Its definately the new training top 100%, just read it in one of the articles about the signing, looks like a very good and shrewd signing by the club, he said he would have walked to Ibrox to play for Steven Gerrard, that shows the stature that the manager has, especially as Spartak Moscow were after him and they are in the champions league,
On another note, Rangers by appointing Steven Gerrard have raised the profile of Scottish football by a massive margin and we now have global interest, but unbelievably day in and day out we have football people in the media desperately hoping that he fails, there are very few articles wholeheartedly supporting him,

Mariappa Would be the final piece of the jigsaw. And if we could grab a high quality striker on loan then even better but I'd be happy enough. We will be a strong contender in all competitions. Nobody will want to come up against us. (Other than financial reasons! ) .

Waggy and O'hall play better in the wide fw position (based on last season) along with McKay and think Windass will be competition for that role. I think Miller and Hardie need a proper CF to challenge them (or for them to challenge for a starting place) .

Tell you what folks, I am very excited about the upcoming season. Forget what I said a couple of days ago and my pessimism, we ARE in a position to compete for the title this time round. A fit Niko will be the most technically gifted player in the league. With Barton and Rossiter bedside him this could be the best midfield 3 we've had since Ferguson, Ricksen and Arteta that year. Brown or any so called midfielders from Hearts and Aberdeen will be lucky to touch the ball against us. Browns right though they two teams will be their main competition, for second!

I just love the shopping Rangers are doing, putting together something special. Just a couple more I think. Marriappa, 2.a goal scorer of quality, and then maybe some English premier league young guns on loan for say cover.
And I think it will have been the best transfer window in donkeys years. Last year the gaffer put together a squad quickly, and we did great with what we had, give the gaffer time and look what he comes up with, I'm delighted and no Celtic fan can wipe the smile of my face.
Because I'm going to sit back after all the good free agents have been snapped up, and watch them waste millions on transfer fees for flops. I actually have a real believe that we could maybe win a double this year.

Yeah we do well with Croatians loved Dado, and Jelavic, the seem to always do well here!
I love the Croatian style it's like a mix between technical ability and dogged determination. I thought Niko also spoke well in his press conference and you can just tell he's confident and up for this.
On to the defence because now that's important, I have little to no faith in Kiernan and Wilson, But would love Marriappa because this guy can defend and also play. I wonder if mcparland can pull that one off, tbh I would not put anything past him after what we have had so far. Also need a quality Finisher, but I'm led to believe another statement of intent will fill that void, can't wait to find out who tho, well that's today's rambling over, and I'm on to my next signing wish now lol😂😂😂😂😂.

Barrie is most certainly good enough when you consider who has been playing in his position. His confidence must be shot to pieces at not even making the Forest squad. I was talking to a Forest fan the other week who thought he had been playing well and was suddenly axed by the new manager when there were four or five others who shoukd have been dropped first. Obviously the new guy's plan worked as they have been rank for weeks after looking a good bet to make the playoffs. I've always thought Barrie was a very good player who, with the right manager, would sparkle. I even remember Rodgers singling him out for special praise after he had ripped Lustig a new one during an OF game. Wingers are typically inconsistent. I remember the great Davie Cooper having some stinkers during his career. Barrie definitely worth a punt imo
