A friend of mines who works at Rangers said we are interested in midfielder Ryan Stevenson from Hearts.

1.) Agreed a deal to end his contract with hearts

2.) Ryan stevvnson was not good enough for hearts why should we bring him to ibrox

31 year old Madjid Bougherra maybe returning to Rangers in the summer.

He was quoted recently saying he would play for Rangers for free.

Out of contract players who may interest McCoist are Carlos Cuellar, Don Cowie, Ryan Giggs, Murray Davidson, Jamie Hamill, James McFadden, Kris Boyd, Shaun Hutchinson, Gavin Gunning, Chris Eagles, Gary O'Neil and Chris Burke

So Giggsy might be teaming up at Ibrox next season with Darren Fletcher and Macheda recent rumours here are actually true?

Seriously though, Giggsy is at the kind of age now that Ally seems to like best so maybe he is interested lol.

But seriously, of the names mentioned Boyd and Hutchison I've heard mentioned before and are possibilities (if we sign anyone at all that is) I've also heard of Gunning mentioned too although I'm not sure who that is.

6.) Thommo72. I mean he's used to running with the ball, beating players not running 60 yards to catch up with it.

BBC have said that rangers have decided against signing Kris Boyd.

I think this is a terrible decision as he would of gotten more goals than Miller.

Boyd should have been signed before Miller!

mccoist is clueless boyd or miller boyd should have been signed first without a doubt if this is true and hearts end up getting him then mccoist has got a lot to answer for boyds goals will win them the championship

Oh my god the man got it in the neck for signing a 30 something player in miller and not giving youth a chance & now he's getting for NOT signing a 30 year old player unbelievable.

4.) Lol I'm no fan of Ally the manager and must be coming down with something because I have to agree with r. f.

I've said it before over a season Boyd will score more goals than Miller but against Celtic Boyd has scored once for us whilst Miller has scored 13.

I'm very much in favour of youth but if we had to get one of the two on balance I think McCoist has picked the correct one.

9.) I can see how Ally is in a no win situation with Kris Boyd re age-wise, but let's face it, it looks like he will probably play Miller & Daly up front. So if you want a less than mobile CF at least have one who you know will get 25-30 goals which Boyd would almost certainly get in the Championship. I too must be mellowing with regards to Ally, but more likely have decided he ain't going anywhere so I'll just wait till it's so blindingly obvious (if it's not already) that he is out his depth and will have an attack of conscience and resign (hey, it could happen). Still not re-newing while he is there though.

10.) I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. He would bring goals though. Would much rather trim the squad and get rid of dead wood before recruiting, if poss. How many did Clark score for QOS? 35-40? surely a run of games would do him good. wishful thinking?

doesnt matter bout celtic forget about them will be long time before we are ready to chalenge them boyd should have been signed before miller in a heart beat boyd and clark up front could be a good partnership not forget bout barrie mackay aswel if clark doesn't perform instead of millier who is gona get slower as he gets older makes more sence
