there isn't half some drivel posted on here by aspiring football "experts" disguised as fans. !

can we not all start to look at the positives and stop finding fault with players, management and other clubs.

remember where we were 2 seasons ago and look as us now, top of the championship, still in the scottish cup, and in the petrofac cup final. On top of all that we have decent attendances, a scouting system, improvements at Ibrox and murray park ongoing, and most of all a decent management team.
Lets get POSITIVE guys, not negative.

People are entitled to give their opinion both good and bad and you having a cheap dig at them is poor. These forums are for all us Rangers fans to put forward our views and discuss and not for you to have a go at them. Is no one allowed to have an opinion that you don't like?

biffo316 i agree with you that its all about opinions, My current opinion is that there is a lot of us, me included, that are too ready to pick holes instead of giving praise where due.
I never said I don't like the posts, it would just be nicer to see less negativity and more constructive viewpoints.
We are going in the right direction, let's not lose sight of the sh*t we have been dealt in the last few years,

I am just concerned with how the team will get on in the top division. I really hope that money will be spent during the close season and that we can bring in better players. Celtic are rotten however they are still better than we are and you can bet should we go up whoever their manager is will get cash to spend. Yeah the football we are playing is much better but we are in the 2nd tier and there is a difference in class from the championship to the premiership.

Bill, we are all well aware of the past and what we have went through and where we are now. That said most of the negative posts I have read are constructive in the fact that they have solutions. We all know we are doing well and playing good stuff but the fact is bill if we don't have the penalty box goal scorer to take the chances we create then we will struggle against the "bigger teams". I think we also need a bit of muscle in midfield and a CB with experience. That's my opinion, now people might agree or disagree with me but like everyone else on here I'm entitled to have my say. A club like ours will always have certain expectations and we as fans expect the club to settle for nothing less than high expectations. To be honest bill it sounds as though you are happy to settle for less? . There is no point saying we should have won 3-0 yesterday and settle on the positives. We never won and must improve in front of goal. We are Rangers and we expect to win.

I think waggy is superb but would be superber if we had a hateley type target man, he would pick up the scraps and with his undoubted skill dribbling and the like he will get 25 plus in the premier next year.

Cheers biffo, waggy is top drawer but always vacates the centre when asked to play there and we end up with nothing through the middle. Hope ohalloran remit is stay in the box and play off the shoulder of the cb's. He's rapid and quite physical so hope he converts the chances we create. Also lads what is it with these short corners! We have to give teams something else to think about.

I reckon that Coldo has hit the nail on the head

I am not so sure that there is that much difference between the SPL and the Championship and equally there is not much between ourselves, Hibs and Falkirk.

All of the above said, I expect Rangers to win the Championship this season and win the SPL or be close to it next season. Unfortunately I don't get too warm a feeling that we will with the current players and while I welcome the manager's comments that he will look to sign five players those players will need to be better than what we have already and personally I would like to see quality out and out goal scorer and a quality midfield player that can ope up a defence.

I would also like to see a quality centre back that can organise the defence.

Of course, one positive is that the majority of the team for next season will have a full season together so we should have a side that is used to playing together.

Let's hope that our Scouting team can uncover a couple of gems! A reincarnation of Baxter or Gazza would be perfect!

Couldn't agree more with you bill. The club and team heading back to the position a club of our stature should be in. Think the current board given time will set the correct foundations for success going forward. But being a fan and expressing our opinions is what it's all about. Progression of the first team is still a bit off and there is some players who just aren't good enough.
