Hi, For those how are happy to just play in Europa League think of it this way please.
Would you still want us to be in the bottom tier of Scottish football?
We need to progress OK last your was hard to take but we still were there onwards and upwards.

I agree, my first reaction was that we will compete better in the Europa, but now I think we should be testing ourselves at the highest level. The money from CL would help strengthen our team year on year.

Glasgow Rangers should always aspire to play in the best competition possible to us as that's the way of our great club ?I know we got done over in last season's champions league group games but that doesn't mean we should not think/ want our club to participate back in there in the biggest club competition for all european clubs?I most certainly want my club to be playing against the elite of europe in the champions league ?.

it's difficult to envisage anyone with rangers at heart say that they are happy for us to play in the 2nd division of europe coops. sticks in my throat that, can't get my head around that, like saying my club, which is massive by the way, should be happy for the big teams to play while we play whatever is beneath them, no chance.

Tom people with rangers at heart know how bad the top competition was for us last year it’s no our level like it or not. Rather trade wins and get a wee run than get embarrassed every week.

I’m desperate to be in the Champions League,
PSV will be favourites to qualify with the way they won the last round, I’ve never gone into a match thinking anything other than a positive result.
Whatever happens though onwards and upwards.

I’m with you raskin. And I remember the abuse some folk on here gave the team when we were getting gubbed last year by Liverpool. Look at the quality and budgets of the opposition, what else do you expect?

The players that take the park will ultimately decide where we belong.
Without being 100% sure, PSV are probably bordering on being a lower to average CL side with this current squad.
Lets be honest though a top CL level side would deal with them quite comfortably.
If we don`t make it to the CL group stages its no shame, they`re a decent outfit, personally looking forward to how the tie plays out over the 2 legs it will let us know where we are.
Hopefully with Benitez between the sticks, Beale will be telling the players to shoot on sight, never know there might be some scar tissue remaining.

I watched the first leg of the PSV v Sturm Graz tie. Three things I took from the game 1) PSV have excellent wide players both of whom are fast and get to the bylines to deliver crosses for De Jong. 2) They can be got at as their midfield tends to be caught ahead of the ball. 3) Sturm Graz are dross. All in all I wouldn't write our chances off by any means.
