Given the other players we are linked with I think this Weiss story is pure nostalgia. I'd much rather see us find a partner for Alves and a 25 goal a season striker, as the MF is shaping up well.
I might also be in the minority, but I think Barrie would flourish in our new look MF, in a wide area, as there are better players around him, and a lot less pressure on him to be the match winner at 22.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Pedro said he would cost 2.7m and Rangers could not spend that kind of money on one player. Things may have changed since then, or it was possibly just to cool down questions from the press on transfer budget etc. Who knows but there is clearly money to spend this window.

I thought it was a sure thing. He wants to move home to be closer to his family as his children are starting school. The fact the deal has supposedly fallen through means Rangers are not able to match his wage demands.
Some papers have us bidding £2m for players and you are implying we can't pay him a wage of around 15k a week!
i would rather naismith in the team than some unknown foreign player who is a big risk! at least we know what we are getting with him.

Naisey wants to come back and Pedro is very keen to take him back. Wages is no issue as he's putting family first and wants his kids educated back home. Only thing stopping the deal is his club who want a fee, which Rangers won't entertain!
