Just watched the Inverness game back and for the last few games halidays passing has been poor. He gave possession away against hearts they scored. Sloppy passing in front of penalty box against caley fortunately big Wes saved him. I can't wait for rossiter to fill that void. Until then why doesn't Crooks get a shot. Need a bit of strength there and he looks like he can mix it.

Agree Bluenose. I find it strange that when Crooks was brought in to play, in the Tynecastle drubbing, he was used in the roll Tav has playing the last couple of games. A real shame for the boy and no idea why he didn't use him in the holding mid which is his natural position and use Halliday in the more advanced roll. So not a fair crack of the whip for Crooks imo. The sooner himself or Rossiter are fit enough to shunt Halliday from holding mid the better. Seems after the Barton row that's the only role the gaffer the gaffer wants to play him in.

I think the way Crooks was dropped into an unfamiliar position at Tynecastle was extremely poor judgement on the part of the manager. Hate to think that the lads season will be judged by that performance. Looks that his confidence has taken a battering and that would be understandable. As far as I recall we signed him as a defensive holding midfielder who can double up at central defence. Would like to see the lad given an opportunity in one of those roles.

Hallidays passing has been poor since he came. He gives the ball away in dangerous areas and puts the defence in more trouble than they need.

He's never been Rangers quality. But you know he was born 2 minutes from ibrox so let's sing his name. Yet hate on DW. It's logic I can't apply.

Why do you guys think Crooks is a CDM just because he's 6ft 4 doesn't mean he's a defensive player. Crooks wasn't played in an unfamiliar role, He's said countless of times he feels he's more of an attacker he even had a few games at striker for Stanley last season. Before anyone says he played they're for accrington stanley they don't even play a CDM.

We won't see the best of crooks till next season, that's if he gets a full pre season under his belt.

Crooks like Rossiter seems to be another player who constantly struggles with injury. He has been very unfortunate and it's hard to see him getting a game unless a few other midfield players get injured.

i agree with you anti-establishment, because he's a diehard bear doesn't and shouldn't mean he gets an easy ride with a lot of our supporters, but he does compared to others! andy halliday without question has made a lot of mistakes this season and gets off lightly imo compared to ie. tav, kiernan, wilson etc!

Callam, he didn't play dm as such but don't think there's much doubt he's a more defensive minded midfielder then a Holt windass etc, really not sure why Warburton can't see past halliday for that holding position when it's clear to everyone halliday isn't suited to that position.
