Freddie Adu anyone? could be worth a trial potentially play in the developmental team with view to offering a contract, I kno0w he hasn't had much luck recently but a guy with that potential when he made the break through is bound to have something to offer with the right level of training.

Potential from 14-17 if i remember correctly.

Nothing of merit since and he's about to turn 28.

Not going to cut it at all.

Adu is the best possible example of why we should never place too many hopes on young boys making the grade. It really is a lottery, nothing to do with age, as boys mature at different stages and often it's the later developers who weren't showing at 15-16 who went on to have top careers.
