In my opinion it’s good to see rangers have made the right LOGICAL decision because graham deserves a decent go at it and it’ll also help the players settle known what’s happening so well done the board

Out of the 14 clubs Tony Pulis has managed this is his win ratio
43.52
41.38
36.64
35.88
31.43
30.77
30.30
29.29
28.97

I can’t speak for everyone but as far as I can see it’s just not good enough and he’s not the man for the job and it’ll just show all the more that the board don’t know what they are doing and the sad thing is it won’t change until someone’s in place that actually has some savvy in spoting the right people for the job

It’s not the full 14 but you get the idea

2.) 18 Dec 2017 05:52:59
How can u even look at this mans win percentage and say he’s not good enough His win percentage isn’t that of what we want at rangers but obviously his win percentage in a pish poor Scottish league would be better than the challenge he faced in England he has made small clubs that would be stuck in relegation battles very much safe EPL teams all be it that he plays physical old school tactics the kind of tactics I feel we could go for a cheap option and play the same way with big eck but maybe Tony Pulis could attract a better callibre of player and has a better eye for a player . If he is appointed I’d expect the board to back him with funds straight away .

3.) 18 Dec 2017 07:01:11
Spot on joerfc! Tony pulis has been manager of mostly teams fighting relegation in england! For the record he's kept all of them up! You can't say pulis is not a good manager because his win rate at smaller relegation fighting clubs, is lower than that of managers with bigger clubs at the top end of the table! Some folk just don't think logically! Tony pulis would be a superb appointment as our new manager, if we could get him! For the record if we did get him, his win ratio with us, in this league would easily be in the 60% and above bracket!

4.) 18 Dec 2017 15:41:20
Like I said I can’t speak for everyone it’s just my opinion and super cooper saying some people don’t think logical and referring to myself is a bit personal so pull it in a bit mate

5.) 18 Dec 2017 19:28:13
I agree joel, managing teams at the bottom of the barrell in the epl is all abt survival, up here he’d be the top dog

6.) 18 Dec 2017 19:29:15
Your right, it’s “Not good enough” for our mighty club as we’re challenging for the champions league every year and our league is the jewel in the crown of world football. I’m sure the board can sway Pep away from little Man City though.

Cream bun, don't go in the cream puff here mate! Man up and take it on the chin what i'm saying for god's sake!

8.) 18 Dec 2017 23:16:43
What’s you problem mate don’t be so cheeky ok my opinion is as valid as anyone’s and if someone like yourself wants to be out of order with his words then expect it back otherwise don’t comment. sort yourself out

Aberdeen KO bid from rangers. I want a good manager and not an average one and I don’t think for a minute he could do any better than what murtys done so far so I’m ok with that and I don’t think anyone can honestly say that Murty doesn’t deserve a chance because the teams playing way better after just six weeks. give him another six and watch it only get better

I agree, I guess we’ll never know now how things would panned out under Murty however I will get behind Derek Mcinnes and hopefully he can deliver a better level of consistency. His minimum requirements for me would be:

This season:

1. Clear 2nd this season including a points total above 65pts.
2. Continued development of young players in and around the 1st team.
3. Notable improvements in the players on the level that Murty has got them too.

Next Season:

1. More than 80pts accrued in the league.
2. Decent attempt at qualifying for Europa league. ( I can live with being beaten by teams with superior experience and budget)
3. Good cup runs.

Also moving forward from next season we have to be in Europa League groups minimum.

Don’t think these are unreasonable demands of a manager who has been feted by so many on here for the last 6 weeks!

Got to say I don’t think Alex Rae should be saying Mcinnis is to be the new manager on the strength of his source whether it be right or wrong because whether us as fans agree with it or not it’s not the way the board want it done and it won’t help Mcinnis either

just playing devils advocate here fellow bears but i wonder what would happen IF (big if) murty got another win up there on sun

would we still bring mcinness in as looks odds on if a manager with no experience (murty) beats them twice in back to back games with a so called inferior team?

i’m not saying either murty or mcinness is the clear answer just wondering.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 09:52:27
Trouble is mate we are not an inferior team we have better players and they proved that on Wednesday night! I've said for a while now our players need a real leader at the helm someone to bring them together and get the best out of them!

3.) 01 Dec 2017 10:54:19
I don't think anyone can say we beat Aberdeen so our manager is better than McInnes or McInnes is a bad manager.

The fact is he has done well with the finances he has. Aberdeen are a far better proposition than they were before he arrived. He built a stronger team than us on a far cheaper budget.

Is he the right man? I don't know but I don't think you can write him off due to 2 games.

29 Nov 2017 22:02:27
Ok. can anyone tell me who that was playing against Aberdeen tonight and where the hell They’ve been because that was like night and day. absolutely no excuse from now on because if they can play like that tonight then they can play like that in every game

Was the game tonight well done to team for put in a good performance for a change. hope it’s the same on Sunday but great 3 points

2.) 29 Nov 2017 23:51:38
I missed the game working nights now and i'm gutted I never got see it, I hope the players continue to work together and perform like this, murty is going to be a fantastic manager one day.

3.) 30 Nov 2017 02:44:29
Just wondering what I said that could be disagreed with there? Murty being a fantastic manager one day, i'm pretty sure he will be. From youth coach to first team manager at glasgow rangers twice now and is handling himself well.

4.) 30 Nov 2017 08:40:33
i think some folk just whack a disagree at certain posters sometimes mate regardless of the comment 😂 i gave you an agree there 👍 he is still very young in his managerial career and has lots of potential. the pressure cooker he is in the now will stand him in good stead longer term

Bigmarv I can’t argue with any of that except I think murtys got more going for him than he’s giving credit for
I wasn’t all that keen either with Mcinnis getting the nod and I’m happy it didn’t happen but getting Mcleish it wouldn’t be the worst appointment and by no means a step down in my eyes and first choice or not I think he’d come back to rangers with no dramas at all
