By going what Pedro was talking about today, it seems our main striker next season will be Garner.
Seems that Pedro is looking at getting more crosses into the box to bring out the best in him.

Ed - how about a poll to see whether fan want Garner to stay or have a new striker.

{Ed033's Note -

Garner Poll

1.) 17 May 2017 04:34:19
I like Garner and hope we stay. He's got balls and can finish would be good as part of a two. So both lol

2.) 17 May 2017 09:01:41
He has the right attitude, decent link up play, wins 99% of headers and will get goals if he gets chances! That's a million miles better than what we have / can attract at this time. Also, I doubt we'd get more than we paid for him so I'd definitely keep him and play him as our main striker next year!

3.) 17 May 2017 09:26:08
Would be really good if people didn't judge Garner on this season. The boy is an Aerial threat, Warburton doesn't do balls in the box. Was a strange purchase, now we have a manager who will utilise Garners strengths.

4.) 17 May 2017 10:14:47
Looks like we are going to get 1 or 2 genuine wingers.

Now that European football has been achieved, there should be more youth players given a chance ahead of next season.
The remaining game are needed to embed a tactic that will work for next season, that being said I liked how he changed formation during the game and went 343.
This shows that he does have a plan B when things are not going well (however we did end the game due to injuries back to a 4231).
If Pedro keeps to a 4231 we need two midfielders who are not easily knocked off the ball and who have good positional sense.
Also need a player who can play behind the front player, personally I think McKay would be great in that role.
Also we can't play Dodoo or Waghorn on wide positions as they are not wingers.
We need wide players to take their man on and get crosses in the box, something we didn't look capable of doing until Kenny stepped up.
My fear is signing players who Pedro knows but they will not be able to adapt to Scottish football.
I look forward to next season, but I have to say that we will not challage for the title (I hope I am wrong) .
Best will be 2nd place with a much closer challenge to them.

1.) 08 May 2017 11:54:02
How can we develop a tactic for next season when we don't have the players for next season? Surely the new players are required first? Yes young players should be given game time.

2.) 08 May 2017 14:31:29
Pedro and the Board need to have as many of the signings agreed as possible before the transfer window opens in June and then the signings need to be completed on June 9th so the players have some time together before the first Europa Cup Game. Otherwise it will be embarrassing.

3.) 08 May 2017 23:36:30
Ideally season after next we can mount a title challenge. No chsmce next year. Next year target 4 me is stop dropping the daft points in non of games ie take at least 90% of points off bottom 7-9. The BIG away games be more competitive ie hearts.

4.) 09 May 2017 00:04:47
The youth team didn't exactly do that well in the development league so what makes you think they are ready for the top league? Which ones would you play?

01 May 2017 11:35:02
Possible players for next season-
Paterson from Hearts
Nicholson from Hearts
Jack from Aberdeen
McLean from Aberdeen
Moult from Motherwell
Boyce from Ross County
Lafferty from Norwich
Ball from Rotherham
Lindsey from Partick

1.) 01 May 2017 12:13:40
Would bring Dom ball back but only for midfield role.

2.) 01 May 2017 13:34:17
Out of that lot possibly Jack and McLean but we need to be looking at a better quality of player and then hope that Rossiter stays injury free for a season. I would be hoping that Pedro can bring in a couple of quality Portuguese players and three or four from Mexico, Argentina or Columbia where there are some quality up and coming young players that would also have a sell on value and there are a couple of midfield players in those leagues that would have Brown for breakfast!

3.) 01 May 2017 15:02:58
How many South American footballers have been a success in Scotland?
We need to get real in our approach, let's not forget that most South American footballers wouldn't get a work permit.
Need to get a good spine of the team in place and a solid defence.
We need to be very hard to beat, plus we are very lightweight all over.
Need players who don't get blown off the ball easy.

4.) 01 May 2017 18:48:02
Why does lafferty always mentioned. If laaferty was to come back my season ticket won't be renewed and I'm sure I'm not the only one. He was a waste of a jersey the first time round

5.) 01 May 2017 20:18:15
let's sign all of them and just Finnish 3rd again yeah 👍

6.) 02 May 2017 09:18:46
Dom ball isn't the answer either

7.) 02 May 2017 16:51:14
why do South Americans not succeed in Scotland? Because the successful ones go to England of course. Bit of a silly comment to be honest with you. In years gone by we were slightly attractive to South American players as they could play in champions league, but working visas in Scotland we far more difficult to get processed than going to mainland Europe or the bigger stage of the premier league. scottish football has been renowned for decades as one of the brutalist leagues in the world where quick/ skillful game readers get smashed to bits.

Looking forward we have to be giving some of the kids a run out between now and the end of the season.
Some players should not be anywhere near the 1st team after the past two games.
We need to build for next season, this means not playing Toral or Hyndman, as neither player will be at the club.
If the media reports are true I am disappointed that Ryan Jack will be going to the MLS instead of joining us.
That being said, with limited funds and with hardly anyone wanting the players we have, next season will be much like this season.
Unless an investor comes forward who has a love for the club and sees no return on their money, then it will be very easy again for Celtic next season.
Pedro needs the board to back him with substantial cash, if not we are looking at finishing 2nd to 4th.

1.) 30 Apr 2017 20:51:23
What kids would you play in the last games? The youth teams haven't had great seasons while a lot of the younger players are out on loan and can't play

2.) 30 Apr 2017 21:57:01
I would give the Finish winger/ forward a chance.
Burt and Barjornes (excuse the spelling) .
Possibly the young centre half Wilson.
The McCrorie brothers also deserve exposure to the 1st team squad.
Let's face it, at least they would give passion and play for the jersey unlike some of the players from the past two games.

Reason the youth teams have not been great in respective leagues is due to the fact that the players are very young indeed.
The team in the under 20 league is made up of players aged 18 and below.
And therefore this has a knock on effect to the players who can then play for the other age groups.

3.) 01 May 2017 10:58:15
I would also like to see some youngsters introduced however you have already mentioned that the youth team aren't doing well in their respective league do to them being very young! surely if they're too young for the 20s and the 18s then their far too young for the 1st team!

Would be disappointed to see Barrie leave.
If he plays with better players he will improve, let's be honest here he was playing with a team of duds last season.
If he can be consistent then we have a game changer on our hands, but many wingers are inconsistent and don't start to add consistency to their game until their mid twenties.
I would keep him, he has pace, skill, and his first touch is something Laudurp would be proud of.
However like many fans he bottles challenges and is not clinical enough, but with a good coach you would be able to see a massive improvement in his game.
The ball is in Barrie's court to improve his game and attitude, he could earn the club a small fortune in few years but is it a risk worth taking? Only Pedro knows this.
I do find it strange he is included in the Euro squad and then the next day he is meant to be banished to the under 20's and told to find a new club.

Barton ended up leaving cause Warburton ended up siding with players that couldn't expect any criticism.
Hailiday and co spat the dummies out cause they thought they were a cut above the rest, we have now seen that Halliday and Co were not up the scratch this seasons.
Barton would have been a good player with the more game he played, but then again would have then had to deal with his betting issues.

I am pretty sure that a respected board member and businessman would be talking about such confidential matters at the club.
Yes there is debt in terms of the soft loans to board members, however which other debt does the club have? I find this totally ridiculous.

I believe the money had always been there. However the issue for King was that he didn't trust Warburton with the money. This was down to his purchase of MOH and then his dealings in the summer transfer window last year.

These players are muppets
The fact that they are having to do more work, they
spit the dummies out.

They are not happy cause Pedro has found them out
as they are not good enough.

These players think that they are better than what
they actually are.

There are only a small handful of players who are in
the squad who will be wanted by Pedro, so their
opinions don't matter one bit.

Wanyama was playing in Belgium when Celtic bought him.
Not sure how he managed to get a work permit though as Keyna are not a top ranked country.
Ed may you can shine a light on work permit criteria?

Gersneworder

{Ed001's Note - I am pretty sure, if I remember correctly, he doesn't need one as he has a EU passport as well. I would have to check up to be sure though.}

Please get facts right before spouting off.
Beerman was not up against Tiereny, as both players play on the left hand side of the pitch.
This means they would be on opposing sides.
Pedro needs the backing of the board before anyone. An make a judgement on him.
Yes he got his tactics wrong, but he will learn from this.
He knows that the players are not good enough for the job or the tactics he wants to deploy.
How do you know that he has lost the dressing room, is this because the players have spat the dummy out about their short break? What he is doing is getting the players ready for European football, if they don't want this then they know where the door is.
Usual Scottish/ British players attitude when it comes to being a professional athlete, sickness me that some are more worried about their tan than playing for the club in Europe.
