I think Eustace will be played sparingly against tougher opponents (SPFL teams in the cup and maybe the likes of hibs, Falkirk etc away games) and Halliday and Holt would sit in front of him with Zalalem and Holt rotating. Also think the stint Halliday has put in at CDM will stand him in good stead once we're back in the Premiership and he moves into a more forward position, all the covering and tackling he's had to do so far can only benefit him. Could be a real player for us once he's back in his preferred position. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that there's a lot of support for Eustace when none of have seen him play and that's puzzling. I wouldn't drop Halliday, Holt or McKay and Zelalem, while we've got him, is a definite starter. Arsenal and Rangers fans would expect that and he's got to be one of the most outstanding young talents ever seen at Ibrox. The one position which needs addressing is who's to play alongside Waghorn. Miller isn't scoring, Clark's not exactly staked a claim and Oduwa blows a bit hot and cold. I'd like to see Walsh given a bit of a run. Temmpleton ? Don't know where he's disappeared to.

kfraser, think the reason support for Eustace is obvious, Warburton obviously rates him or would not be spending all this time on him, therefore as his judgement on players so far has been good punters believe the same with Eustace.

It's all went a bit quiet again with the eustace deal, was he not meant to sign at the start of the wk.

It's amazing how good players become when they don't play? I have to agree with kfraser I don't know why so many Rangers fans come on hear bumming up Eustace. It's clear he has severe injury issues and as the weeks go by its less likely he will sign as a player.

Warburton says John Eustace career records is 98% of matches of teams he has played in he has won. That's an outstanding statistic. Law, Halliday, Shiels have all spoken publicly about his input, knowledge and experience has been invaluable. I have seen him play at Watford, possibly the most under rated holding midfield player to have played in the English game. Fantastic passer of the ball and has Stuart McCall like tenacity.

I think those statistics are way out mate. He maybe said in games he played in for one season or something similar. To have a 98% win ratio at his age would make him far and away the most expensive player on the planet? He must have played maybe 3,000 games. and won 2,980?, No.
