It's just a matter of time before King steps down, or is he waiting to get paid off?

Gor

1.) 13 Apr 2017 19:15:24
Gor good to see a fan paying attention dear dear

2.) 13 Apr 2017 19:41:23
King wants pay off? Yip let's sell mckay tav wags wallace that should cover it restart league 2 again . if king n co never stepped in when they did god knows were the greatest and most successful football club in the world glasgow rangers fc would have been with greens white ashley. s of this world

3.) 13 Apr 2017 20:33:30
Come on Gor, tell us your real agenda?

I can't recall you having anything positive to say - did Dave King steal your girlfriend back in the day?

4.) 13 Apr 2017 21:05:04
Gor is a representative of the Ministry of Misinformation.

5.) 13 Apr 2017 23:14:25
Chat rubbish, get banged Gor. 😁

6.) 14 Apr 2017 16:43:39
Gor is Brenda's sidekick, green suspenders and all.

7.) 14 Apr 2017 16:47:11
GOR where have you been the past 5 years we should rename a stand or erect a statue for DK. Pay off? nonsense

8.) 16 Apr 2017 09:18:52
If King wanted a pay off or whatever surely he would just sanction Transfers fot whoever for whatever he could get plus why would he pay Al Gharafi the compensation for Caixinha, something Clubs with any decorum and manners would do! Still can't believe Warbs tried to get King to wave that and Forest would have been in on it! A Club that earns a few bob facing relagation or not!

28 Mar 2017 14:37:52
3 directors have been terminated at Rangers. Paul Murray, John Gilligan and Graeme Park.

Gor

1.) 28 Mar 2017 15:04:09
I doubt they have been terminated, you wouldn't get away with that in Britain. Their positions on one of the boards maybe.

2.) 28 Mar 2017 15:31:22
They were on both boards and have been taken away from one board.

Means absolutely nothing, just shows the nature of the obsessed mob fine combing companies house for anything that suits their agenda.

3.) 28 Mar 2017 16:15:55
Gor you are a disgrace - trawling the bottom for anything negative to say about the club!

Read the statements that are freely available for anyone that is interested enough to have an open mind!

Nothing doing - get over yourself!

4.) 28 Mar 2017 17:50:30
Its to do with TRFC nothing more. Its house keeping.

5.) 28 Mar 2017 18:29:35
A dark side follower was kind to point it out to me this morning. I admitted to him that I hasn't heard anything. After investigating this found it to be a non story. As ever the mhedia in Scotland lie in wait for any scraps coming out of Ibrox. Then it really is all about The Rangers.

6.) 28 Mar 2017 22:16:51
I would have thought that by now our support would realise that the Scottish Media is stacked to the gunnels with our enemies! Better we just ignore the Scottish Press.

7.) 29 Mar 2017 19:44:32
With regards to the board room housekeeping, my partner who is a chartered accountant has pointed out that this i generally a precursor to being relisted on the stock exchange and is just showing good corporate governance. Whether she is right, time will tell.

8.) 30 Mar 2017 14:41:10
thejuanpacer, i believe your partner mate never argue with a woman

05 Mar 2017 13:21:32
Davies Weird has joined Aston Villa's scouting team. Apparently he ih helping out ex Everton colleague Steve Round.

Gor

1.) 05 Mar 2017 16:41:49
Good hopefully he'll take some of the dross that he brought to us at the end of the season especially the defenders

18 Feb 2017 06:50:12
Murty to stay on until end of season

Gor

1.) 18 Feb 2017 09:22:21
It's all doom and gloom about the Celtic game for obvious reasons but after thinking on it, if we get a wee bit of fresh momentum with Murty we may even grab a point albeit the game is at Porkheid.

2.) 18 Feb 2017 09:35:15
Aye we'll get a point if the game lasts 2mins and even that might be a push

3.) 18 Feb 2017 10:02:19
Sure we lasted longer than that at Ibrox

4.) 18 Feb 2017 10:12:34
We beat an injury ravaged Morton 2-1 (and they missed an open goal, how on earth does that translate into giving Celtic a game? Cone on.

5.) 18 Feb 2017 11:13:51
A wins a win, we ground that win out spoc
And even changed the formation
Have belief, Sellick are beatable

6.) 18 Feb 2017 11:28:54
Agree Shotts, but I obviously feel more confident at Ibrox, it's so difficult to get anything at their place, but I also say it might just be the match wher we take something, that's often how football goes.

7.) 18 Feb 2017 11:29:56
Of course there beatable but we're terrible

8.) 18 Feb 2017 12:39:48
Celtic are beatable but not by you lot.

9.) 18 Feb 2017 14:09:54
Ceptic r beatable and we can do it, if they were that a great team why r they not still in Europe if we play a strong defensive game and hit them on the counter attack we will beat them

10.) 18 Feb 2017 14:11:54
Fear no Foe, you can never predict these games and it's all about who's up for it and events on the field . Don't care what anyone says. can't wait to see how that lot cope when they do get beat . It will happen and I never look at any game we play expecting we'll be beat. Losers mentality!

11.) 18 Feb 2017 15:52:11
Is this the "build yourself up for a mighty fall" starting again. Celtic will beat Rangers at Celtic Park, by a similar if not better score than last time they met there. Wishful thinking if you think otherwise imo.

12.) 18 Feb 2017 16:34:34
It's more than wishful thinking
You have got to b positive, is it wise to think
We r going to lose? Or is it simply not good enough
And hope for the best?
Sellick are beatable, I've said that again

13.) 18 Feb 2017 17:41:41
It maybe isn't wise to think you will lose. But its definitly realistic to think you will lose. that's twice iv said you will lose, make that 3 times.

14.) 18 Feb 2017 17:58:11
It's unrealistic to think that we will lose
And more wise to think of a win
And in most cases I'm pretty sure a draw
Would b took the now . That's optimistic

15.) 18 Feb 2017 19:32:38
Can't see us getting any change off Celtic for the foreseeable future. However, if we are to cause an upset then we need to press them high up the park and not let them waltz up to our 18 yard box like we normally do.

16.) 18 Feb 2017 19:45:46
I remember when we were as arrogant as the Celtic fans are now. They have short memories the lot of them. They will never have players like Gascoigne, Laudrup, GvB, Wilkins, Stevens, Butcher, even players like Caniggia. players from the World stage. The list goes on.

Celtic can claim Larsson, that's it! of course I forgot they have Dembele the latest World Class player. LOL!

17.) 18 Feb 2017 20:38:34
Sour grapes gdog but at least we can appreciate good players. I agree the players you mentioned were good players, which I appreciate as a football fan.

18.) 18 Feb 2017 21:45:56
We were never as arrogant as them.

19.) 19 Feb 2017 02:46:49
Personally i would do a walter smith keep the back door shut at all costs vs celtic 5 at the back and end it 0-0 or 1-0 atleast then you have your respect intact

20.) 19 Feb 2017 10:35:17
'They are beatable'

They have dropped 2 points all season, are unbeaten domestically and have a striker worth more than our entire squad. We need to get real, maybe, just maybe, Fods is better than Gordon. After that? Not one of our players would get a start for Celtic.

Major rebuild needed.

21.) 19 Feb 2017 11:47:08
Fod is not better than Gordon. more agile perhaps. McKay would get on the bench. Kiernan would be a starter. OK I took that too far I am clearly joking.

22.) 19 Feb 2017 14:24:50
Gdog do you remember what happened to the old rangers because of the money spent on these players?

23.) 19 Feb 2017 14:27:44
Geddes we have already lost heavily in Europe and we simply bounced back. By the end of CL we were clearly finding our feet. So us coping with defeat isn't the issue. We are well equipped and will improve again in the summer. We might drop points this season, but this will be draws as I can't see us losing in the league.

If we do however lose again imo it won't be by Rangers. The games against you now don't have the same fear or worry. I think Hearts, Aberdeen and Ross County away are harder games than going to Ibrox. Its only the crowd not the players that make a difference, should be the other way around.

24.) 19 Feb 2017 17:58:32
We are kidding ourselves if we reckon this excuse for a football team will finish top three, They are woeful. Today we saw a return to the crap formation, the return of Kiernan who was a waste of space. Hill was destroyed for pace. Our goalkeeper sold two goals. Halliday continues to get a game despite being crap. I could go on but it is pointless. We are seeing the results of King's failure to invest serious money in football players and we are now seeing the clear failure of Warburton and his cronies to acquire even one decent player despite all the bull about how great McParland was. King needs to make a serious statement about his commitment by bringing in a top quality management team and finding a way to bankroll some quality signings. Totally embarrassing. Shades of McCoist's team and shades of everything that has been wrong for the past five seasons. Rant over!

25.) 19 Feb 2017 18:54:29
What gets me is we are losing to less than mediocre teams but they are putting more fight and effort in and that is a large part of the problem.

26.) 19 Feb 2017 18:59:04
Totally agree with TOMUSA. No point in getting another interim manager in because I can't see what anyone else would be able to do with this squad. They're just not good enough.

27.) 19 Feb 2017 18:51:28
Only 7 weeks ago we ran the manky mob close. a miller sitter and a cock up by forrester when 2 on 1. only 10 months ago we beat them deservedly in the cup semi with practically same squad. what went wrong?

28.) 19 Feb 2017 23:48:52
While I agree with most of your points Tom I can't agree the keeper sold both goals. No chance of first second comes through a load of bodies n he has basically no time to react

29.) 20 Feb 2017 00:32:45
Never known so many Rangers fans suck up and shite themselves from selick. Grow a set and get behind our team. Deary me lads.

30.) 19 Feb 2017 00:36:02
God better than Gordon? Jesus have a word with yourself Gordon is pish but Fid is brutal

31.) 19 Feb 2017 23:43:36
Chinabairn you're forgetting they had 2 or 3 really good chances at Ibrox as well.
They are a mile ahead of us wake up pains me to say it.

32.) 20 Feb 2017 07:48:18
I'm sure if he was advised he was staying in charge till the end of the season he'd do a celebratory forward roll, followed by a cartwheel finishing with a handstand.

Hopefully at this point the board realise that he is a nut case and give the job to an experienced manager (even till the end of the season)

33.) 20 Feb 2017 13:19:56
Fabadabadoo: Can't say I remember as there never was an old Rangers.

06 Jan 2017 19:15:00
I've been hearing young Rossiter will not play again this season. Has anyone else heard this? What the hell is wrong with him and why haven't the club announced any injury or medical condition . Why the big secret?

Gor

1.) 06 Jan 2017 21:02:14
because this is the latest disaster with this years signings whether its tue o not that's why liverpool let him go as easily but i could have wrong info

2.) 06 Jan 2017 21:02:29
Twitter is wonderful not

3.) 06 Jan 2017 21:45:34
While I wouldn't put too much faith in these rumours and would hope that it is rubbish anyone that knew Rossiter at Liverpool knew that he was a talent but that the lad had injury problems with some Liverpool supporters even suggesting that it was down to training methods!

In any event the signings made as a result of our quality Head of Coaching, McParland have not exactly been mind blowing and while he was finding players that have yet to set the heather alight Celtic went out and signed Dembele for £500k! Perhaps our Board has not set its sights as high as they should have but that is becoming the standard under King!

4.) 06 Jan 2017 22:25:44
Gers are too quiet when it comes to rossiter. he's went from 3 weeks away from a return to 3months out something not right.

5.) 07 Jan 2017 00:55:19
Tbf, tomusa, dembele was never close to being within our current price range. The fee was £500k which we could've afforded easily enough and we could also have agreed to him recieving a a healthy percentage of a future transfer fee as celtic have apparently done but we couldn't have matched his signing on fee (which I'm led to believe was hefty) or his reported £32k per week wages. Just not in our current ball park unfortunately. Celtic will receive a huge fee for him eventually imo but there won't be anywhere near as big a profit in it as we will be led to believe once he gets his cut etc.

6.) 07 Jan 2017 04:02:33
It actually annoying me that people are calling Dembele the 500k player. He was out of contract and signed on a small development fee.

7.) 07 Jan 2017 09:25:54
Spart17, I don't disagree with what you say but we were led to believe that McParland was some form of "sorcerer's apprentice" that would unearth at least one or two quality players. Sadly I am still waiting although, even quality players on Bosmans cost money and if King does not have the ambition to bring in quality that will make a difference and a massive profit for the club then we simply won't acquire their services!

Who knows, perhaps now that he has sold one of his South African Businesses to a US Company we might see some investment!

8.) 07 Jan 2017 09:39:19
But he cost 500k so he's definitely a 500k signing.

9.) 07 Jan 2017 10:53:01
It was a 500k development fee.

Listening to Pedro, why did he say he has the best squad in Scotland? I'm a very positive person who obviously want Rangers to do well but I really have no time for liars. Be honest with the fans and that includes you Dave King, wherever you are!

Gor

1.) 13 Mar 2017 18:48:37
If you listen to full statement he wants them to be the best in scotland
so don't think he's a liar he only want the best welcome pedro

2.) 13 Mar 2017 20:02:48
He feels there the best and he wants to give them the confidence for them to believe that also

3.) 13 Mar 2017 19:42:25
Keevin having kittens on Clyde. Heard him mention the squad thing about a dozen times! Good for you Pedro. Nothing wrong with being positive. I like to hear this from a coach. Nothing wrong with trying to rile them. Had it right up to my neck with the other side's nonsense. Everybody knows Keevins hangs out of Mr fake tan's bahookie! Give them something to think about ahead of the cup game. The phone in will go into meltdown

4.) 13 Mar 2017 21:00:12
To build confidence that's why. we know we're not as good as Selik but he's trying from the off to get into the players' heads which isn't a crime.

5.) 13 Mar 2017 20:45:20
Gor, It's not so difficult to read the whole story instead of just the first three words then make up the rest.

Give it a try, think sunshine, think happy, think positive.

6.) 14 Mar 2017 11:53:17
Seeker your right about Keevins he was spewing. I think he's got a wee crush on Brenda .

7.) 14 Mar 2017 13:39:04
Keevins and Brenda up a tree! K. I. S. S. I. N. G!

8.) 15 Mar 2017 23:40:49
in the interview he states why he said that he stated he has the best squad in the country as if he doesn't believe in his players his players won't believe in him. man every single little thing said is being scrutinised already and he hasn't had time to even meet most of the players one to one yet.

if we get anything less thn a draw on saturday i can see the same fans on here saying he needs to go as we are the most impatient bunch ever.

9.) 15 Mar 2017 23:30:59
I think it's an insult to the supporters, all of you who go to all games home and away getting told that, and if you believe that, you should not be allowed to be on your own.
This is a cheap appointment and the guy was giving a scripted press conference, which is obvious to anyone with a tiny bit of sense

12 Mar 2017 16:25:42
It would be interesting what size of budget Pedro has been told he'll have. Obviously there is room for improvement. King really has to step up now.

Gor

1.) 12 Mar 2017 16:37:36
Gor, King has stepped up.

He took a decision to get rid of MW and has taken a decision not to employ just anyone. long search and interview process and offered a 3 year contract to the preferred candidate.

He will also have given assurances over a transfer budget, backroom staff etc.

What exactly is it that you expect now. £500m?

2.) 12 Mar 2017 16:48:08
Br65, how has he stepped up, if you do your homework he has only spent £3.8 million of his own money, a big difference from his children's £30 million inheritance. Regarding getting rid of Warburton, the jury is still out as Warburton is claiming £2.1 million. Loss of earnings and £500 grand that was not paid to him for getting us promoted last season. Why are you mentioning £500 million? I'm afraid that'll never happen my friend.

05 Mar 2017 16:43:05
Hi Albertz, can't believe you are asking who the career criminal is. Your a smart guy, I've read your posts and you come across as an intelligent individual. Gor.

Gor

1.) 05 Mar 2017 18:05:06
If Ashley is do rich, why are newcastle in the championiship.

2.) 05 Mar 2017 19:53:21
Are you disputing that Ashley is rich?

3.) 05 Mar 2017 18:32:02
Because they had less points than anyone else.

4.) 06 Mar 2017 11:24:39
Don't understand the logic in the statement about with Newcastle being in the championship and Ashley's wealth?

5.) 06 Mar 2017 17:52:34
My point is, if Ashley was so rich, which he certainly is, why didn't he buy them players capable of preventing relegation

6.) 07 Mar 2017 13:32:51
Boaz

The answer is simple. He is only interested in what he can take out rather than put in.

05 Mar 2017 07:07:24
I don't go into sports direct or have bought the new Rangers shirt. I simply want your opinion here. Would Ashleys investment be shuch a bad idea? He apparently has been trying to sell Newcastle for some time now, if sold this would allow him to take control of Rangers. He sees Rangers a better chance going into Europe. Yes he is a business man but he would invest heavily. Maybe it's not such a bad idea being run by a billionaire instead of a career criminal. What's your thoughts chaps?

Gor

1.) 05 Mar 2017 07:14:45
It would be a disaster!

2.) 05 Mar 2017 08:22:49
I agree BR65, ashley is part of the problem with our club just now. I don't buy my wee boy or my football tops anymore or any other merchandise from the ranger official shop as I don't think rangers are getting a fair share of the profits.
Maybe his interest will spark interest from other potential buyers. I'm not a fan of Dave king and his crowd. He just seems to drag our club from court case to court case. I'm fed up with it all.
In saying that though he is still better than Ashley as the club's owner.

3.) 05 Mar 2017 09:15:05
What we need to remember about ashley is he was offered this current merchandise deal and as a buisiness man would have been daft to turn it down at the time ovbiusly it ain't worked out great for him but if he came out cancelled that contract to show he was serious about doing what is best for the club and was going to invest am afraid it might be too good for rangers to turn down a wouldn't mind if he invested but over time took his money back herw and there that's what most of them do when they run a club no one can just waste money and never see a return billionaire or not

4.) 05 Mar 2017 09:59:15
No one really trusts Ashley because of the manner in which he has acted, especially with the Merchandise deal and for that reason alone there is little chance of him being accepted by the Rangers support. That does not mean that King is the right guy to be Chairman. On the contrary, he is full of hot air and little else. What need is investment, not an absentee landlord! the one thing that Ashley has reputedly said that I do agree with is that we need serious investment.

5.) 05 Mar 2017 10:14:53
Eventually someone with a brain. Totally agree with you

6.) 05 Mar 2017 10:28:14
I'm sure if you were working in a sports direct warehouse you may have a different opinion on who the career criminal is

7.) 05 Mar 2017 10:51:02
Everyone can see that we need serious investment but I do not believe for 1 minute that Cashley cares anything about Rangers,
our current sad state is due in part to Cashley and his cronies running our club into the ground, if the Rat cared anything about Rangers why does he not renegotiate the merchandise contract so that the club and SD make money, but he is just about control, money is not any part of his deals with RANGERS now, he only wants to be seen to beat KING and be the FAT CONTROLLER again, I do not believe CASHLEY should have any sympathy from ANY TRUE RANGERS supporters and he should be vilified as often as possible .

8.) 05 Mar 2017 13:23:59
All rich people who own football clubs do not care about them. Face the fact only people who care are supporters that is the way it is. Yes ashley treats people like shit. Football teams are not owned by people who care about clubs. Mike Ashley will make money out of rangers and rangers would compete as a team with serious investment. If ashley put money in and we get a decent calibre of player and won the league next year I'd love to see everyone change their thoughts.

9.) 05 Mar 2017 13:39:30
Ashley's main gripe is with King, not with Rangers and King, if we are honest, has done nothing but antagonise Ashley since he manipulated control.
There will be few that want Ashley back but King is not the answer. He is full of Bullshit and little else and he doesn't even turn up regularly at games.
With the current Political Regime grabbing everything that the can from the British and European residents King might be better advised to shift his money, if he has any, out of that country pretty damn quick. That however has as little to do with Rangers as Ashley's Zero hours contract as referred to above.

10.) 05 Mar 2017 11:29:36
The guys a billionaire who's pumped money into a team that's playing at a far higher level than us so it would be something that would have to be considered IF true. In all honestly does anyone really think King and Co are the answer?

11.) 05 Mar 2017 11:44:30
For the past few years he has done his best to get money out the club and hasn't helped us in any way. So what makes you think he would be good now?

12.) 05 Mar 2017 12:14:28
Why would Ashley be a disaster? don't go on about the merchandising deal. He bought that deal. Yes Green lined his own pockets but Ashley is entitled to the deal. So now he comes back and invests and moves Rangers forward. Where is the downside. King has lied and lied. Green ripped the club off. Whyte will probably do time if found guilty so how bad can Ashley be? The really guilty are still around.

13.) 05 Mar 2017 12:28:23
the problem is people still buy merchandise. Everywhere you go you see the latest strips.

14.) 05 Mar 2017 12:31:27
Gor,
Who is the career criminal? Do you know what that means?

15.) 05 Mar 2017 12:33:31
Cant believe the number of Ashley fans on here now.

He had a chance to do the right thing and we surely all see what he did.

YOGI, I am sure Dave King does not go to court through choice.

16.) 05 Mar 2017 13:10:38
How did Ashley run Rangers into the ground?

17.) 05 Mar 2017 20:02:41
There is a difference between being an Ashley fan and not liking or wanting King. personally I don't like either of them. I do not like Ashley's Business practices and I wouldn't particularly trust him to fund Rangers to get us back where we should be however I don't believe a word that comes out of King's mouth and I am totally fed up with the vendetta that is going on between the pair of them and is certainly not doing the club any good.

The day I see £30m, or anything like it spent on players, with the money put into the club by King is the day he might have some credibility but I am not expecting to see it any time soon if at all!

03 Mar 2017 17:10:50
Can't believe Pedro would give up 1.5 million a year tax free to come to Glasgow Rangers for 250 grand a year! Certainly wouldn't be me!

Gor

1.) 04 Mar 2017 11:22:29
You'd choose money over rangers?

Supercoopereleven, I hear and respect what your saying, and I'm only passing on some information. Kenny Miller has been talking to Kilmarnock, so if Rangers don't act soon then we are going to lose out to a premiership rival.

TOMUSA, An honest post, we're on the same wavelength. I hear King has been working behind the scenes desperately looking for investment but what I gather is that won't happen unless he steps down. Whether that's true or not only time will tell.

I'm reading about potential signings but my concern is that we have to sell before we buy. I'm not a fan of King to be honest but I really do hope he comes up with the funding we hugely crave. This season for me has been a bit embarrassing regarding the points difference between us and Aberdeen and Celtic. King has to come good. What's his plan before season ticket money is due?

Ace I agree with you. McKay does have talent but he is to soft, I get the impression he thinks he's better than he actually is. As for Waghorn, I'm sick watching him, the premiership is out of his league and it's evident he is struggling big time. Eyes are on Pedro for next season.
