Robin van persie's names doing the rounds, don't no if he'd just come and play when he can b bothered, can't b taken that sort of chance on players like these! Bradshaw for me!

Colin macdonald

1.) 09 Jul 2016 22:52:51
RVP or Bradshaw

RVP ANY DAY.

2.) 09 Jul 2016 23:14:02
Heard this myself and when I thought about it it don't sound as silly as people may first think. We all know he was set to join us back in 2000 and said himself he had his heart set on it and fell through at the end so he may want to put that right now. then iv seen he is unhappy at fenerbahce and wants to leave turkey and boro are said to be interested and it's said he is open to a huge wage cut so wages may be negotiable and I seem to remember few weeks ago there were Roumers around we were looking at a fenerbahce player this one could be possible and he fits with what warbs said about the media haveing not dug him up yet.

3.) 09 Jul 2016 23:24:19
250k a week at fenerbahce, to i duno, 10-20k max with us. Can't see that happening lol.

4.) 09 Jul 2016 23:32:18
Come on mate, Van Persie is on 250k a week. Where did you hear that? No way it's true. Wish it was mind.

5.) 09 Jul 2016 23:57:14
Cant afford mariappa's wages but ye think would could afford van persie's lol.

6.) 10 Jul 2016 01:32:24
Come guys get real here wait until the magic hat signs someone then we can criticise or support our team WE ARE GLASGOW RANGERS.

7.) 10 Jul 2016 03:40:07
no point to a rumour site if we just wait.

8.) 10 Jul 2016 10:40:15
Think there are a few tr4lls on here or perhaps the same one pretending to be different people, I think Cummings is more likely to go to the dark side with his past indiscretions.

9.) 10 Jul 2016 11:05:56
I'm not saying for a second that he would sign. Although he did almost sign for rangers until arsenal hijacked the deal. Maybe there's some unfinished business for him.

10.) 10 Jul 2016 14:26:19
Unfinished business lol seriously . We must have thousands with unfinished business going by your theory!

11.) 09 Jul 2016 23:17:30
Don't listen to it its ridiculous twitter rumours where we all know van persie has absolutely no chance of happening.

12.) 10 Jul 2016 18:43:26
Caw, who said we couldn't afford marriapa wage? Maybe the guy wasn't worth it, some players will only come to Scotland if they're paid far more than they are worth ie, Keane, Flo, and many others, in any case RVP is a far bigger player than marriapa, people will pay to see him far more than a no mark defender.

12 Jun 2016 13:38:22
Right where do I start. first things first, Mark warburton and davie weir has turned our club around BIG time over the past 8 months, credit to them both, secondly, Dave King and co has done an equally great job, woke up this morning to Mark warburton has knocked back a new contract? Ok, maybe he just the press with they're second guessing, but here's hoping this isn't true, but here's the thing, do you think if this is true? It could be a case of Dave King not being happy with us losing the cup final, and thinking, maybe we'll need to see how this year pans out before we commit? Just a suggestion lads/ ladetts what do uz think?

Colin macdonald

1.) 12 Jun 2016 13:51:18
I wouldn't offer MW a new contact till we see how this season pans out. All we achieved last season is what was expected of us. yes we did it in style which was also great. I hope things can continue going the way they have been since arrival of DW and MW though and I'm certain they will.

2.) 12 Jun 2016 13:51:25
No way. Board will be desperate to keep him. If true it will be coming from Warbs. But don't think it's any great cause for panic. We've got to be realistic. I reckon when he signed his dream scenario would be season 1-championship title, season 2-premiership title, season 3-champions league experience- and then he'd be off. He's not a manager who's going to be with us for the long haul I'm afraid. Too ambitious. I just hope A) he's willing to turn down better financial offers for a short while in order to achieve something before he goes, and B) by the time he leaves the foundations laid re youth setup, scouting, one club philosophy, club culture, are built to last.

3.) 12 Jun 2016 14:20:31
The gaffers still got another 2 yrs, he might go after his contract is done.

4.) 12 Jun 2016 14:19:54
Have to disagree about waiting to see, ok we were always going to win the championship, but Warbs has a vision, he has implemented quality and effective football and is attracting well known players to the club as well as promising youngsters.

5.) 12 Jun 2016 15:00:31
Joscro. All of what you've said rings very true.

That's why the stories start to get a little boring I suppose.

Could kind of see this story coming. Media have their allegiances but don't realise when they spew these stories it just makes the fan base even more stronger and more determined if that's possible for the new season.

6.) 12 Jun 2016 15:31:52
I agree Warbs has done well this year but he would been sacked if we didn't go up, so really nothing has changed! He has done what was expected! I have.

7.) 12 Jun 2016 16:31:59
In my opinion nothing is different. He has two years to run and as Egilostenstad said, he was probably never going to extend it. I'm pretty surprised DK offered an extension after the cup final mess when MW was on holiday and unsurprising is he rejected it. What is important is that he stays until the job is done, leaving before then would be criminal and all good work would be lost!

8.) 12 Jun 2016 16:38:23
To be honest the total radio silence from Warbs since cup final is a little strange.

Not saying that this story is true but Stuart Davidson did come out and confirm that we were in talks with the manager recently and we haven't heard anything since.

I feel like he should have waited until it was signed and sealed before talking about news deals if there was a chance it might not go through.

Like I said. Not saying that this story is accurate but I get the old 'No smoke without fire' feeling on this one.

9.) 12 Jun 2016 17:13:15
Agreed the Campbell. Now t-8 till preseason is fully underway with no Defenders in! This speculation will do us no good in attracting permanent signings.

10.) 12 Jun 2016 17:55:23
I cant' see what all the fuss is about.

Firstly OP the Scottish Cup was never factored into the planning process and was a total bonus.

Secondly, as someone said, wait to see what pans out and take it from there, if he does a good job then he will be given a contract offer, if he doesn't (but he will) then we dodged a bullet.

Things are in better shape on and off the field than previous years and we have a reasonable chance at success next season.

11.) 12 Jun 2016 19:07:07
Just catching up on this, can someone confirm:

1. MW on 3 year deal with 2 years remaining
2. A few weeks back his salary was significantly increased
3. Assume recent salary increase did not change 2 years remaining on contract?
4. We are now having discussions about extending contract beyond 2 reaming years?

12.) 12 Jun 2016 19:24:59
MW not back hols yet, would he let an agent release news on contract discussions?
Would he risk not attracting new players by admitting uncertainly regarding his contract?

13.) 12 Jun 2016 15:02:44
Haha, took you long enough to win it, please beat Celtic this year, can't stand them.

14.) 12 Jun 2016 15:28:22
Dont imagine he would have the power to sack long service staff and rearrange backroom team i'd he himself was leaving, although I have an inkling Derek McInnes is a certain future gaffer, good manager and big fan.

15.) 13 Jun 2016 11:40:26
if warburton left i'd actually cry, I think the guy is the best thing since sliced bread (pun intended)

I think he has a three year plan with us and he will be off after he sees out his three year plan.

and after that time I agree mcinnes is a great manager what he has accomplished with basically no money is great with the sheep and he would be a good replacement as someone else who has the philosophy of playing nice football.

31 May 2016 16:54:34
Only a rumour till the stories actually broke, but I've been told off of a really reliable source, that Dom ball has signed a 2 year contract, I'm saying reliable, but reliable to me, lol but they've asured me it's a done deal, let's hope this is true, what a player that guy is, welcome home Dom ball.

Colin macdonald

1.) 31 May 2016 17:44:27
If Dom ball was to sign it will be at least 4 yr deal, so let's wait and see if your source is correct.

2.) 31 May 2016 17:57:37
Hope so we really missed him in the final,

3.) 31 May 2016 19:00:04
Hope this is true but cant see if due to the fact you said 2 year deal he has a fantastic future ahead and I'm sure he is still contracted to Spurs so have we met a transfer fee agreement? And if so how much?

4.) 31 May 2016 19:52:10
According to Transfermarkt he is under contract at Spurs until 30th June 2016. Have they made him an offer to extend his contract?

5.) 31 May 2016 20:00:17
I genuinely think he will be back next year but this is just optimistic speculation to put it kindly.

6.) 31 May 2016 21:46:57
I don't get this with Dom Ball. Our centre halves were hopeless this season and he still couldn't get a game. He's slower than Danny Wilson and I've not seen him having a good game. I also don't think Warbs rates him. It's a non starter.

7.) 31 May 2016 19:31:54
2 year deal not 4 his source is right so unlucky haha.

8.) 31 May 2016 20:49:59
Barrie mckays new contract is only 2 years due to his age, so could be, I know MW said it's all about making sure players are motivated to earn better contracts.

9.) 01 Jun 2016 09:50:27
Wull63 are u smoking the waky baky, u never seen Dom Ball play a good game, right yar mate! clearly u either never watch rangers last year or your a tim or your on another planet!

10.) 01 Jun 2016 09:50:27
Wull63 are u smoking the waky baky, u never seen Dom Ball play a good game, right yar mate! clearly u either never watch rangers last year or your a tim or your on another planet!

11.) 01 Jun 2016 03:41:25
We seem to be believing all our players from last season are brilliant. ? And even ones who played here fir 10 mins like Weiss and bouggie are world class, none of them played for major clubs, how are they all great all of a sudden. ? And Ball is very ordinary
Tommy.

12.) 01 Jun 2016 12:23:44
look at what I said, he couldn't displace Wilson who has no pace and Kiernan whose a bomb scare. I don't like having a go at honest pros but that's the facts.
Warbs just didn't rate him hence hardly played him. He won't be anywhere near Ibrox again.

15 Jan 2016 09:00:14
O'halloran deal is done, mark my words, it's sealed! Wasn't too bothered really, but he's 25 years of age, and he's fast, not really prolific though, but hopefully playing with us and the way we play, he'll excel, saw him playing against Celtic a few weeks back, and if he was a better finisher, st Johnston would've been up at least 2-0 by half time, but these things happen, he'll b a great addition to the squad, that's for sure.

Colin macdonald

1.) 15 Jan 2016 09:53:42
Not until they lower there valuation yes he
Could do a job for us but he ain't worth what
They R wanting.

2.) 15 Jan 2016 09:56:07
Where are you getting this from? hope its true any wise insights to the big fella diagouraga?

3.) 15 Jan 2016 10:10:58
So colin in should be on sky sports anytime.

4.) 15 Jan 2016 10:39:59
I heard the same last night but I didn't believe it as st Johnstone have supposedly accepted a bid of £500k plus add ons which I thought was quite excessive.

5.) 15 Jan 2016 12:19:49
Not seeing any evidence anywhere of this deal, I hope this isn't true, as I did yesterday I didn't think he was a player we need, yes he has bags of pace, good for a counter attacking team, we are not one of these teams, most teams in our league park the bus this meaning that his pace is null in void really.

6.) 15 Jan 2016 13:19:23
Am I the only one that doesn't think he's good enough, plus he's a winger which we have plenty just now, we could do with a number 9,but they cost money and I don't know if we have any just now.

7.) 15 Jan 2016 16:12:29
No delboy, I agree with you 100%, he's not good enough.

8.) 15 Jan 2016 18:52:24
To be honest guys from what I have heard MW has being sounding out the player on and off the field and if he thinks he can move the player on to the next level its all down to the coaching staff at Murray park and if he joins I think our boys will make him a stand out just like they have done with all the boys in the team.

9.) 15 Jan 2016 19:25:53
Little blue bear, I've been saying what you've just said for 3 months now and I posted this on here mate, o'halloran is from moodiesburn and I know someone close to the family who told me this easily around 3 months ago.

02 Sep 2015 11:53:38
Ed did we sign a striker released from Burnley last night?? A lot of rumour saying we did, but I can't c it anywhere.

Colin macdonald

{Ed001's Note - he has not signed anywhere yet.}

1.) 02 Sep 2015 13:34:36
Colin if he was released by burnley surely he can sign at any time mate,as he is not contracted elsewhere.

morning bears, gutted once again with a poor show and also our on going of poor results, at first I thought it was down to bad luck, but its just down to plain and simple stuff, we're just not good enough, yeah he's a great man plus decent manager, but we're struggling to beat far weaker opposition than us, week in week out, its a baby step forward, and 3 adult steps backwards, with every game we play, nobody can see light at the end of tunnel, my expectations aren't to high, but any rangers team no matter what state we're in, should be beating Hamilton ross county and st Johnston at ibrox, its as simple as that, yeah there's no money, yeah we brought in 11 players at the start of the season, but the results haven't been good enough, and we can sit here and analyses everything, but the buck stops at the managers office, and I say all this with a heavy heart, but we need this all fixed as soon as possible, so we can salvage this poor start to our season.

Colin macdonald

1.) 27 Oct 2016 13:52:41
its exactly that mate a poor start to a season and for everything warbs has done for us last year he deserves the chance to turn a bad start into a good season and I fro one believe we will get it together and we will be second this season.

ifr warbs goes we go back not just three "adult" steps but a whole year wasted and youth work that warbs has introduced goes down the swanny I for one don't want that and think it would be to the detriment of our club if he left.

2.) 27 Oct 2016 16:08:28
What youth work. he's also only teaching the youth one way to play 4-3-3 so what happens we get a good crop in say 5 years and he is no longer the manager, these kids then have to try and fit into a system which is alien to them in first team and holds back there development! Younger players should be learning different formations to learn the game I guess they didn't teach him that in the city.

24 Oct 2016 16:00:33
hello boys/ girls, the dust has settled after yesterdays game and poor result, but let's be realistic here, Celtics defender cost more than our whole team put together, 7 weeks ago we got ripped apart 5-1. now 7 weeks on from that, we went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat, we showed great team spirit and competed all over the park till the final whistle, so hats off to MW and DW and the players for showing that they have that fighting spirit about them, the last 10 minutes where hard to watch right enough, the goal was coming, but we move on now, looking forward to Wednesday night, and Saturday, heres hoping we gain 6 points from them 2 games, we're playing better football now, and there's a long way to go, so let's take the positives from yesterdays game and take this into the end of season.

Colin macdonald

1.) 24 Oct 2016 17:07:41
The guys did try il give them that but imo it is criminal and inexcusable how unfit some are I know we have a few young guys who in my experience tend to waste energy opposed to older pros who know when to conserve abit but this isn't even half way through season we aren't burning boys out by playing european matches! For me that is the hardest thing to take as a super fit team is hardest to beat.

2.) 24 Oct 2016 22:23:08
Did you actually watch the game? They controlled the game from start to finish and could easily have scored 5 or 6. They are far superior in every department and how many of our players would get in their team? We were fortunate not to get another hiding and can anyone honestly say they are confident taking anything off them this season.

3.) 25 Oct 2016 00:51:42
We still got ripped apart and Gilks saved us from another embarrassing score line. We played for most of the match with ten men since McKay did absolutely nothing for the entire time he was on the park. What is more, we don't have a captain, Wallace is not a leader and never will be and in this league he is being found out as no more than a mediocre defender.

We are well behind Celtic and possibly Hearts and Aberdeen as well. We need remedial surgery and it won't happen without some serious investment. If King is unwilling or unable to do so then he needs to find someone that can.

21 Oct 2016 07:04:05
Just read in the sun kranjcar out for the rest of the season? A hope not! Can anybody on here clarify that? Cause I can't seem to see it anywhere else apart from the sun, so our bad luck this season continues. if this is true.

Colin macdonald

1.) 21 Oct 2016 07:43:55
Just read this myself Colin. Shocking news and a big blow to us without question. What rotten luck for both niko kranjcar and the club as he was reaching full fitness and starting to look the terrifically gifted footballer he undoubtedly is. The sun will have this story regarding his serious injury spot on unfortunately.

2.) 21 Oct 2016 07:52:44
Absolutely gutting brings a lot of creativity to the team.

3.) 21 Oct 2016 08:51:47
Noooo. We've got absolutely no luck at the moment. Hopefully the Sun is just blowing this out of proportion and it's not his cruciate. Fingers crossed its a lesser injury. Get well soon big man.

On another note, what are we doing wrong in training that so many have been sidelined in training ground incidents since the start of the season? Or is it just bad luck?

4.) 21 Oct 2016 09:35:06
coudlny a predicted this, with kranjar we could of competed.

our two highest earners out of the team.

would this money of been better off invested in youth?

hello hello.

5.) 21 Oct 2016 10:23:37
The only luck we've had this season with injuries is nae luck. what a blow this is feel so sorry for the guy. Hope the team go out and do it for him on sun.

6.) 21 Oct 2016 14:13:21
BlueBloodGerz. The money would have most certainly been better spent on youth. But then again the guys on here would have moaned we hadn't spent it on 'Big players'

7.) 21 Oct 2016 14:03:29
Yes, what is it with training?
Must be some kick Wilson took if he's maybe missing again on Sun, never known a team like us to take knocks in training and miss not 1 but 2 games.

8.) 21 Oct 2016 14:04:35
This is a huge blow, confirmed also in the Scotsman this morning. Just as Kranjcar was finding fitness and form. Anyway, here's a chance for others to step up. I'd favoured Kranjcar to start on Sunday but now who will play? I still think Holt and Halliday in midfield but who fills the creative void? If fit, surely Rossiter and Windass should start against Celtic?

9.) 21 Oct 2016 14:27:16
I think this is the best thing to happen to us purely in relation to the Celtic game as there was a huge decision to be made whether to play him but he is actually too slow and not able for the pace or the mentality of this type of match

Windass has shown last game he is exactly the type for this match

Sad for Niko happy we now might have by default our perfect 11 excepting Wilson out in defence but people should realise that Kiernan was excellent in the last Cup semi not the best defender but he is a Ranger we should support him

Fod

Tav Hill Kiernan Wallace

Halliday

Holt Windass

McKay

Dodoo Miller

Would like MOH in side but he seems out of favour at moment

2-1 us if we fight like last cup semi

3-2 to them if we don't.

10.) 21 Oct 2016 15:22:12
I doubt it's anything to do with training. We were extremely fortunate last yeah with a small squad as we had very few injuries. Just bad luck by the sound of it. Hopefully not as bad as it first appears.

11.) 21 Oct 2016 15:06:06
Ive said repeatedly said that we made a massive mistake in summer.

Instead of spreading our money on 11 players we should have been working to a 2-3 season plan. This plan should have been to add young players of real quality piece by piece to build a team.

In the summer we should have spent the little money we had on bringing in 1 striker, 1 midfielder and 1 defender all of proper quality to enhance what we had not change it.

Over the following Windows we should have looked to add players that improved the team not beef up the squad.

12.) 21 Oct 2016 19:18:50
I think we have a great young team with loads of potential that we can build on! We have came on miles in last couple of years and if the majority of squad stays together and ws get things progressing off the field then we can challenge celtic in a year or so.

25 Sep 2016 16:08:46
Look, this is going to b 1 long season, things aren't going our way at the moment, the Barton saga, injuries, and today as we all saw, refs, now the refs not to blame for the boys great strike, but he gave him his stage out of nothing, I thought we the better team throughout the game apart from a spell at the start of the second half, I'd let waghorn run down his contact, not good enough, garner looks decent, but still finding his feet, Aberdeen weren't at the races all game today, but they still won, something we can't do, we're either giving teams a goal start every single game, or we're just not performing at all, it's a mixture, 7 th in the league now with 9 points, it's not good enough regardless everything I've said. O'halloran isn't going to make it in that team with the way we play, josh windass is a sick note, feel for that boy, but a can't give any player that plays well 1 game and out for 4 any credit, am sorry, we need players running through prick walls at our club, and more so now, we haven't got them type of players! It's sad to c.

Colin macdonald

19 Sep 2016 09:02:39
Morning bears/ bearness, so it's another week with another poor result, 6 games in and we sit 5th with 9 points, absolutely terrible position to be in if your Glasgow Rangers, still early doors though, the only thing we keep saying to ourselves to perk us up and move to the next week, we haven't had any luck in games, plus there's a bit of animosity surrounding our club at the moment, in which we need fixed ASAP, is it just me? Or does anybody else think listening to MW after games is becoming tiresome? Last year he was cool calm knew how to play the press, the pressures on and nothing seems to b going his way, u canny half tell by the way he's been talking, when has such a manager ever been happy with a 0-0 with Ross county at ibrox, we need a steady starting 11, and we need to start scoring goals, the team isn't good enough!

Colin macdonald

1.) 19 Sep 2016 10:04:57
MW certainly under pressure, see that Chris Sutton now jumping on the the bandwagon. Agree we need steady starting 11 and clear from the weekend that we need to play at a high tempo. Would urge all bears to support MW and remember where we have been the last 5 years.

2.) 19 Sep 2016 10:28:31
I think we may have found our starting 11, a few tweaks could be done, but I reckon that is it. Rossiter maybe in for Halliday (big Halliday fan but Rossiter is one for the future) and possibly drop McKay for the time being as his form is dreadful. I'd possibly drop Wallace too but it doesn't look good dropping your captain. Other than that yeah I reckon the starting 11 on Saturday is our future starting 11.

3.) 19 Sep 2016 11:00:20
halliday left back and bring rossiter/ Barton in.

Well in the press, the same press that hounded us out of the SPL with the rest of the halfwits jumping onto the HMRC bandwagon, KEEPS STATING how bad it is because ally won't play a team full of youngest, well for the folk out there that knows their football, that's just not possible, especially for a team the size of rangers, so my post was a dig at the folk reading the press, then coming on here saying what the papers r saying, oh y is ally not playing youth, he is, the best young lads up there r getting there chance, and everytime we bring in a new player over the age of 26, it's a case of, aww where's the youngest, let's hound ally!! Geez piece, we want to c the likes of Boyd and miller up there, sells books and tickets, plus they'r both cracking players!! Get aff the youth bandwagon please, it's pathetic, if your good enough your in, end of, naw because your 19 years of age, if your good enough!

And! Who cares? And what's all this, uck that's ally again, not going with youth! Get a life man, go with your best players no matter what age, he can't b that good, if he wants to leave rangers, well bye bye! A real professional footballer, would either get the head down and work harder to get into the team, or go banging on ally's door asking what's happening, end of! Ano it's a rumours webpage, but some folk just don't think before they speak, Glasgow rangers is the best club in the world, and nearly 90% of the fans would play there for nothing, or give there everything just to b involved in such a brilliant club! Get off ally's back with this youth crap, your reading them daft papers too much!

C'mon lads get a grip here, a couple of digs at ally! First, the boy telfer got offered a new deal, he said no, not ally's fault, he'll not get a game with dundee utd, so the boys himself a lost out, he'll regret it, and even if he does get a game, it's not ally's fault, he didn't want to stay with us, so bye, plain and simple as that, the kenny miller signing is total genius, cracking player, great attitude as well, in ally I trust! 🇬🇧

doiger great post mate, your putting things into perspective there, but your looking for a steedy starting 11, which has been Warburton's downfall so far, am with you there mate, steedy starting 11, and hopefully injury free, stick to the same team and give them boys a run of 8 to 10 games, and i'd bet we'll turn this around for the better.

great post snudge, there's too many people jumping the gun, I've been guilty of that myself, but results against leaser opposition every other week just isn't good enough, whos to blame? we've got a manager that fits everything we've been crying out for, but still doesn't know his first starting 11, he chops and changes his team every single week trying to find a formula to get 3 points, that's the worrying thing for me mate.

O'halloran played through the middle when he ripped us up, plus his pace and goal threat means he is a striker or can easily play as a striker, well if uz watched that the other day and thought for one second it was good enough, u r deluded, the usual, plenty of the ball, 20 shots at goal, and score 1? It doesn't add up, and our usual at the back, conceding a goal as per! Wake up, wrong team selection from the start, y where 2 players aloud to b on McKay the WHOLE game? Without MW changing him over, or changing the way we where set up! Don't have the blue tinted glasses on lads/ girls, everybody saw it on Saturday and it ain't good enough!

precious your on saying your bit defending celtic on a rangers webpage, so your on here comparing celtic to rangers lol well you said a good point there about the lower leagues and youse won't be there, true, and we'd never know, but looking at 2 so called bigger clubs fighting it out for a place in final in a so called bigger competition a few weeks back, the self-confessed best fans in the world, we're on the road again lol and all that dung, 17'000 was there, so there's the nailer there big fella. we're happy to follow our club everywhere, we don't need to tell everybody we're the best fans in the world, attendances and facts will point that out for us.

Biffo316, a hope you play football mate or you know the game inside out, every single goal or obviously penalty is some what poor defending, we'd b here all day every day talking about poor defending, but if u live in the real world like we all do pal, I said the first goal was a pen, the second goal was poor defending, and the 3rd goal was a shot from distance that ended up in the back of the net, I typed what I typed, because what I said was there for all to c in black and white, it's obvious poor defending leads to a pen Hahahahahahaha c'mon mate cheer up, if your a bear, u should b happier than what your letting on here mate.
