Brighton preparing bid for Tav. Sell or keep?

Dutchy_Rangers_1

1.) 08 Aug 2018 08:14:38
Everyone has their price. I’d be looking at £5m plus.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 08:20:44
Keep of course unless it's a bid that can't be refused

James Tavernier is worth at least 7m
Josh Windass is worth at least 3m.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 08:45:56
5.5 mill plus % of next sell on? that's min i would sell.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 08:59:23
we should ask them if they think he's going to be first choice, if they say yes then you'd have to think a first choice premier league right back would cost 10 million minimum.

id keep him though. he's one of our best players and he clearly loves the club.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 09:02:06
Windass £2m plus 20% sell on clause. Tav £4m would be good business if you consider we have paid half that for Barisic and we could move Flanagan to RB.
I’d keep John for cover at LB and with Hodson away and Wallace more than likely to exit freeing up wages and £2m left over from Tav to get in competition at RB.
Then just need boy from Dynamo Zagreb and i'd still take Lafferty for £400k.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 09:04:28
I prefer to keep him too mate he's our current captain.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 09:04:46
I wouldn't sell him yet as I think he's only getting better. Plus, I love his enthusiasm for the club and that's infectious for new arrivals. I would love to see him lift it at the end of t THIS season.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 09:22:11
Take into consideration that Fullham are willing to play 9 million for a total bomb scare defender in Boyata, Tav is worth at least 10 imo. Hope we don't sell him tho.

9.) 08 Aug 2018 09:29:41
If that mob across the city are getting offered bids of 8 million for Armstrong and 9 million for boayata then we should be looking for the same money for tav.

10.) 08 Aug 2018 09:32:51
I think SG had wind of this hence buys a left back who will be first pick and Flanagan has been solid so he will automatically revert to his favoured position. I think we need to play hard ball with Brighton as they did with Gouldson. No less than 5 million for me. Easy in going rate.

11.) 08 Aug 2018 10:06:37
Lads let not forget how bad a right back Tav actually is. If you play him further forward yes he has great potential but if we're talking simple right back I'd take 3-4 million and run! He's been found out Many a time. Flanagan is a better right back.

12.) 08 Aug 2018 10:13:02
When is window closed in England? Tomorrow? If we sold tav who plays left back if Flanagan goes to the right?

13.) 08 Aug 2018 10:20:44
Barisic, for Maribor game it would be Halliday.

14.) 08 Aug 2018 10:22:13
Thursday night.

15.) 08 Aug 2018 10:25:14
Barasic Mprent.

16.) 08 Aug 2018 10:28:38
Tav - Wouldn't sell for less than £25m, given the current English market. He's our captain. We are Glasgow Rangers. Let's stop this nonsense of being ripped off. Look at what Celtic get for poor players.

I think we should look at £1.3 as very fair for Windass, and I'd take anything upwards of 50p for Fod.

17.) 08 Aug 2018 10:29:34
Barisic or declan john.

18.) 08 Aug 2018 10:41:04
Sorry guys I wasn’t clear. I meant who would play left back tomorrow night as Barasic can’t play. Was assuming John would be off as well.

19.) 08 Aug 2018 11:04:55
This one is an interesting one. Tav is not only our captain, but he’s started the season in rich form and been at the centre of most of our goals in pre season and Euro qualifiers. Still defensive frailties and looks to me like Gerard favours players that can defend first in his back 4. With hodson away, Wallace awol I would be concerned about strength of bench for cover in full back and centre half cover should we cash in. North of £6m would seem like good business and the Windass one for £2.5 would offset the current cost of the fees for players we have brought in, so I would hope we would still be looking to bring in a versatile quality left sided centre back and also a quality centre forward as replacements. This is where the EPL transfer window closure will create opportunity for us.

20.) 08 Aug 2018 12:55:55
Tav 25 mil😩, if we get in the region of 5mil we will be doing well👍.

21.) 08 Aug 2018 14:44:25
10 MILLION NO LESS. ARMSTRONG 7 MILLION REALLY. AND YOUD TAKE 5 FOR TAV. ENGLAND ARE PAYING 10 MILL FOR ANYBODY RIGHT NOW. TAV GOOD GOING FORWARD GOOD AT FREE KICKS GOOD CROSSING AND HE IS ENGLISH. (ENGLISH CLUBS LOVE THAT) IF WE DO WELL THIS YEAR OUR PLAYER VALUES WILL ROCKET. KEEP THE FAITH.

22.) 08 Aug 2018 16:10:31
"Good going forward", he's a defender! You've just burst your own argument. What you have to realise is that armstrong is an international with champions league experience. Tav has neither and gets caught out defensively often. This is he is not worth 25 mil or 10mil👍.

Jim stewart, gk coach is sacked.

Dutchy_Rangers_1

1.) 15 Mar 2017 07:17:02
Due to international obligations reportedly.

2.) 15 Mar 2017 07:42:51
Not too happy with that move, he's a good gk coach. But need to trust the new managers decisions.

3.) 15 Mar 2017 08:21:17
Sad to see him go but this is what happens when a take over in management and every player will no that thay are all starting from scratch a just hope we see more of moh a think he's a cracking player

4.) 15 Mar 2017 08:58:03
Smodge - In have to disagree, his pace is electric but he can't control his feet. There's a reason he's barely had a chance even when were struggling!

5.) 15 Mar 2017 09:25:57
not happy with that move. Jim is first and foremost a great coach with an in depth knowledge not only of rangers, but all our opponents. He is also a Rangers man who has been involved with the club for a long time.

6.) 15 Mar 2017 10:34:24
Jim was set to retire at the end of the season was he not? He's getting an early retirement, i'd be happy with that.

7.) 15 Mar 2017 10:50:41
There was a story last month that he was planning on stepping down anyway. Can't remember where I read it, but Neil Alexander was mentioned as possible successor at the time.

8.) 15 Mar 2017 13:22:18
Davie weir, ally mccoist were rangers men would rather have quality than just being rangers men. Time for a fresh start

9.) 15 Mar 2017 13:47:34
Rfcinfinity michael o'halloran is a crackin player he just never got chance because of a certain some one wich i say good riddance doesn't help when mark liked playin his fav players and rotatin the team like mad and caught up in his own bubble obsessed with the Barcelona style, least moh will get proper chance under pedro cause the way he plays he likes his teams defendin hard to get beat thn he likes the team to press and counter attack bit like jurgen klopp so that's were mikey ohalliran will play because of his sheer pace and power thts were pedro and rangers will counter attack the other teams i have faith in moh but he has to now show why we paid half million for him and also reward us back with good performances instead of pickin up big wages for nothin

10.) 15 Mar 2017 15:04:57
Michael ohalloran had plenty of chances, he's just not good enough to play in our first 11.

11.) 15 Mar 2017 15:46:52
M. O. H. is fast, that is about it. He's had a few chances. Squad player at best.

12.) 15 Mar 2017 17:12:46
How can someone have a chance when 95% of the time he hasn't been picked or on the bench and doesn't get on . he's not had a chance

13.) 15 Mar 2017 17:42:10
I believe he was retiring in the summer, better bedding the new GK coach in with the rest of the staff.

14.) 16 Mar 2017 13:39:37
got to respect the new managers decision though as he wants everything new and he has every right to do so.
all the best to jim and thank you for your service big chap u have been great for us.

15.) 16 Mar 2017 14:41:05
Lets get over big Jim and all this rangers man stuff, pedro was a goalkeeper and already has a loyal goalkeeper coach who he is staying loyal to

16.) 16 Mar 2017 14:52:04
Barry his motivation levels have to be questioned. He has under performed since signing. Hope Pedro gets mire out of him otherwise ta ta MOH

17.) 16 Mar 2017 18:35:05
Let's be honest, MOH has had few opportunities but has been very poor when given the chance! With his pace he should be able to beat players but his technique is so poor he leaves the ball behind and he's so predictable all opponents know what he's going to do so they just block his run! Even one on one with a keeper you don't expect him to hit the target, and he doesn't! A waste of a signing in my honest opinion.

18.) 16 Mar 2017 18:06:20
was Pedro not agoalie?
Hopefully knows what is wanted

19.) 16 Mar 2017 20:03:17
Rfcinfity could he control his feet it st j and why did Wee sign him mibby if he had more games u would see some progress for him but one game hear an there then obv he's going to try to much

20.) 16 Mar 2017 23:05:15
I liked the thought of moh in our attack, I rated him at st Johnstone but I think there play suited him! Quick on the counter but with 10 men in front of him he just runs in a straight line! Very one dimensional, but a clean slate so here's hoping.

21.) 16 Mar 2017 23:27:08
i would like to see MOH played up font through the middle of the park as he was with st johnston he can score goals but need to be played as either a super sub or given proper game time to get on his feet

22.) 16 Mar 2017 23:51:55
Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks MoH has been rotten! When did he last beat a man? McKay is fast, just like MoH but McKay is able to knock the ball past a defender and leave him for dead. When has O'Halloran managed that? I agree with rfcinfinity, he can't control his feet. Headless chicken springs to mind. I'll be happy if he goes back to Perth or elsewhere, and even happier if we get a few quid for him.

23.) 18 Mar 2017 08:50:37
Aye when mckay hasn't got dung running down his leg. embarrassing to watch on Sunday no where near good enough

Forgot to add this in my last post. That has got to be one of, or if not the worst performances I've ever seen. Took us until 62 minutes to have our first shot. i mean come on man?

Greg Docherty getting another assist today and Jamie Murphy Scoring again. Looks like there loans are working out nicely for them.

Who thinks we would have been better off with them and who thinks we don't miss them?

Could we do a poll please?

Dutchy_Rangers_1

{Ed033's Note -

Docherty, Murphy poll

1.) 22 Feb 2020 20:09:58
Believe we should have kept Docherty and would have started in Perth tomorrow.

2.) 23 Feb 2020 09:20:13
Did anybody mention Docherty after the Braga game on Thursday?
No, didn't think so. And there's your answer👍.

16 Feb 2020 16:58:41
Was there a walk out at half time? There looked a lot less fans there second half.

Dutchy_Rangers_1

1.) 16 Feb 2020 17:27:39
It was absolutely freezing there today. Can't really blame anybody who never made it all the way. Was hellish!

2.) 16 Feb 2020 18:19:12
C of ibrox, well done to all that stayed to the end, i got up earlier to go for the paper and decided i wasnt going to the game, i also think if it wasnt for fear of fixture pile up todays game would have been called of, so again well done for braving it out mate,

3.) 16 Feb 2020 19:28:38
Terrible conditions at game today.

4.) 16 Feb 2020 20:04:54
Never been as cold in my life. I was ready for home, my boy wanted to stay, the wean won. Still trying to thaw out.

10 Nov 2019 18:02:16
Thought the whole team played well today, really strong performance deom the CB pairing too. We are starting to look like proper title challengers now being able to slug it out with the livvys etc.

Dutchy_Rangers_1

1.) 10 Nov 2019 20:52:31
Celtic’s bubble will burst, Lennon will snap under pressure as always.

We are so strong, we have a great spine to the team and numbers in depth.

You can’t guess the starting eleven and realistically we have 16 players who could be defined as a starting 11 player.

I just can’t see us losing the league this season, I’m sure this is our season.

2.) 11 Nov 2019 08:54:21
We do have a best 11 is just whether or not it gets picked👍.

3.) 11 Nov 2019 09:41:01
Is that your best 11, or SG's best 11 coldo? 😉.

4.) 11 Nov 2019 10:56:08
Its the only 11 mrgrumpy😉👍.

We haven't beatn bottom of the lge all season. We can't even get a shot off until minute 62 against bottom of the lge.

Sorry a lot of us aren't very confident domestic wise just now. Its came dwn to we are struggling to even hit shots never mind scrape a point.

If the managers names wasnt Gerrard he would be off i think. Gerrards name buys him some time.
