Ok we brought in the kid from Man U but how many wages have we saved to bring Diallo in .

Why are we skint? Having money and not spending doesn't mean we're skint, January is notorious for platers being over pride, if the correct player was available I'm sure we'd spend, no point spending money for the sake of it.

We are not cash rich maybe not in debt . If the Money from Gerrard and Patterson has went elsewhere to make the club more applying to investors well fair enough.

Like every other club right now, emerging from the crippling to revenue streams that C.V. caused, we have to be within our means. We have signed a decent loan in Diallo, secured Souttar and possibly Doekhi, with a potential too add one more due to Hagi being out, so I don’t see how being skint is actually bad, when for once we’re asset rich. Wages still need to be paid so I’m glad the club is not going out and throwing money about we don’t have. I think Wilson is doing a decent job and we have added great coaches that are all in the budget for development, I think we’ve done really well in the few months, preceding the previous manager.

Gvb, give us an insight into why you think we’re skint?

How much income, how about our expenses, wages etc, bank balance?

If you want to rubbish other posters and the board, at least have some credibility by sharing the facts that helped form your opinion.

BTW, income = how much money we get from everything that we do (think, greggs selling sausage rolls)

Mid season is never the time to spend money unnecessarily. As long as we keep our main players then I'll be happy. Players some have written off have come on to a game under the new coaches. Not worried.

John I’m calling out the people who are calling the club skint and demanding that we spend cash. We should only be spending cash if it improves the team, not because we have some in our pocket.

And yes I head up a finance team and manage a £350m budget at work.

Not taking sides here and claim to be a financial expert but if we have 20 million in the bank why are the soft loans required continually by the three bears etc, why did Gerrard make a point of saying we hadn't spent a penny in the last 2 transfer windows (3 if you include this one so far, and yes January isn't an easy window to recruit), whether we should or shouldn't give hearts the money early for souttar thee fact us at this moment we havent, if we wanted the boy that badly and rate him so highly surely half a million out of the money raked in for Gerrard and Patterson could be spent on him especially as we don't know how helanders recovery will go and balogun can't be relied upon to be fit for every game either - I suppose what I'm saying is the evidence points to us having no money to spend

Surely we must be in a decent financial position. 4mill from Villa, 12mill from Everton. Money for winning the league, money from our European run. The merchandise sales must be profitable. Rangers have went years of over spending and sourcing income from different avenues imo money will have to be paid out to balance the bookes, things like bringing gerrard and his team in paying higher wages to them spending money when they’re wasn’t much there to get us to a position of strength I. e not have to sell for bellow value 4-5 years ago we would have probs accepted 7 mil for Patterson at the same stage in career, some people may know better than myself but rangers seem to be thinking to the years ahead now not just the weeks and months like the past upgrading ibrox and Edminson house ect wouldn't have been cheap. If the board put money up for a player this window I will be over the moon if not they have my backing regardless. the vast majority of our team are champions from last season they no how to get the job done the other mob have singed about 72 new players this season and can only keep fit fir 1 half of a game so I for 1 am looking forward to the CL anthem blaring round the best stadium in the world again next season!
