy may be o here to wind up but you have to hand it to him there is sense in what he is saying it's a fine line for us fans and the contradictory statements don't help but his vision seems clear enough I for one will back the new regime and come what may will reserve my judgement until we are ready to kick a ball

I wonder has King got any money or assets that he can quickly convert into cash , after paying so much cash to the South African tax authorities . I don't doubt that he isn't a very rich man , but I doubt if he can lay his hands on much money to invest in a football club which will, be a long time , if ever , before he can make a profit .

nothingbuthestruth we have never agreed a lot in yhe past and I am really not a dave king man but right now he and j gilligan and co must be given all the support possible at this minute in time they must be given a chance people can say this that and the other about king murray douglas park and the other chap but they should think on john gilligan would not be anypart of anything that was detrimental to rangers he is as straight as a dye
