According to the sun Kenny miller and Lee Wallace are to be sacked after an outburst after Sunday's game.

Macbear

1.) 17 Apr 2018 05:23:13
Another clear out ahead starting from scratch again! No wonder Wilson and bates jumped at other offers we are going nowhere

2.) 17 Apr 2018 06:50:10
Kenny miller should never have been given a new contract in the first place while lee Wallace sums up everthing wrong with rangers, a captain with zero leadership!
Yet doppy supporters on here want Kenny miller involved in the management setup, the club is riled with mediocrity and the club needs completely cleansed. Apart from one or two young players I would get rid of every player in that squad, radical changes are what it is going to take to get anyway near Celtic but I doubt very much that our inept board have the money to fund these radical changes!

3.) 17 Apr 2018 07:44:16
Seems pedro was right when he signalled out wallace and kenny miller before no wonder they are raging at murty after that game who it was a discrace.
he should have done the decent thing and also resigned.
If he has lost the dressing room then we will struggle to finish second
The squad is not good enough the only players the new manager should keep are fod tav john mccorie candelias docherty jack dorrans morelos cummings murphy

4.) 17 Apr 2018 08:05:32
Maybe they where both right in what they said? Both have been here long enough, Miller through good times and bad and maybe they told Murty what he needed to hear. Have you never had a manager who doesn't really know what they are doing and after giving them the benefit of the doubt, question them?

5.) 17 Apr 2018 08:38:03
Miller is certainly not the player he used to be but, he has stuck with the club when I am sure he could have went else where. He would give his best when on the pitch, regardless what league we were in. I would like to see him at least as a coach. Rightly or wrongly it shows the players are hurting and want better. I would be more concerned if no one was saying anything and just letting it go. Confidence is obviously very low just now, but we can still finish 2nd then start rebuilding, from the top, for next season.

6.) 17 Apr 2018 09:37:27
Miller to be sacked
Lee to be suspended
Haliday should be sacked or suspended
Moralos and doherty same

There a time and place for what they all done

7.) 17 Apr 2018 10:09:46
Dear O Dear

Fans on here were bitching about loyalty win Naismith, McGregor ect all left yet Lee Wallace sacrificed his career to stay and showed loyalty OK probably not the best captain but stuck by us now we are saying clear them out and "sums up Rangers" get a grip will you they were only probably saying what should have been said after a performance like sunday and if certain players and management staff can't handle that then they should also follow them out the door, yes there is a time and place for these show downs and respect needed to the management but how can you expect the players to show respect when the board don't even respect them with that pathetic statement at the beginning of the week.

8.) 17 Apr 2018 10:49:40
ridiculous to include young Docherty in last post

young boy with a great future

future gers captain

9.) 17 Apr 2018 10:53:51
I always supported lee as captain and for his loyalty to the club an alwsys will

10.) 17 Apr 2018 11:16:57
I think Miller and Wallace are quite wright to vent their anger. what has murty said a big fat nothing. I think mutty has lost the dressing room now.

11.) 17 Apr 2018 11:34:44
People saying a time and a place. what like behind closed doors in a dressing room? Why did rangers need to make this public. Fine them both n get on with it. Players are entitled to. vent n voice opinion and these two know what's needed n probably told a few home truths. Just more headlines for everyone to mock us over.

12.) 17 Apr 2018 12:02:07
god Rangers fans? Let’s look at a few things here if you look at the old firm game when we won on penalties wit ronnie D as their manager Celtic fans were screaming to get rid of half the team Brown Armstrong Mcgregor to name but a few board acts brings in Brendan who can man manage look at those players now look at Brown strutting Aboyne that midfield full of confidence, now look at us we are in the exact same place players with no confidence a manager they have no respect for it showed on Sunday the set up of that team was a disaster no chance of winning that game and the players knew it, set up to stop Celtic playing sit in deep we should have been in their faces from the first bell like the Ibrox game.
We need a manager who can man manage bring the joy back to Rangers look at Smith he let the players enjoy themselves but there was a line you darent cross look at Gascogne me was not enjoying Italy he was brought to Rangers where arguably we saw the best two and a half years of his career, I know we don’t have players of his quality but I’m pointing out what a manager with man management skills can do look across the city we were laughing at them under Ronnie Deila but Rodgers has turned them into players we need to do the same we have players who can play but have no confidence right now so with a bit of investment a good manager we will be in a better place

13.) 17 Apr 2018 12:19:54
i for one agree with everything that has happened on the pitch and off of it. joey barton had strong words to say after what could only be described before sundays semi final was the worst old firm game i have ever seen in my 28 years as a rangers fan and look what happened to joey. the players should be disappointed with their own performances during the game but sadly the blame must lie with murty as he does the tactics and he was found wanting in a bad way and looked like a fish out of water. it seems like managers and the staff and some players don't like the hard truths being told when the hard truth is what is 100% needed.

14.) 17 Apr 2018 12:20:47
really depends how far it went in the dressing room
was it joey barton type behaviour?

will we ever know?

15.) 17 Apr 2018 12:25:42
We are in free fall now. No confidence in manager- i have sympathy for murty- he was hung out to dry with kings statement. Personally if it was me i'd give 2 fingers to King and tell him to shove his job but Murty is a good guy. Having said that we need a manager with authority and have a board who will back him- can that be saidm of our board-they can't even get their part right. On the park i think we will be lucky to see 2nd place- kilmarnock and hibs will beat us. Poor season again. Should we expect better? It may not look good off park with the finances etc but we should at least be able to put a team on the park that aren't p***ies. As long as i see passion on the field with hard work i'd be happy. We can't fund a decent manager with decent players.

16.) 17 Apr 2018 13:22:49
I find it staggering, the number of Rangers fans on here siding with Miller and Wallace over our Manager, particularly when they have no idea what was said or in what context!
Graeme Murty is the Manager of our football club and if these 2 senior pros have embarrassed or disrespected him in front of the rest of the players in that dressing room, then Miller and Wallace’s feet shouldn’t touch the floor. Whether you were a fan of Caixinha or not, Miller and Wallace both have previous at this, having allegedly done the same to him. I don’t care how long they’ve been with the club (and let’s face it they’ve both been well paid for playing extremely poorly against second rate opposition over the years) it doesn’t give them right to behave like spoilt teenagers towards the manager, particularly in front of the rest of the squad!

The two 20 year olds (Docherty and Morelos) at least deserve some respect for directing their frustration and ire at each other. After all, it’s hardly Murtys fault that the majority of the players in that team on Sunday weren’t capable of making a 3 yard pass!

17.) 17 Apr 2018 13:36:40
Lee Wallace is a grass

18.) 17 Apr 2018 18:38:46
I also think this is a deflection tactic to give the fans something to talk about. Jim traynor wrote all over it.

22 Dec 2017 12:15:39
Some news today.
Murty until the end of the season and Declan John signs permanent deal to stay at rangers. Let's move on and get behind Murty now.

Macbear

1.) 22 Dec 2017 12:26:27
absolute joke. we are embarrassing . nobody wants to touch us with a barge pole.

2.) 22 Dec 2017 12:33:55
Another season down the tubes. Disappointed! Beaten at home by St Johnstone, here's the job until the end of the season, again. Zero ambition shown, again

3.) 22 Dec 2017 12:45:02
Can not believe we have just apointed murty till the end of season this board are absolutley clueless this has got be a cost cutting excersise at the club that is the only possible reason why we have apointed him because performances and results can not be the reason.
once again they will be waiting on the fans season ticket money to invest in the team that's why no one wants the job because there is no money available.

4.) 22 Dec 2017 12:59:40
really gutted at the news to be honest. unispiring to say the least. maybe it is the only option available financially but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt any less.

5.) 22 Dec 2017 13:02:04
Fans bang on about catching Celtic getting back to our rightful place well the appointment of Murty will not help that cause Celtic pay £1mill a year to get a manager from EPL we get our U20s coach the board are a complete joke they are taking us for a ride there is no ambition at this club employed two dud managers threw about £10 mill at them and we are no further forward then we get our U20s coach as if we haven't went through enough over last five or so years this is not having a go at Murty he has done his best he's been thrown in to take the flack while the board hide in their dark tower the truth is no one of any class wants the job we are a complete shambles this team will struggle to finish second we are in for a long season

6.) 22 Dec 2017 13:02:21
Some results have been disappointing but we're much better of now we're rid of Pedro. Hopefully we'll get rid of the Mexicans, sign of 2-3 players. I think we'll finish 2nd this season. Murtys alright

7.) 22 Dec 2017 13:14:24
I don’t really know how to feel. Declan John is a decent young player so this is good news as he’s an international player for free. Murty until the end of the season shows no ambition and that we have no money! I will get 100 percent behind murty as this is not his fault he’s just been thrown in at the deep end and is doing as good as anybody has done as our manager for years so fair play to him! The board are full of snakes. Merry Christmas Dave King ya clown

8.) 22 Dec 2017 13:15:32
Disappointed that we haven't gone for a bigger name for manager, but let's all think of the financial implications. Maybe there is no giant magic pot of cash. If this appointment keeps the club afloat until cash is available then surely that's better than the possible alternative.

9.) 22 Dec 2017 13:41:34
Let's face it we are skint. Also Davie boy needs to pay out 12 million in next 30 days I hear.

Good luck to Murty, not experienced enough but still need to get behind him.

Where do we go from here guys?

10.) 22 Dec 2017 13:39:07
Alex Mcleish / Billy Davies / Tommy Wright / Jack Ross / Tony Pulis / Paul Clement / Frank De Boer. None of these guys are going to take us forward. All rubbish. Better off with Murty can take a better look at the end of the year,

11.) 22 Dec 2017 13:46:11
LOL We are a shambles

12.) 22 Dec 2017 14:20:15
Come on now gee Murty a break and get him some players in but with king losing that case Wat does it actually mean for the club please enliting me people

13.) 22 Dec 2017 15:25:42
Embarrasing appointment, under 20's coach with virtually no experience, a huge step backwards

14.) 22 Dec 2017 15:34:16
I hate this board more and more each day and we can forget about about finishing second with Murty in charge till the end of the season. Said it before and will say it again we are a joke of a club with this current board in charge of our great club😬
This appointment only highlights what most of us thought, that we are completely skint!

15.) 22 Dec 2017 17:34:01
Again, Director of Football is the long term problem.

16.) 22 Dec 2017 18:29:00
Could also be they have identified another candidate that's not available until summer. Have heard rumours not confirmed by club source to me personally but there will be investment in rangers by a new shareholder. Not sure if Ashley would fit into that as don't know if he still has shares

17.) 22 Dec 2017 19:40:11
Spurs, that decision against Dave King means he haw, no shareholder in their right mind will accept the offer and that was his point all along, waste of time and money!

18.) 24 Dec 2017 14:21:53
We don't need a big name, we need someone who knows what they are doing! Regardless of their name! Murty is doing fine. Give the guy a chance to get some players in january. Murty will get shot of the foreign duds. He can only play with the hand he was dealt for the time being.

19.) 24 Dec 2017 15:13:09
DS
In practical terms it means nothing.
When a shareholder owns a percentage of a company -I think its 40% - they must offer to buy up all the shares at the price he paid for the shares that took him over the 40%.
Dave King has to offer say 20p per share but as they are currently at 29p no one would be stupid enough to sell to him when you can get 29p on the market. As it stands DK has to pay zilch but will incur the cost of making the offer and collecting the refusals. Even if the shares were £ 100 he only has to offer the price on the date he bought his last lot.
Giving this a big press without an explanation is mischief making

Get behind your team for goodness sake! Will also be good to see Sir Walter around the place on more regular basis.

05 Dec 2017 15:47:23
So no contact has yet to be made with Aberdeen over DM, I'm really hoping it's GVB after the CL groups are finished instead. I'd rather pay a million to Feyenoord than them for someone who has won a title in a similar but possibly better league.

Macbear

1.) 05 Dec 2017 16:19:02
Would love him but just can’t see it. He’s used to working at a higher standard with better players. Would all depend on what budget he had I suppose

2.) 05 Dec 2017 16:42:09
Very true. But, back in 2011 he and RK lost all their top players, replaced them with youth Classi etc and now they challenge under him consistently. We can always hope!

3.) 05 Dec 2017 16:57:31
Wouldnt want GVB, he couldn't wait to leave as a player as soon as an English team came for him and he would be the same as a manager

4.) 05 Dec 2017 16:59:03
I’m surprised your no telling the forum that Gio played for us for 10 years and won 1 trophy in that time going by your past comments on previous Rangers employees Mprent111.

5.) 05 Dec 2017 17:36:28
i was told by a good source mark allen met with mcinness agent yesterday

6.) 05 Dec 2017 18:38:57
Mac bear - you've got a point. All European group stages finish this week.
Wouldn't surprise me if it's someone we haven't even mentioned yet.
Maybe Keith Jackson should be told first lol!

03 Dec 2017 21:57:18
Just seen Neil McCann has been installed as 2nd favourite. Thoughts.

Macbear

1.) 03 Dec 2017 22:45:47
I like Neil McCann but surely not lol. That would be underwhelming!

2.) 03 Dec 2017 23:18:31
Nowhere near enough experience
I like McCann but it would be a bit of a kick in the balls if it was him

3.) 04 Dec 2017 10:11:10
I'd prefer McCann to McInnes. Seems to be far more tactically astute. But yes, it would be an underwhelming appointment

4.) 04 Dec 2017 10:37:43
Sky bet took a huge bet on him this afternoon, I hear it was £20k at 10/1. Probably rubbish, but keeps it interesting.

5.) 04 Dec 2017 18:25:09
he has been sitting at 9/2 since at least yesterday if not the day before too.

Hello fellow bears, just back from my hols. Been catching up with all the news and it feels like 1986. It's back to the future.

The other two teams finishing higher in the league for 8 long years then 💥, a wee double and league dominance for the years ahead. If SG can do anywhere near as good as GS when he came in then it's going to be a great year ahead.

Macbear

29 Apr 2018 09:39:59
All we need now is for Stevie g to come out of retirement for 1 season, play season 1 of his 3 year deal and do a Souness. That would shut Scott Brown up, verbally and on the pitch.

Macbear

1.) 29 Apr 2018 10:25:02
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

2.) 29 Apr 2018 10:51:06
He’s 37 let's keep him on the side driving the standards up and coaching.

3.) 29 Apr 2018 11:00:28
Totally mate would love stevie g as a player manager

4.) 29 Apr 2018 13:54:20
Honey G more like. joke of a football club

17 Apr 2018 09:12:17
It does not matter what Manager comes in. Miller and Wallace will do the same thing when it's not going their way. Both need to be gone ASAP.

Macbear

1.) 17 Apr 2018 09:28:42
After Sunday’s result can u. blame them for having a go? For me it’s murty that should leave he’s way way out his depth candias, Halliday, miller and now Wallace they all can’t be wrong

2.) 17 Apr 2018 09:41:15
jc it is disrespectful and undermining him and a complete embarrassment to the club

beside all 3 done at gers
new ideas needed

3.) 17 Apr 2018 09:48:45
your right mate nobody knows what was said and to who murty to laid back and after a result and performance like that on sunday no wonder tempers were flared at least it shows they care

4.) 17 Apr 2018 09:55:10
Not that he had much of a clue as a manager but Pedro sussed out Miller right away and was looking to move him. Honestly, how many backed Miller instead of Pedro?
One bad apple is all it takes.

5.) 17 Apr 2018 10:02:30
It’s disrespectful to us fans that Murty didn’t have a go at the players after that shambles.

Like I said way out his depth!

6.) 17 Apr 2018 10:10:41
jc

do you know murty didn't have a go at the players?

Murty looked upset post match interview

feel sorry for him he has stood up and been counted unlike they jokers

time to sort new boss out with adequate funds out

7.) 17 Apr 2018 11:00:05
Tilidie

How are u so sure he did?

Well if u watched his post match comments u will see he says its to raw at the moment to let the players know so for me he didn’t

8.) 17 Apr 2018 13:47:03
Whatever Miller and Wallace said I believe was done in moment of angst as opening up in dressing room was wrong but after getting gubbed 4-0 I would believe they had every right to.

When Declan Jon was fit Murphy could do no wrong. He’s been excellent, after he DJ got injured and AH cane in Murphy form dropped. He’s a great squad player.

It just shows you what a bit of tactical knowledge can do for a player. If this story had popped up 6 weeks ago we’d be biting their hands off. Now. not to sure since he’s shown us he can be more consistent for longer.

Ok so I think people really have to calm the hell down! Personally and over 50% of the readership thinks Mcinnes was the wrong choice.
Murty has done what none of the previous two managers has done- talk sense, build a relationship between players, got players in their right positions and playing for the jersey. He conducts himself with integrity and outsmarted the ‘main candidate’ twice, second time with 10 men and a make shift defence, so I give him lots of credit for steadying the ship.
Now whether this length of time that it has taken to get contact to Aberdeen was to unsettle the sheep it worked a treat without rangers ever mentioning DM by name. The media did all the work for us. Fact is, we are 2nd in the league and we have a real chance of being consistent under Murty than any other manager at the moment.
I hope the board take as much time and get the best manager in. We are nowhere near catching Celtic, just now or in January. Work needs to be done to get the right person in for the summer while using youth rather than spending in January. Give Murty the chance to continue to stabilise and reach 2nd place. For the love of god just get behind the team and maybe just maybe we’ll have the confidence to take something off them in January.
