Is a DoF absolutely necessary? More money down the swanny!
How about Big Eck as interim manager with Frank de Boer as DoF until end of season, with a view to have de Boer assuming full control as manager, and doing away with the DoF roll altogether!?

A DoF will allow us to start work on a scouting network which we don't have! This in turn will allow management of the signing of players. In doing it this way it will not impact on the mangers job to sort out the team which is big enough without having to deal with recruitment also.

Perhaps if we ever get ourselves sorted out the need for a DoF will go. However for me it needs to be a serious consideration due to our current position.

Just seen the highlights Vs Peterhead game, Dodoo should have scored about 6! Delighted for him that he eventually scored!

P. s MW, what were you thinking asking your team to take long corners directly into the box? 😂 It lead to 2 goals! OMG! 😂😂
More of this please, and put a stop to the short corners business, or mix it up a bit, maybe every 4th corner try a short 1!? It was getting too predictable, and half the time the ball wasn't even reaching the box, it would end up in our own half! Rant over! !

and our centre half scored with header.

2.) 11 Aug 2016 22:11:05
The short corners absolutely turned my stomach may look cute but never came to anything, with the dead ball strikers we have in the team it's got to happen, warbs definitely knows a young player excited now just wait till theve bedded in can't wait.

3.) 12 Aug 2016 08:17:10
the low corner into the box seem to work most of the time.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 21:49:43
Our centre half scored a header. It's a pity he can't win one in his own box lol.

Not overly impressed by today's performance, but will gladly take the points, cup game or not. Defence is a major worry, and will definately need strengthening. (Have we not learned from last year? )
We have stepped up a league now, and will be found wanting, against stronger teams, who, unlike Motherwell, will probably finish their chances.
I love MW, but at times today it was as if McCoist mk II was in charge of tactics. I like the passing game we've become accustomed to, but come on, let's have a shot at goal from time to time instead of trying to walk the ball into the net!?
And the short corners are not working either, we should vary them a bit, let's get the ball into the danger area direct from the corner quadrant from time to time, they are far too easy to defend taking them short all the time.
I trust MW, and think we'll come good this year, but get frustrated at times when we over play things!
Sorry Bears, rant over!
What's other people's thoughts on these matters?

You mean shot on goal like the two crackers we scored today?

2.) 17 Jul 2016 07:19:05
It is still a worry with that defence. Keirnan was all over the place and his passing was awful. Tav caught too many times again, more so in the 1st 15/ 20 mins. However what i will say is that its only the 2nd game, this cup will be treated as pre season and there will be rotation and just trying to get the boys fit before the start of the league. I think come 6th August if the defence are still all over the camp then it will be a big worry. Niko though. different gravy.

3.) 17 Jul 2016 08:58:05
One pre season match played it's the middle of July I thought we did ok. The defence gets a lot of crap but we play so far up the park they will be exposed but as with the old firm game when we play better sides the rest of the team do cover the two centre backs did nothing wrong, yet people want to talk of frailties rather than positives. As for Mackay I think the wee guy is outstanding when people are knocking is performance at this stage of the season remember his age, remember before Warburton came in mccoist would have sold him the boy never got a chance as his football style was too far out the box from mccoists way of playing, playing with the likes of Barton and Kranjcar will accelerate his development, but there are so many voices that know better than the gaffer give murdoch a game because even though the gaffer will see him in training know him personally people who seen him in a couple of games read his name in the paper or on the Internet know better, I would love to see the boy make it but we don't know what it is, his attitude may be bad or he isn't as good as the guys who start, plus from what we seen of windass and Kranjcar yesterday murdoch will have a long way to go from the last time I seen him in a 1-1 midweek game at livi. Personally I can't wait until the next game.

4.) 17 Jul 2016 09:36:46
agree with sheppy1690, defenders did not operate as a cohesive unit and lucky not to get punished early doors but considering none of the new signings started the game we can only get better.

5.) 17 Jul 2016 09:59:01
We knew what to expect with Wilson and keirnan, but the full backs can't defend either, but the attack was really great 2nd half, NOH is also a star in the making

Cee
Give me Nicky Law over Zelalem any day!
He's come on leaps and bounds since Warbs took over, (when given his chance)
The pace and tenacity of the Scottish game simply do not suit his style of play. Really don't know what Warbs sees in him to be honest!?

321Ron

1.) 02 Feb 2016 13:11:27
Don't know what you see in nicky law very below average player wouldn't get a game at hibs or falkirk.

2.) 02 Feb 2016 15:35:10
Law is a good player Cee, he is what wee need in our team, a bit of bite and can get about, let's the footballers play football, a think law holt and halliday is a good solid fighting midfield and they can all pass a ball as well!

3.) 02 Feb 2016 18:42:17
Cee

Totally right mate he is rotten and shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

Money talks JD!
He's obviously money driven, with zilch ambition to win trophies! Barton would have had offers from other clubs offering higher wages, I salute the man!

Balotelli?
Over rated trouble maker, MW would defo not be signing the likes of him, free transfer, loan deal or otherwise!

onlyshow, I posted that on here last week, that MW was at the Euros reviewing games as part of his coaching badges.
He's a busy man, he's been quiet for a reason!

Union Jack, I do get what you are saying, all I'm saying is it's not exactly ideal that they haven't met as yet.
We are still running at a loss, so it will be DK's money that is being spent on new signings, as I don't know of/ haven't heard of other investment being pumped into Ibrox.
Settle petal, we'r on the same side! 👍🏻

Bongo, I'm not new here, been on for a few years, not posted for a while though.
I was simply raising a point, I'm not here to bicker, just want our club to be successful again and for that, we all need to pull in the same direction!

Union Jack, the issue I am raising is, if PC and DK have not already met before now, I think it's a poor show all round and sorry to say, but a sad reflection on the way our club is being run.
DK will surely have to put his hand in his pocket during the next transfer window and splash some cash on a few much needed reinforcements.
Would you trust someone you have never met to spend your money? (granted, they will - as you informed us - meet NEXT WEEK, I was referring to the more 'here and now' and not met up, as yet)

Bongo, are you bongoed?
New manager has not yet met the chairman? Bluddy hell mate, I really hope you're wrong there!?
Surely to God they have met, if you were chairman of a team, would you not like to meet the guy who you were trusting in to be in charge of matters on the pitch!?
I know I certainly!

Maybe a good shout, but wasn't Wotte not complaining about the development of young Scottish players and the lack of talent breaking through? Hence him leaving his post with SFA?
Now, I'm not saying there's a lack of young talent at Murray park/ Ibrox, but over recent years they've been struggling to break through, or simply not given a chance, so I doubt he'd want the gig!
