I am staying in a hotel outside Birmingham called St Georges Park that is an England FA centre. The facilities are phenomenal.
And surprise surprise who do I see in the restaurant but MW the magic hat.
Before we all start adding 2 and 2 and get 25
He was not sitting with any player but he was with 3 gentleman. As you would
conducted himself with class.
This hotel is full of football people Brad Freedal, Jimmy Floyd HB and I am sure there will be one or two agents about.
Lets hope MW is sorting a deal out for some more fine English young talent
MW different class.

Anyone know what was said between Ally and Neil Lennon at Celtic park during that famous bust up?
I see wee Neil is at it again with the Morton manager Jim is Duff good to see them battling it out two of my least favourite people in Scottish football âš½ go on bhoys fire it into each other.

Such a lovely man, very much misunderstood. I look forward to his good grace and integrity next season.

2.) 30 Mar 2017 20:03:05
Ally told him to brush is teeth

3.) 30 Mar 2017 20:11:47
Just waiting for the reaction of the "governing body". Seep sweep, move along there, nothing to see here.

4.) 31 Mar 2017 04:25:55
Thebluevoice, it's not where you come from, it's what you can do that matters.

5.) 31 Mar 2017 11:10:29
McCoist was probably telling him how much he was getting paid

6.) 31 Mar 2017 11:21:53
Cee, I think you mean 'tooth'

7.) 31 Mar 2017 15:08:36
To put it mildly neil lennon acts like a complete ned and total moron! Its the same old story with this guy with his feel sorry for me attitude all the time! He should wear the same t-shirt as mario ballotelli used to wear, with the slogan of, "WHY ALWAYS ME"!, on it! He without question brings a good lot of the abuse he gets, on himself and that's not a biased statement in the least! He never has had or never will have, scruples and act with a bit of decorum!

8.) 31 Mar 2017 15:20:25
I think ally asked him if he got fed Refresher Bars as a wean (remember those)

9.) 31 Mar 2017 14:46:43
I actually passed lennon in glasgow city centre the other day. Suffice to say the autograph book and pen stayed under lock and key. From look of those with him his whole family are ginger.

22 Mar 2017 10:51:16
What about Allan McGregor at the end of the season. He is on loan at Cardiff or Swansea from Hull. Was a very good keeper and if the knee is ok he could do us a turn.
Thoughts guys?

1.) 22 Mar 2017 11:10:17
Aye if he's willing to pay in. I wouldn't let him anywhere near ibrox.

2.) 22 Mar 2017 11:19:01
Jaws

Totally agree mate this deserter should not be allowed anywhere near Ibrox again. He showed his true colours when he jumped ship.

3.) 22 Mar 2017 15:37:21
oh please do shut up you are like petulant children honestly.

the guy is a deserter because he didn't want to play in the lower leagues?

naw mate i am rangers through and through but i would have left aswell after spending my whole life trying my hardest to play at the highest level in the game just to lose my best years toiling in the lower leagues of scottish football for a quarter of the pay i was on, no chance.
i would have liked it if we could have got money for them but the truth of the matter is we would never have seen a penny of that anyways so holds no baring.

4.) 22 Mar 2017 15:45:33
Fair play lads ill take that as a no then

5.) 22 Mar 2017 15:44:00
Allan mcgregor, kyle lafferty, stevie naismith, steven whittaker and co made their bed and sure as hell can lie in it! Don't want any of these anywhere near glasgow rangers, ever again!

6.) 22 Mar 2017 15:51:34
Behave, he shouldn't be signed because he's 35 and foderingham is a good keeper. If Mcgregor was in his prime we would be lucky to have him.

7.) 22 Mar 2017 17:17:43
I would take naismith any day. Take the club that we all love out the equation and put yourself in a normal workplace then make Charlie green, Mike Ashley, Craig white and Stockbridge your gaffer's who'd stay then, me I'd probably be doing time for them right now. At the time I was pissed off with them but their careers are short dropping down and putting up with the dodgy dealings and under handedness that went on you can't blame anyone it doesn't matter what we think they were the ones who had to work there. We can support take pride in the achievements and as much as we feel we won this and that realistically we are bystanders that cheer on and the players are the winners they give us leagues and cups which we take credit for so we should cut them sone slack when it goes Tits up due to financial irregularities and bad management and not the bad form of those players who had played their hearts out gave us league titles when we couldn't afford to buy any new players and had a first team squad of 14 they boys produced. Supercooper 11 like you I supported the last management even when it hurt me and I knew it was gone I supported because I love this club and I believe we stand by our own so those players you don't want back won in my eyes are one of our own unless you have a few league winners medals at home we don't know about it was them not the supporters that won titles and took us to cup finals, the other day you were slagging King off the guy has stabilised our club I believe in him too and not that long ago you were sticking up for him to as I used to agree with most things you said well could agree with those rumours mate as there was some severe wild arsed rubbish in there, but don't turn all negative when we turn it around we will need quality there and if that quality is someone returning embrace it if they are good enough for us.

8.) 22 Mar 2017 17:33:43
James stirling, nobody is saying that allan mcgregor should have been wanting to play for us in the lower leagues! He could have at least stayed and got the club he professes to love (my rectum) a transfer fee, no matter how small a fee it was! They would have still been leaving if they wanted to after all! So my friend i'm also rangers through and through and i would have differed from you if i had the privilege, of playing for glasgow rangers! I would at the very least IF i were to leave at all, wanted to get the club as much of a transfer fee as they could, for me! You james stirling have got a different view on rangers through and through, to me my friend! They deserters couldn't wait to jump from a very special football club, that was very good to them! Try and understand that, will you?

9.) 22 Mar 2017 17:43:09
If the club sold them how much would have walked along with all the investment that Charlie Green drummed up and paid himself

10.) 22 Mar 2017 18:03:47
Well said supercoop.

11.) 22 Mar 2017 20:46:31
I don't hold any grudges against the lads that left. deserters? I disagree, with hindsight I'm sure they probably wish they'd hung about for nominal transfer fees but remember this, any money that came in would've gone to the crooks running our club at the time just like the 21 million we raised in shares and would've disappeared into another black hole.

They were all happy to take huge wage reductions for long enough and helped us win several trophies so I for one hold no grudges.

12.) 22 Mar 2017 19:51:10
Doesn't matter Gary, It's the principal of the thing. Do it the right way, same as guys like Bocanegra, Edu, Goiain etc. These guys behaved impeccably

13.) 22 Mar 2017 23:51:51
The players from that era are now to old for what we need. However with regards to those who say the players worked hard and couldn't be expected to play in lower divisions.

Firstly i give u juventus. Fair enough they went down one division but if a world class player like del piero can compromise there career i sure players from a third rate country can.

Secondly why not tupe over and earns fees 4 club. Obviously in hindsight money for latter would have went to green et al but that wasnt known at time. At end of the day we need to look to the future.

Find new stars rather than look to yesteryear. Take right back for example. Hutton or Whittaker what would they bring now. Up front, lafferty, wasnt great, always likely to be sent off, boyd been there 4 second spell and failed, naismith. Lpved him as a player but would not go near him. His own stupidity lead to injury that started downfall of that season.

14.) 23 Mar 2017 09:00:14
I agree that we should be looking forward to younger hungrier players than those that left us mate.

I just disagree with others that class them as "traitors".

Also with regards to your Juventus comparison, as u say they only went down 1 division and were back fighting for Scudetto's 12 months later. Del Piero, Nedved and Buffon were all in there 30's too so although it was commendable that they stayed, I don't think it is comparable with our situation. I think Parma got put down to Serie C, I'd be interested to hear how many of there assets on the pitch hung about.

15.) 23 Mar 2017 11:50:35
I have had my differences of opinion with super cooper however he is spot on with these players. They did desert the club and showed no loyalty at all. No one knew at the time what was going on at the club and these players could have easily negotiated small transfer fees for them to leave the club. They would have still got their moves and they would have left on good terms. They all chose to jump ship and didn't care if the club survived. The audacity of Naismith to hold a press conference and say the club died how can any Rangers fan forgive that?

Gents on the debate Celtic are so far ahead of us. If you look at facts. Celtic games are worth 12 points. PS if you look at all the other games and teams are not much better than us hence we are 3rd.

With a good manager and a half decent formation on the pitch and working to a style of play that suits what we have we could invest in 7 or 8 decent players and we could mount a challenge. I would like to see signings not loan deals we need to build a permanent foundation.

Build from the back as Souness did build a strong spine of the team and we will be up for challenging Celtic.

If we had beat all the other teams but lost 3 games to Celtic we would be thinking this was significantly better progress.

I don't think that is unrealistic if investment is forthcoming Aberdeen are ok after that we should be able to beat the remainder as the level of consistency under Aberdeen is poor and I include is in that list at present.

I don't believe that we need that many new players maybe three or four although I would like to see us sign Hyndman and possibly even Toral.
What we really need is a top class coaching team since we are already seeing the benefits of Murty over Warburton and Weir.
Playing the wrong players can be as damaging as not having the players as can be seen from results when Halliday was in the team.

2.) 05 Mar 2017 14:02:16
Basically, get a new manager, new style, new formation and nearly a full starting 11 and make sure we build from the back?

3.) 05 Mar 2017 19:41:40
Delusional amd that's coming from a bluenose

4.) 05 Mar 2017 18:37:10
Tomusa what exactly are the benefits of Murty over Warburton. Played 5 lost 2? So one game against Hamilton and its better already.

5.) 05 Mar 2017 21:12:57
TOMUSA you need to read your posts before you press enter!

The only consistent theme you have is negativity but I can't see what you really think should happen to improve the club.

Latest thought is to sign Hyndman and Toral. really? Who are their parent clubs, how much do they earn? If they have the potential that you allude to and that they have shown in a few matches with us then we won't get near them on a permanent deal.

Also, we are already seeing the benefits of Murty over W and W. come off it.2 wins and he's a saviour?

6.) 05 Mar 2017 21:43:55
He is by no means a saviour but his team shows more aggression and more team spirit than we saw from Warburton's sides. Let me be very blunt, I don't care how we win so long as we win and I don't give a blue damn about the opposition.

I want to see Rangers back where we belong, at the top of the league. How we get there I don't really care!

7.) 06 Mar 2017 00:02:25
Well said, Tom.

Funny banter at Ibrox
Gents I remember sitting in the CR stand way back when Souness had just taken over and this match was not going very well and Souness was having a bad match and the guy next to me shouted out Ho Souness your no a patch on Cammy Fraser
You no going to cut it in Scotland
Made me chuckle what a class player GS was.

Will Scotland ever produce a player of his level again? We are struggling to produce decent players as it is. Hopefu;ly there are a couple of gems coming through.

24 Oct 2016 01:35:41
Anyone else think that there is a lack of attachment between the manager and the fans?
I am not feeling the connection as we had with Walter or big Alex. Rangers feel like a experiment for MW to test his football philosophy. Multiple interviews we will learn and move on. We are not learning the standard of players is never going to learn.
We paid bargain basements prices and got what we paid for.
Not all the managers fault DK need to step up and play with some real cash and tones of it.

1.) 24 Oct 2016 05:37:06
Totally agree with you 11if the best with DK he has to spend some money it's the only way we can even think about challenging them.

Colshy do we not normally wish players who have tried their best for Rangers and young lads trying to make it in the world of football good luck and our best wishes.
If the lad came back surely we would wish him good luck
Lets not forget the Rangers way.
Lets show a bit of class and up our game. Let the others slate every one and remain obsessed by all things Rangers

Guys I have worked with asbestos and it can stay in place and be coated with a special rubber paint
Its only dangerous when its broken and gives off dust particles.
We boxed in an old asbestos garage roof last summer without any problems as we did not disturb the sheets.

Gents this has been an interesting conversation maybe it reflects society in Scotland today. Me and a few of my mates took a trial for the Accies way back in 1983 unfortunately non of us made it but we played till mid 30s. now coaching my boys team and it feels great to give something back to a game I love. We have a couple of kids that I would love the Rangers to look at but who know what the scouting system is like at Ibrox
I feel like drinking two of our kids down and asking rangers to take a look.

Vote4Pedro that time you are referring to on the ask parks and the broken bottles produced some of the best Scottish talent in the last 50 years. No one plays football anymore other than arrange games with boys clubs etc.

We used to meet up every Sunday at 1.00, 20 lads jumper down and off we went. During the week we were out every night with a ball practicing our skills. The hunger has gone. The mental boys no longer have the football genius.

Now they just appear disruptive and badly behaved and lack the skills. I run a team of kids under 10s we have outstanding kids in a team of 20.

Surprise Surprise the 4 in question are from a council estate and have ability desire skill and hunger to succeed. They do take a ball out on the streets most nights. The some of the kids from more affluent backgrounds don't practice, moan constantly and mess about at training and are being constantly asked to listen.

I would have thought this would be fairly typical of modern society and a mixture of kids. Back when I was at the boys club the coaches would have gave you a shouting or a clip round the lug and told to pay attention.

Used to meet Davie Cooper in the Avonbridge hotel in Hamilton with my big mate. Singed our cup final tickets when he was in with Jimmy Nic. He also came to my old Primary School in Hamilton and gave us some football skills session and gave us all a Rangers lapel badge.

True gentleman and my hero.
You only see this type of genius rarely. That free kick against Aberdeen quality. Bandy legs did not get near it even on the way out.
I am sure god will be playing DC wide left in the heavens 11.

Unfortunately they don't possess class and humility it's not in their breeding. Still a struggle for them to cope with the fact Rangers are still alive. Soon be mounting a sustained challenge and shortly after that we will be added no 55 to the list.
Rangers Rangers Rangers its all about Rangers. Simply The Best.
