The defence was night and day with Patterson in it. Apart from the Hibs goal we limited them to nothing. No huge gaps between the CBs because Goldson didn't feel he had to go out and cover Patterson the way he does with Tav.

They were down to 10 men early tho Kate can’t read much into it after they went to 10 IMO a before the red they were the better team.

Wee bit of Devils Advocate for the Patterson lovefest to ponder 🤔
Didn't we lose a goal with Patterson in the defence when Hibs had 11 players on the park?
So did Patterson only play OK because Hibs had 10 men?
Or was he outstanding because he is more disciplined defensively, picked and chose when to go forward, had Lundstram who is coming into a game covering for him and we dominated the second half?
Offensively he was miles behind the ball a couple of times when there was acres of space in front of him. But I think he is better at driving into the box with the ball at his feet and I think he links play better.
Can still improve his final ball / decision making.
None of the above is a dig at Tav who has been a wonderful servant.

Patterson is a far better defender than Tav, I'm not talking about assists I'm talking about defending and the back 4 being more solid as a unit.

I’d agree Patterson is better defender than tavernier, would improve if played more IMO.

Stromtrooper they were the better team in the opening 30 minutes? You need to get your tv fixed or different specs. Their keeper kept them in the match. Their goal was completely against the run of play.

Patterson pit some terrific crosses in, and a good variety of crosses as well. Had 2 or 3 driven across goal we were unlucky not score from. Wasn't just lumping hopeful crosses in every time he had the ball.

Kfraser we never had a shot on target the 1st 30 mins so how did he keep them in the game? We were horrendous until they got a man sent off
