And sorry but scotland fans have went down in my opinion.

Booing any national anthem is a disgrace. We are huge rivals with Denmark and Sweden and never would boo their anthem.

No excuses no debate ban them all.

We are now seeing this in Scotland where the SNP have stoked a them and us policy and stance in their quest for independence. And if you don’t agree with their rhetoric, you are classed as anti-Scottish or a Unionist. And where one set of the Country seems to be vilified at every opportunity.

This is just nonsense IMO our fans sing bigot songs left right and centre but some are outraged at booing a national Anthem.

From what I heard it was a very small number of England fans who ruined the silence for Craig Brown, everyone of them should have been ejected from the game but that can't be used as an excuse for the thousands who booed during the national anthem. Asathor is 100% correct no national anthem should ever be booed its a matter of respect.

You are right we are rangers they don't sing them, that us because it's the 6th verse and they only sing one verse. I doubt if many of the fans at a football match would know more than the first verse.
They also boo flower of Scotland.
Two wrongs don't make a right but no point slating the Scotland fans when both sides do the same thing.
I normally respect asathors posts but feel he is wrong to criticise just the Scotland fans.
Perhaps our new king should act to have that verse banned from the anthem. His mother loved Scotland and I'm pretty sure he does too.
Unfortunately football fans are a vicious breed. Other sports fans do not behave in this way.

Booing National Anthems does appear to be peculiar to Football and the booing of the British National Anthem is not restricted to Scotland Fans; I have witnessed fans of an English Football Club also boo the NAtional Anthem, albeit a vociferous minority.
You just wouldn't see this at an International Rugby Match.
Personally I do not approve of Scotland Fans booing the National Anthem and I certainly do not like the attitude of many Scotland Fans to anything related to Rangers. In all honesty however, what Scotland do or do not do in a Sporting Sense is irrelevant since I am not a Scotland Football Fan, (a matter of Birth) .
