Looks like big Bassey had a mare last night.

yes ed, bassey is the type who can be made to look very poor when taken out of his comfort zone. i loved the boy at rangers, but i never felt he would be a good epl player, i hope i'm wrong, he's the type who becomes unbalanced and clumsy when shifted and add in the much higher calibre of opposition and he can be made to look awful at times, the rough and tumble of scotland suited him very much.

Totally out of position, even Maddison said for the goal he knew bassey wasn’t comfortable on his right as he’s a left footed player so he showed him onto his right foot hoping he’d make a mistake, which he did. Left side of centre or left back, he shouldn’t be played anywhere worse at that level.
Was watching the wolves manager Gary O’Neil before the game discussing his tactics on a previous game with a horizontal rectangle setting up a 4 v 3 ? football’s a complicated game these days ?.

The big man's an easy target when he's played out of position. When he's not comfortable, you can see it written all over his face, and he starts to flap.
If he fails at Fulham, get him back up here on loan, and stick him at left CB or LB, and he'll get his confidence back in no time. ?.

Alloa I thought the same watching ONeil talking tactics, a simple game made complicated. I wonder what some of the old managers of the past would have made of all that.

Many cb's never play as well if right footed at lcb same with left footed at rcb, said this many times, Soutter took some stick on here with his performances at lcb, wonder why not any Rangers manager has played Goldson in that position clearly they see he wouldn't be at his best at the lcb.

So John would you have Bassey play left centre back or left back over Davies or Borna? For me I’m with sima and maybe you are winding us up.

Lost count how many times he bailed us out with his speed and aggression on the road to Seville. As storm said he was great for 6 months and we got way over his value. The defence in the past 2 seasons has been an area we can improve on massively and I would welcome big Calvin back in a heartbeat.

We got over £20million for the big man, we wouldn`t get that for what we have now, if we sold them all as a job lot. We miss his pace and power and he would walk into our side at either left back or centre back.
