I eat my words about Murty. The board must act now and get big Sam. Hibs and Aberdeen lose as well so opportunity missed and Moult gets both goals against the Sheep. Can this go on much longer?

I've not said anything about who our new manager will be and I've honestly not got a clue.

I think Murty has done great with the youth team and it would be ashame to loose him altogether if he got the job and was sacked.

You can't blame him for today, we were pretty toothless. If we did go with Murty he'd need to be given time and forgiveness for making some mistakes as it would be his first managers job.

investing in a young inexperienced manager is not at this moment in time a risk we can afford to take.

I have been totally bemused by almost all of the names mentioned for the managers job and have said so far that if we can’t go and get a Gio van Bronckhorst or similar top manager then we should stick with Murty.

That was a terrible result today but I wasn’t there so I can’t comment on the individual performances.

For me unless an outstanding candidate fancies the job then Murty will still be in charge on Friday and I will reserve judgement on him until then, if he goes with the same players that let him down so badly today and they fail then he’s back to youths 100%.

However, if he drops 4 or 5 and they turn in a performance then that’s all we can ask of the man.

If we had a new manager in place straight after Pedro got pumped and we won the first 2 and lost today we would say he’s still finding his feet.

Obviously another poor result on Friday and Murty is no longer an option.
