Would be amazing if we could sign these players I have seen us linked with through here or elsewhere.

Nicky Ajose
Aaron Holloway
Alex Mowatt
Ben Pringle
Kevin Mcdonald
Jordan Rossiter
Will Vaulks
Mark Beevers
(keeper)

Probably a bit hopeful but here's to hoping! Just think this list of players or something similar would transform our squad and ambitions for next season.

Get real your on dreamland
Mate.

2.) 05 May 2016 21:28:35
Some may be possible and just remember some of the players wages will go up as they are moving up a division so there will be a slight wage increase meaning we can get some of those players.

3.) 05 May 2016 23:05:14
And the money for these players is coming from?

4.) 06 May 2016 10:27:08
Glory Hibs don't you worry where the money's coming from, it won't affect you's who we buy. you keep an eye on Dundee Utd's in's and out's, that's who you's will be playing.

04 May 2016 14:42:14
Can somebody provide a list of all players we have been (legitimately) linked with please?

Johan the bar-bear-ian

1.) 04 May 2016 15:42:26
When you say legitimately. Do you classify paper talk, rumours pages and cabbies as 'legitimate' sources of info? If you do:
Matthew Knox (Livi)
Ben Pringle (Fulham)
Cummings (Hibs)
Ziggy Gordon (Hams)
Kevin McDonald (Wolves)
Aaron Holloway (Wycombe W)
Greg Stewart (Dundee)
Bougie (Al Ain) asking to come back
Dom Ball (Loan or possible buyout)
Conor Hourihane (Barnsley)
Michael McGovern (Ham)
And I am sure there is more. Only Knox has been confirmed but the rest are purely speculation.

2.) 04 May 2016 15:43:31
The list below from Ulster_white seems to be legitimate.

3.) 04 May 2016 18:32:54
Cheers, I really just mean from any source outside of forums where the posters dads, uncle's, son's, girlfriends, neighbour is neighbours with a friend of the players drinking buddy.

4.) 04 May 2016 21:56:57
Daniel Bentley was in the paper
Will Vaulks has been in the paper.

5.) 04 May 2016 17:06:13
Boys we all know we can't go with that list as none of them were from a petrol station.

6.) 05 May 2016 08:01:28
I hope the dom ball buy out is true but sure he would cost
in excess of a mill
do not believe ere is any legs in story again he will go south on 15k per week
I believe they are talking Gordon and McGovern from hams
as both will be on freebies but warbs is keen on Bentley
again it depends on moving bell on
pringle all depends on the boy being happy to move to
Scotland and on a lot less than he would expect in englland.

7.) 05 May 2016 08:51:43
No mention of the Ulster Destroyer - Kyle Lafferty .

8.) 05 May 2016 10:25:04
ah the good old petrol station, where players, managers and coaches meet up to discuss football transfers.

Best video available for our new signing Joe Dodoo. Was originally sceptic of the lad but judging on his finishing alone on both feet, this could be a stroke of class picking him up just before he starts to show his qualities on a larger stage.

Johan the bar-bear-ian

The boy has talent. He looks strong as well as having good pace. I hope he signs it would be great to have a skillfull player who takes people on with confidence. Barry could learn from this boy, particulrly the confidence. I sometimes feel Barry could do with a bit more belief in his own ability.

Some options for a striker I would be happy to see, from most likely to possibly out of our price range. Surely we should be making a move for one of these guys, its a no brainer.

Matt Taylor- free agent, 28 goals for Bristol Rovers last season.

Sam Winnall- Last year contract, 21 league goals Barnsley.

Paddy Madden- 2 year contract, 20 league goals Scunthorpe.

Nahki Wells- 2 year contract, 17 league goals Huddersfield.

Jonathan Kodjia- 2 year contract, 19 league goals Bristol City.

Johan the bar-bear-ian

1.) 01 Jul 2016 12:44:25
KODJIA would be a good signing I think and matt taylor had a good year although that being said isn't he in the region of 35ish?
I think we should be looking for sum1 who is younger than that yet still proven goal scorer.
nahki wells would cost us bout 3 million his contract isn't up till 2018!
paddy madden I think would jump at the chance to play for us and would cost under 1 mill maybe a risk worth taking.
sam winall would be a god signing I think!

doesd anyone else think that adam rooney is just as good as all these guys I think he would score for fun for us .

I thinks adam rooney and johnny hayes both should be on our wishlist watched these two rip the spl apart last year!

2.) 01 Jul 2016 13:03:24
Taylor is only 25 I think you are mixing him up with guy who used to play for Sheffield United.

3.) 01 Jul 2016 13:33:15
Have to agree with you james stirling, I think both johnny hayes and adam rooney would be terrific signings for us, I particularly like hayes, I wouldn't mind us signing will grigg, naki wells or tom bradshaw but I have heard we're signing kyle lafferty when he comes back from his 2 weeks holiday and then we'll tie up the deal, god I hope NOT!

4.) 01 Jul 2016 14:03:39
Think you will find guys that the next players to come in will be loan signings .
Before anyone moans about not spending remember players cost wages .
MW did state that we are still looking at two more, CH, and a striker, all looking good .

5.) 01 Jul 2016 14:36:06
lafferty would be a mistake just ask any of your celtic friends they would love to see us sign him again lol that's when you know he just isn't good enough!
and on taylor well different taylor I was thinking of but that's because I don't know that many from league 2 down south I don't think we should be looking down there for a striker not when they have just signed dembelle we need a good response keep them on their toes.

6.) 01 Jul 2016 14:59:30
Wells from Huddersfield would be a good signing wouldn't mind him.

7.) 01 Jul 2016 15:36:15
Warburton15, I hope the source who told you we were after Scot McDonald is the same source source telling you about Lafferty, as let's face it, the first one about McDonald turned out to be utter garbage (thankfully) .
Lafferty is not the answer for us and I feel we should be showing greater ambition than a player who has failed at the majority of clubs he's played at since leaving us.

8.) 01 Jul 2016 17:35:28
All the names listed in posts above and I would still go with Hardie over them all. He deserves a chance for sure and when loaned out he proved he has eye for goal. With the service I hope the front man will get this season from midfield I think he would shine.

9.) 01 Jul 2016 18:18:32
Hardie will be a player but not for a couple more seasons. Would be good to get him involved this year but not as the main striker, he should be 3rd choice behind Miller and whoever we sign, being used when the situation is correct for him. This way the pressure and expectation is not all on his shoulders, he would gain experience from the other strikers and we would have a ready made replacement for Miller the season or two after.

This year is not the time to hope that he is good enough and give him the responsibilities, we need someone else in with a bit of pedigree about them already and wither you agree or not, those strikers down south have that over Hardie. There is no chance he would be scoring the goals they have at this stage in his career.

MW stated that there won't be any loan signings unless something very special comes up . due to signings made and game time you have to give to loans .

So everyone know's about Will Griggs on fire, but what do you think of this little number about Waghorn inspired by Kings of Leon, 'Sex is on Fire'.

'Getting the ball now.
'Having a go.
'The fans are all waiting.
'We're waiting. celebrating.

'GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!
'WAGHORN'S ON FIRE!

This is exactly what we need, new songs and get rid of the bigotry that still hounds our wonderful club, even when we sing that crap the vast majority of us don't believe in what were singing about, well I don't anyway, i haven't sung that crap in a few years but i used to sing them all the time at games.

2.) 30 May 2016 18:23:38
My flatmate made up a funny one a week or two ago. It goes:

Stubby's got squint eyes.
His defence is terrified.

3.) 30 May 2016 15:01:26
God almighty.

{Ed033's Note - obviously, 'god almighty' means, wonderful and sophisticated lyrics :)

4.) 30 May 2016 18:51:46
He's honestly not even that good.

5.) 31 May 2016 12:05:43
Stubby's got squint eyes?

How utterly hilarious. My sides.

6.) 30 May 2016 21:18:22
I agree millers better than waghorn scored more goals in free play that him, penalties gave waghorn more.

7.) 30 May 2016 22:24:49
Are yous actually for real with these songs?

The premier league champions under 21 team Ross. There is no way he would be playing for Leicester anytime soon. I am not suggesting this would be a negative signing by saying this but there is a difference, as teams have young players on their books just to make up the numbers in youth leagues down there, with little chance of getting into the top team much of the time. With Vardy, Musa, Ulloa, Okazaki, its obvious he won´t be playing for them anytime soon.

What doesn´t make sense is we are looking at a loan deal supposedly yet he is out of contract? How can you loan a player who doesn´t belong to anyone? More nonsense from the media maybe?

Either way, I´m all for bringing in young talent but if this is the player brought in as the backup striker, I am not too excited.

Taylor would score a barrel load with Wallace, Tav, Mckay, Forrester, Windass, O'halloran, Holt, Kranjcar all supplying the ammunition. Just the type of penalty box striker we need rite now for free, yes please.

Would like to see Mckay, Waghorn, MOH our front three, MOH running teams into the ground then making way for other attacking players late on in games. Would also stop Tavernier from bombing down the right as much since he likes to stay on his right foot, which I think is a bonus tbh. Although he got us goals would prefer Tav to be more reserved this year and chose his moments more carefully going forward.

He is contracted until 2017 and valued at 4.5 million. Should have known to take this with more than a pinch of salt.

If that's true would take him in a heartbeat, good young player, better than Wilson and Kiernan IMO, though could demand a high wage and bound to be plenty of interest.
