MW and co lawyers stating they want to see evidence of the resignations of all three parties to prove they resigned. I really hope there is such a document otherwise rangers are going to look ridiculous to all in the football world and potentially have an adverse effect on getting a quality replacement. Surely our board who are all astute business men know employment law?

just because lma gets involved everyone panics, as far as i am concerned they resigned end of, i don't think they have a leg to stand on, it will all blow over soon when they get their move to where they thought they were going

Supposedly the LMA don't have the power to demand it, there's no way it would have happened without some sort of documents

MW is saying he never resigned but is not denying the agents involvement with the three of them going to another club and subsequent change of heart. The lawyers are going to be the only winners here.

yep- play on words, they did not personally resign, their agent did if terms were met. their job fell through and they came scurrying back.
personal view, i think dk called the agents bluff and played a blinder.

Surely there should be something legal that says if you try and sign for another club whilst employed at a club, then that employment contract is void. Cannot have your cake and eat it sorry.

Hope you are right about the document (or statement in front of witnesses). I spent many years in employment law and most cases lost because most senior execs did not know the law and fired when they felt like it. We should have someone in place somewhere who does know the law surely.

Does anyone even know how resignations work when your agent represents you? Personally I haven't got a clue but I reckon it is different from me walking into work with a resignation wrote out. Surely if you have someone agreeing terms for you then all of that is above board?

Don't like the sound of this. Looks like another trip to court I reckon we've been in court more times than Andy Murray. Just hope we've took right advice on this one or that will be more money pouring out of the club.

Surely if an agent represents you then that's what it means, don't hear any of them sacking there agent, i know if was me and he talked rubbish i'd be firing him

So if a club contact an agent wanting there client to be a manager and he says yes does that mean the manager don't need to sign a contract because the agent said yes? Surely rangers board can't be that silly that nothing was signed.

Agents negotiate a deal when you join a club, but until the player/ manager puts pen to paper its not deemed legal.

Same applies if manager/ player negotiate a deal to exit the club.

No signed resignations then no chance of King winning in any court.

announcing your intent to leave or desire to leave at such a position could be considered as dereliction of duties and make the continuation of employment untenable.

i am fairly certain company lawyers would have decided if what the board were doing would be lawful and imagine that this is the reason the announcement took so long. ie the lawyers were taking it into consideration. even that said on occasions it would be a measured risk to potentially lose a court case than have a management team in place that doesn't really want to be there.

targets that were set would no longer be priority to them since they know they would be off in the summer anyway.

Andy Murray is never in court more like on court

That's not true under Scottish law. Your representative/ agent can verbally resign for their client

I suspect that it will not reach court. There will be a settlement based on the last six months of this season and Warburton and his cronies will vie appointed at Notts Forrest in the Summer.
