Did anybody consider Gheorghe Hagi? He has won titles as manager in Turkey and Romania; was a top player with Real, Barcelona and Galatasaray; and there is no conflict of interest as his son has left Rangers.
He would accept the job in a heartbeat.

Good shout, but would he come to Rangers and would the Board be able to back him financially?

You'd have hagi playing 1-18 his dad has too much to say about his son. Love Hagi would get him back but his dad is quite overshadowing.
