Jon Toral has now signed on loan for us hope it works out

King kenny

1.) 12 Jan 2017 13:25:33
Hope so too! he certainly looks the part

2.) 12 Jan 2017 18:22:34
He had a good record before he went to Granada if he can chip in with in some goals similar to his Brentford and birmingham loan deal that's what we need

Jordan thompson signs new contract

King kenny

1.) 12 Jan 2017 09:36:08
Who!

2.) 12 Jan 2017 09:51:58
He's a 20yr old n, Ireland midfielder rangers signed from Man U last summer, he's on loan at raith rovers this season

3.) 12 Jan 2017 10:32:48
Good call, very talented lad, should promote him to the first team squad next season after Raith loan completed.

4.) 12 Jan 2017 12:23:49
Glad to hear jordon Thompson got new contract. Now let's get him in first team squad as soon as his loan deals up.

5.) 12 Jan 2017 12:34:52
That's the plan, he comes back pre season and fights for a first team place, great potential, best of luck to him

6.) 13 Jan 2017 16:13:11
we need to fingd a few gems and bring them, through I think so we can either keep them and win games or sell them and get back to our true selves

11 Jan 2017 17:27:33
see we have let a few youth players go including tom Walsh

King kenny

1.) 11 Jan 2017 19:25:55
Can't find this, Kenny, any link?

2.) 11 Jan 2017 22:04:26
Yeah Tom Walsh, Ryan Sinammon and Scot Roberts all released. Good luck to them, I really thought Walsh had potential

3.) 11 Jan 2017 22:19:03
I thought Walsh and sinammon had a lot of potential. That's more youth not getting a chance at ibrox.

4.) 11 Jan 2017 23:30:45
All 3 have been youth players since 2012. So why are we releasing them? If we offer them a contract on the same terms and another team either offers better or they decided to go elsewhere for regular football then Rangers would be due training compensation money for them. Might only come to 100k but are we in a position to throw that away?

5.) 11 Jan 2017 23:37:50
I see where you are coming from about the development fee. Parky but good on the club for not hindering their chances of finding a new club. Even 100k is a lot of money for most Scottish clubs struggling to break even each year.

We also would run the risk of them accepting a new contract if they are not wanted lol

6.) 11 Jan 2017 23:53:09
Scottie, what do you mean by youth aren't getting a chance? All these boys were on loan to lesser level clubs and couldn't make an impact so why on earth would we give them a chance at Rangers?

7.) 12 Jan 2017 06:33:46
All 3 of them were the last remnants of the existing U20 squad who were turning 20/ 21. They were going to be of an age where they NEED first time football on a regular basis and clearly they were not good enough. Scott Roberts was a bench player at Falkirk and Tom Walsh the same at ST Mirren. If they aren't standout performers for teams like this, then they clearly aren't Rangers quality.

8.) 12 Jan 2017 08:31:19
They've had their contracts cut short to finance loan moves for toral and hyndman

9.) 12 Jan 2017 11:24:56
Shame for them. Sinny had captained the u20s previously, we were in the same school so maybe biased, but I thought he really deserved a chance.

10.) 12 Jan 2017 12:33:55
They are of an age to make the cut or move on, simple.
Walsh isn't as good as say atakayi and Sinnamon isn't as good as Beerman. The latter players are younger and have better potential so why hold them back to keep these guys.

11.) 12 Jan 2017 12:37:20
Spot on, they couldn't even get regular games in the championship, so they really are not good enough to play for us, but I wish them all the very best

12.) 12 Jan 2017 13:14:56
Barry McKay was poor at raith - struggled to get a game - did that mean he wasn't good enough for first team level.

On another note - In Warbs we trust.

13.) 12 Jan 2017 13:31:04
Always difficult when young boys let go and wish them all the very best.

Great to see Thompson getting contact extension and look forward to seeing him next season, also Hardie. Would like to see young Burt figure in the 2nd half of this season, looks good and ready.

Would also like young lad Bates get some fiest team game time in the second half of season.

14.) 12 Jan 2017 14:02:09
there are not many clubs got the 100k to buy them and if they can't make it theyy have to move on not nice but that's how it is

15.) 13 Jan 2017 13:46:37
Are you sure tom Walsh has been released

16.) 13 Jan 2017 14:58:16
Can't see any confirmation of Walsh being released. He is currently on loan at St Mirren. Has had 4 starts, 5 sub appearances and 3 goals in the championship.

17.) 13 Jan 2017 15:26:25
Can't see anywhere that Walsh has been released. He's on loan at St Mirren til the end of the season and being doing okay. Had 4 starts, 5 sub appearnces with 3 goals scored in the championship this season.

think its time for Halliday to sit on the bench to think about his poor performances might be the kick up the butt he needs but he know Warburton won't drop him and who would use put in his spot

King kenny

1.) 30 Jan 2017 11:49:31
feel for Halliday he plays in a postion where you can't hide, does his best every week, ok may not be the best but he is willing to stand up and be counted and that is what we need

2.) 30 Jan 2017 11:55:22
He will be the best player we have for that position until Rossiter is fit again then put him in there for Halliday 👌🏻😜

3.) 30 Jan 2017 14:01:39
Blacknessgaffer If by 'stands up to be counted' you mean you mean for example at a throw in he hides behind the defending players and points at somewhere else to pass the ball then you are bang on!

He constantly makes passes to the nearest man to him whether they have 2 men on them or not just to get rid of the ball rather than do anything with it!

4.) 30 Jan 2017 15:06:11
He shouldn't be playing the holding mid role. Either he is good enough for a game in his own position or we should be deploying a defensive midfield player in that role.

Halliday is poor in that position. He is not comfortable under pressure, he panics, he makes short passes that put the team under pressure or gives the ball away and his tackling and positional sense for a defensive player is poor.

As a result Wallace and our two centre backs are put under unnecessary pressure and it messes up the entire defence.

While we have been unlucky with the Barton saga, Rossiter's injury problems and Crooks lack of match fitness none of this is an excuse for deploying a player in a position that they just can't play.

All that is happening is that we are seeing Halliday getting the same sort of stick that McCulloch got because the manager knows that he will play anywhere for the Club and as a result is playing him out of position to the detriment of the player and the team.

5.) 30 Jan 2017 18:17:06
tomusa who would u play in there as our holding midfielder is injured the other one left after 5 mins at the club so what cdm are u talking about.

he is good enough to play in his own position but is also the only player that is able to play there to an extent it isn't his forte but he tries his best and all that about hiding away I've personally not seen that at the games. I will be looking out for it non the less.

there should be a statue of kenny miller outside ibrox when he hangs his boots up pure class be lost without him right now

King kenny

1.) 28 Jan 2017 15:25:59
Always happy to see his name in the line up and he is nonstop on the pitch!

Great example to any of the lads sitting on the bench.

2.) 28 Jan 2017 17:56:02
U want to put a statue up for a player who scored 6 goals this season, wow your standards are really high lol.
Keep up the good work.

3.) 28 Jan 2017 18:37:31
A statue of Kenny miller? Jesus.

4.) 28 Jan 2017 19:14:50
how a felt at the time. he keeps pulling us out the crap most times and he's 37 plus if your going to have a dig at someone for wht they say at least get your stats right

5.) 29 Jan 2017 15:58:34
Unbelievable the fans that gave miller a hard time on these very pages at the start of the season. the giys the ultimate pro and i just hope people can see by that he played for the mhankys and realise he's a true Rangers legend

28 Jan 2017 14:22:44
wish we had funds to buy Emerson Hyndman looks like he will n a cracking player for us well done wee man keep it up

King kenny

1.) 28 Jan 2017 14:33:14
totally agree reads the game really well

2.) 28 Jan 2017 14:38:01
Hyndman looks like a very good find

3.) 28 Jan 2017 14:40:09
Great performance by Hyndman- just what we have been missing this season
Impressive in the final third can pick out a pass and comfortable on the ball

4.) 28 Jan 2017 14:57:10
Good performance today and the boy Hyndman definitely brings something to the team with range of passing. Think Torel will also prove a good acquisition and looked sharper than last week. Kenny Miler's alround contribution is excellent. More of the same against Hearts on Wednesday lads.

5.) 28 Jan 2017 15:03:26
But loans don't work, they're a waste of time and resources, we should play our weans first, we're just making them better for their own clubs, you can't plan with loan players - tune changed now?

6.) 28 Jan 2017 15:06:29
Toral and Hyndman especially, have shaken up the midfield. We moved the ball quicker, with more purpose, and always looked dangerous.

7.) 28 Jan 2017 15:13:04
Hyndman looks to have the makings of a Robert Russell type of player, he has a good eye for a pass and makes himself available to take the ball, Toral will be better once fitter

8.) 28 Jan 2017 15:29:49
Hes valued between 800-900k apparently. Could he set to go up if he has a decent season with us.

9.) 28 Jan 2017 15:59:22
Have you changed your tune wee ecky, you have been very critical of the club and warburton recently. I respect people that can admit they were wrong, I've certainly been wrong loads of times lol

10.) 28 Jan 2017 17:41:30
Loans are fine if you take a player over two years. Short loans make no sense. However they may be the difference of second and third.

Tav and Halluday are gash.

11.) 28 Jan 2017 19:43:01
I never once said loan deals were not a good idea, like several others on here have done, Delboy. I also don't criticise the club and make no comment on finances etc as it is outwith my sphere. Criticising the manager and his tactical choices or his selections is different, so no, I haven't changed my tune at all. It seems others have though.

21 Jan 2017 16:56:25
tht was very hard to go watch today. spend to much time on the ball and need to move it quicker. thank for kenny miller how do we replace him when he hangs up his boots. we have to depend on hill who is about 38 to win tackles and headers and miller at 37 to score our goals apart from they 2 and mckay the rest are almost passenger's at times . shouldn't take us to go down 1 nil till we start to play a tad faster and get it in the box. still a win but not pretty to watch

King kenny

1.) 21 Jan 2017 18:20:23
fs we won.

is that no enough for ye?

we are new to the spl we are going forward no backwards

get behind the bears

motherwell pumped us two year ago? some people canny see green cheese

2.) 21 Jan 2017 19:00:00
with the possession and players we have we should not be sitting at 80 minutes with ZERO shots on goal and 1-0 down

3.) 21 Jan 2017 19:54:49
ffs we only just won we should beat these sort of teams no problem with the players we brought in and wage bill will b a lot higher than ever team apart from celtic. we all have a opinion and right to express it especially when we travel over 100 mile 1 way then 100 bk home and spent our hard earned cash to watch tht pish. if we didn't win u probably be on hear calling for Warburtons head and slate the team. hate people say its a new team new to spl and need time to gel half way into a season this team should be performing. if your happy good for u

4.) 21 Jan 2017 20:22:57
Is that a 200 mile round trip?

5.) 21 Jan 2017 20:29:05

7.) 21 Jan 2017 21:01:39
thts wht blue blood gers said no me

8.) 22 Jan 2017 17:15:57
Have to mention that young emerson hyndman's defence splitting pass through for kenny miller's second goal today was quite superb! What i like about this young american, is he demands the ball and looks to get on the ball constantly! He always makes himself available. I sit in the copland and had a cracking view of his through ball, for kenny's winning goal. I would start hyndman in our midfield, with probably either holt or halliday dropping to the bench. Quite simply imo hyndman is better than both of them!

9.) 22 Jan 2017 17:42:49
Far too slow, square passes, not one run to try and split defence. Everyone looking for a square ball, too often no one in the box. Where would we be without miller. Dreadful too watch until we went behind. How much more do we have to suffer this. For all those that think warbs is the man for us, I ask you are you happy watching this? Except mckay and miller, where was the desire and bravery? Dead in the final third, took us ages to get to the final third. Again a mistake from the other team saves our blushes. For me warbs out!
