I can with certainty confirm that Joey Barton will NOT be signing.

Rangers19722016

1.) 22 May 2016 20:36:11
Yer just guessing!

2.) 22 May 2016 20:43:28
just making stuff up.

3.) 22 May 2016 21:11:23
He's 100% not signing you say rangers 1972 2016, you've not stated how you know that which has me thinking you're having a shot in the dark here unless of course you're a family member of joey barton or a very close friend.

4.) 23 May 2016 06:59:27
If he has not committed yet then no thanks Joey. If you need that amount of time ti sign for us then sorry. Walk.

5.) 22 May 2016 23:36:24
Another tweet from tonight from him looks promising he randomly said #.

6.) 23 May 2016 16:37:55
Well you were saying? Barton has signed with Burnley and we move on to other targets.

28 Apr 2016 15:36:32
Ed, what defenders are being looked at? I would love to see Berra, experienced, Rangers fan, pals with weir (I think) , I also think Jordan McGhee will be getting targeted, seen some rumours about Ziggy Gordan but he doesn't come across as a Warburton player.

Rangers19722016

{Ed039's Note - Ziggy Gordon is a name that wont go away, although there are plenty of names being put about just now but its hard to tell what is right and what is wrong)

1.) 29 Apr 2016 21:24:06
Ziggy Gordon wouldn't improve us at all and is a massive Celtic fan.

{Ed039's Note - Being a Celtic or Rangers fan means nothing, Scott Allan springs to mind)

2.) 30 Apr 2016 09:26:38
I'm led to believe that christophe berra is a celtic fan and not a rangers fan.

3.) 30 Apr 2016 13:24:54
I`d like to see us go for Callum Paterson of Hearts, a real wholehearted player would be a good addition.
What`s your view?

4.) 30 Apr 2016 14:44:32
I think he is a cracking player blue bear would like to see him at us, was watching my mate play for Alloa against hearts an he was superb big lump of a boy be good to push tav up a bit.

5.) 30 Apr 2016 18:40:01
you think he will go to you's instead of heading south?

6.) 02 May 2016 00:11:03
Manx jambo he has no chance of euro football plqhing in english championship.

22 Apr 2016 13:41:32
Any suggestions who our defensive targets may be?

Rangers19722016

1.) 22 Apr 2016 14:09:48
from the 100 or so names mentioned in the last week only, surely some were defenders LOL!

2.) 22 Apr 2016 15:27:53
Jordan McGhee and Bougherra have been linked. I think Crooks can play at CB as well.

3.) 22 Apr 2016 16:14:13
What about David wheater at Bolton.

4.) 22 Apr 2016 17:02:00
So long as there is some height, we are a small team and suffer from the high ball.

5.) 22 Apr 2016 16:48:08
Should be looking at Ron Vlaar. Huge experience with the Dutch national team and the English prem. Always thought he was one of the better CB's in the Epl. Only 31 and now got his fitness back playing for AZ.

6.) 22 Apr 2016 18:41:40
Mark Beevers from Milwall I've heard we're in for.

7.) 22 Apr 2016 20:35:09
Great shout mccoist9, I've also heard mark beevers is signing for us from millwall where he's out of contract, I actually posted this about beevers a few weeks ago, good, no nonsense centre half who's solid and hard as nails, a similar style to arsenal legend martin keown, he's exactly the big old fashioned centre half we're crying out for, really hope we do sign big beevers!

8.) 23 Apr 2016 23:51:01
Gosman you should maybe see your doctor about that, lol,

9.) 24 Apr 2016 13:26:01
Donald Love- 21yrs old - CB/ RB (MAN U)
Tika Musonda - 22yrs old - RB/ CDM (CHELSEA)
Cameron Carter-Vickers- 18yrs old - CB (SPURS)
Mathias Bossaerts- 19yrs old - CB/ RB/ CDM (MAN C)

All of these lads play for the U21 league, ALL of their contracts would be up in the summer so only a development fee would be needed. You never know!

{Ed001's Note - a development fee is only required if the player has been offered a contract which matches or betters their current one by the club they are contracted too. Not sure what will happen with Love, but he does look in very real danger of being released by Man Utd as he struggled badly in the first team and has now dropped behind much younger players.}

10.) 25 Apr 2016 13:41:40
Love looked decent when he came on in man u Europa league game against midgeyland. I think we only really need 2 TALL CB's one for cover, a back up RB, and a few midfield players certainly a holding midfielder is needed. I have confidence that windass will score over 20 goals for us next season.

It would appear a Mark Warburton is looking to leave to go back down south, I find that very worrying indeed, however how many bad managers have Rangers had? Not many.

Rangers19722016

1.) 11 Jun 2016 23:37:05
You were as certain about Barton not signing a while ago and look what happened there.

29 May 2016 13:23:33
Bit random I know but think it would be a great idea if we got Ally McCoist, Lee McCulloch etc the ones that were part of the journey on to the pitch before first game of the season and give them a true I brow thank you, would be moving and also be great.

Rangers19722016

1.) 29 May 2016 13:51:01
I don't want McCoist anywhere near Ibrox ever again. If you have seen the emails leaked by Charlotte Fakes ages ago then you will know that he sold out the fans for his own personal gain. In the emails between him and Charles Green he agreed to endorse the new board and share scheme in exchange for a bumper salary and 1% of the shares when the club was floated. So even though he was a great player, he has tarnished his reputation as far as I am concerned. Not only that he subjected us to 2.5 years of utter crap football, despite having a massive budget compared to other teams.

McCulloch is a different story as I would be happy to welcome him back. He gave everything to the club and gave us some good memories.

2.) 29 May 2016 13:56:31
Lee McCulloch is now with Kilmarnock so I don't see any rationale for him being at Ibrox other than when we play against them and I am sure that he will always be well received.

I couldn't personally care less whether McCoist is ever at Ibrox again unless it as a member of the support cheering on the team.

He has had his time at Rangers and I am sure that, like a lot of people he regrets taking the managers job, (albeit that financially he did rather well out of it) .

Under his watch as manager we saw some of the worst football players that we have ever had the misfortune of wearing the Rangers Jersey. His signings and his style of football was a joke as was his assistant manager that, unbelievably, later became manager.

3.) 29 May 2016 14:15:36
Why not? Guys given us more good than bad. No grudges in my family.

4.) 29 May 2016 14:40:49
Coisty owes fans something of an explanation as to why he acted as a public front man to a bunch of crooks plundering the club.

Legend as a player, was my hero as a kid. But his actions as a manager leave a bad taste in the mouth and his unwillingness to speak about it casts a question on his character.

5.) 29 May 2016 14:49:35
Great shout Rangers19722016!
McCoist should be welcomed back for the first game of season at Ibrox with open arms! He stuck with us through thick and thin, (latterly, mainly thin! And not to mention the amount of goals he scored for us over the years as a prolific striker! ) when we were at rock bottom, u must remember it wasn't him who put us there, yet he took our first steps as manager (granted, a very poor one, let's face it, he couldn't manage a bag of chips! ) on our journey, back up through the leagues.
Love him or hate him, the man is a True Blue Legend, and should ALWAYS be welcome back at Ibrox!

6.) 29 May 2016 17:49:36
Ally stole money from the club just like the other crooks and his style of play and results were shocking. If u want to thank him for that feel free however I could never bring myself to cheer for this greedy individual anymore.

7.) 29 May 2016 18:36:31
will never forgive Ally for saying ''i signed my contract and did not know what my salary was'' complete and utter bs, and worse he seems to believe us punters are so thick we would believe him.

8.) 29 May 2016 19:13:57
Boss Hog I'm with you, after all that I don't do walking away, shite eh he sure did do walking away more like a sprint with gardening leave payout every month to buy his silence, he knows way more about the shenanigans than we'll ever know. Come along at the flag ceremony but don't expect 100% welcome you took millions out of Rangers.

9.) 29 May 2016 20:14:03
The only way I ever want to see McCoist back at Ibrox is if he is going to apologise to the fans for his greed and the fact that he was the worst ever manager at the club playing the worst football seen at Ibrox.

Thank God Warbs is now in charge rather than McCoist.

10.) 29 May 2016 21:54:36
Ally mccoist is a legend, anyone who says otherwise are deluded halfwits, same people who cry about our players leaving as well in 2012, no chance anyone could expect players like that to stay and play in the 3rd division.

11.) 29 May 2016 22:05:21
Ally was a legend still is guy took a job on that was not just a job kept the club together whether he took too much he saved his club and put his neck on the line. He was paid good but look where we've come from to now there where times where we thought it was over lucky to still have a club that looking good atm. He was sick at the end of it no man deserves abuse for giving 100% just didn't work whether he thought it was the wage he deserved who knows? Iif Rodgers is on 40 at Celtic what was ally worth he was a leader in a time of need.

22 May 2016 16:07:07
Invidually Tav, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace (as good a captain he is caught out a bit as well but that's due to the style of play) are great but collectively as a team lack communication etc and it is embarrassing to watch, to me they are not bad players however a few more defenders are needed for completion.

Rangers19722016

1.) 22 May 2016 17:23:37
Tav can't defend. Kiernan can't tackle. Wilson is a scapegoat. Wallace is a decent player, no more.

27 Apr 2016 17:26:24
Ed, what players can you see joining us this summer? Personally I can see M Beevers, D. Bentley, A. Gilbey, C. Hourihane, G. Stewart, A. Holloway and leaving Sheils. Law, Clark, Bell, Loan return Ball, King, Zelalem.

Rangers19722016

{Ed039's Note - Greg Stewart is the one I can see joining but he has a year remaining on his contract so wont be free and I don't know how much Dundee will want for him. There will also be a few loan signings but there wont be a huge outlay on players)

1.) 28 Apr 2016 11:48:49
expect McGovern from Hamilton replace bell
would not be surprised to see ball back next season
can see Holloway coming in as is cheap
also still hearing ziggy Gordon is also on the radar out of contract this summer
would not be shocked if we don't actually spend any money
this summer.

2.) 27 Apr 2016 22:43:02
Ed any interest in Murray Davidson?

{Ed039's Note - There is no interest in Murray Davidson due to his age and injury record)

3.) 28 Apr 2016 21:58:00
If Murray Davidson hadn't got that bad injury when we were in division 1 he would be a rangers player.

4.) 28 Apr 2016 14:01:57
I hope the management have a bit more imagination and can show that they are aware of players beyond the lost souls of English lower league and ex rangers players.

26 Apr 2016 11:01:58
I recall McParland saying he wanted young players from Scotland, I understand Kane Hemmings is English but spent all his career in Scotland, I have a feeling he may be a genuine target.

Rangers19722016

1.) 26 Apr 2016 11:14:29
Thinking Greg Stewart, Sam Nicholson and Jordan McGhee might be amongst the likely Scottish targets McParland has in mind.

Hemmings is a great goalscorer but don't know if Warburton and Co. would want him.

2.) 26 Apr 2016 11:56:04
if this is our policy we will slip like Celtic sure to get us back to the top of Scottish football but in the long run we will need to bring in some quality Celtic have wasted time and money on signing like gms Armstrong etc good players but have lowered the standard of Scottish football there attack is basically Dundee Utd/ hibs from when we went down. Player like Davis and jelivic that's the type of quality we need if we will ever see great nights in Europe again.

3.) 26 Apr 2016 14:56:56
boabt78 we don't have the money simple as that if you haven't it got you can't spend it. unless we double season ticket money or find other ways to raise cash the likes of signing a steve davis or jelavic is going to be a distant memory. now could be if we qualify for europe there may be some more money but don't be holding your breath.

4.) 26 Apr 2016 15:47:28
We never had the money when we signed jelavic or Davis either but it still happened.
