Former Rangers player Lee McCulloch in the frame for a coaching role at Rangers.

Personally i'm not sure if I like the sound of this or not. He brings a lot of experience and was a very good player through his career.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was written into his last contract that he signed personally I feel we should get rid of him and bring in someone like Neil McCann but then again maybe Davie Weir might have had a say in it either way I hope it doesn't happen sorry guys just my opinion

Big Jig is a Rangers man through and through, been a very good player for us and was the first player to say he was staying when most of our top men were opting to leave. Deserves a bit more respect than he is receiving from some of our supporters and if he is being offered a coaching job by the management then they must rate him. I hope he gets the job.

Big Jig was ready to sign for Celtic from Motherwell and his father told him he would have to look for somewhere to stay if he did no matter how good the contract on offer was. Maybe that tells you more about what matters to Jig, money. That's the only reason he stayed and the guys on big money who "jumped ship" done it for the good of the Club, surely it was bad enough over the last 3 n a half years without having 4 times the wage bill to pay?

I'm sorry, he is rangers through and through, so was McCoist, doesn't make you a good coach. Too many times we go for 'Rangers'' men. David Weir is an exception because he comes in the package with Warburton, proved that they have worked well together previously

whether he would make a good coach or not I don't know but the fact about him staying when the big bang struck was he knew he had a lengthy contract with money he could not better anywhere else

Aye right McCulloch signed up for £2.1million wage package he would never ever have got off anyone other than that fool McCoist

He was past it then and him plus a few other cost us the promotion.

He will be in the press slagging Rangers same as the rest when he realises the cash cow has dried up.

No more old pals we just got rid of our amazing fitness guru and Durie plus I am praying Durrant is finally gone too.

Here is another way of looking at McCulloch and his loyalty to Rangers 3 years ago.
At 34 years old he will be getting the same amount of money as he was- or maybe slightly more.
He will be made captain by his friend Ally McCoist who will now be his manager.
Written into his contract and legally binding, it is alleged, was the stipulation that if he was fit he MUST play.

Now when you are just about on the scrapheap and are not a specialist midfielder, striker or defender but are simply willing to play in all 3 positions it is probably quite an easy decision to make to stay.

It maybe the reason he hasn't grabbed Gary Locke's offer is they aren't paying him enough money and he thinks he may get another few years of higher money with Rangers.

What or who would he coach? - strikers, midfielders or defenders- remember he is a specialist in none of these positions.

When you are as far down as Rangers currently are and money is as tight as it is for us you have to ask the easy questions
(1) Do we 100% need him as a coach? If not why splash out money we don't need to
(2) Will he motivate the players as a coach to greater endeavour? He certainly didn't as a captain and player?
(3) Has any other individual earned more from Rangers over the years? Probably only McCoist.

So I say to you we don't need him, we can't afford him McCulloch should sign for Kilmarnock or any other team on the planet but our club has helped him enough already. IMO
