I posted a while ago about the American consortium who were rumoured to be interested in buying Bournemouth - which looks like it's done and dusted.

At the time I had heard that they were also interested in buying us, and read today that the owner wants to replicate the City Group and build a sporting dynasty.

What's our thoughts on being American owned and being a "franchise" within a larger group of clubs?

I'm not a fan of this EHL. We are Rangers. Not a part of a group. No poor Scottish cousin that are used to breed players like Salzburg.

If it means us being untouchable in the league and able to compete in Europe then I am all for it! So long as any prospective new owner is committed to Rangers being the best team in Scotland I am all for it! I can't see us playing second fiddle to Bournemouth. who are lucky if they have 15,000 supporters!

Aye being part of a group is terrible for Man City ? breeding players like the red bull teams would be amazing for our club look at the money they make on players.

It would be an interesting one, as realistically Bournemouth have virtually no chance of playing in European football - so theoretically we'd be a viable option as a second European club.

The American approach to sport is wildly different to our approach mind you - so any link with American owners would worry me slightly.

Bassey, the point is they have flung nothing at United bar create 700 million in debt.

Could buy us, mortgage stadium, auchenhowie, museum reduce debt in United and ward off ffp for United.
