I have to agree with several posts questioning the imminent appointment of McInnes.

He will give us exactly what Tommy Burns gave Celtic. A team with passion and the Scottish mentality but it will only ever get us 2nd place and the odd Cup - he is an average Manager and nothing else. His record against Celtic and European Campaigns with Aberdeen demonstrate a lack of tactical awareness or the ability to out think opponents. I haven't heard one fan so far I've spoken to who are convinced by his appointment

Celtic went through 4 Managers during our 9 in a row before getting lucky with Wim Jansen and we can ill afford another poor decision with McCoist, Warburton and Caxinha already falling short of the standard required.

We need an experienced Manager who has won trophies and has a Rangers connection. To me that's Frank De Boer etc. Anything less is giving them 10 in a row unless Rodgers leave in the next few years.

Serious question - If Minces is appointed manager - does the beard have to go? Do the club still maintain a clean shaven image for the manager? Remember what happened to John Greig?

Corks77. You cite Tommy Burns but he only won one Scottish Cup and one Ayrshire Cup in six years in management of Scottish clubs, i. e. Kilmarnock and Celtic. Didn't exactly set the heather on fire, did he?

What about the tracksuit afcw191, surely it will be a suit for the man moving forward should he get the job!

Corks77, I agree wholeheartedly with every single word in your post mate. De Boer was always my choice and I've put up exactly the same arguments against the appointment of the highly mediocre McInnes.

I think that's his point Doiger mate, he only won the odd cup and 2nd place.

Wee Bear - Suit wins hands down over a tracky for a Rangers manager -
