On a portugese twitter page it was saying Rangers had offered Portuguese left back / winger Eliseu a 2 year deal and it was sure to happen. Out of contract in june, 33 years old but a very good player, obviously its only a twitter page and can never tell how much truth there is in it, but just thought i'd share what I read.

TrueBlue94

1.) 20 May 2017 16:45:21
I would love to have him he also a current Portuguese international

2.) 21 May 2017 08:35:38
Guy was playing for benfica last night got scudded of bovista haha no thanks

3.) 21 May 2017 10:02:42
We got wallace and beerman that's quite sufficient for next season we should be concentrating on other areas of the pitch with the money we have got that was complete shambles,

4.) 21 May 2017 11:51:15
The problem with all of our fullbacks, (with the exception of the Ulster lad), is that while they are very good going forward they are poor defensively and ideally we need a Point type that can defend. Unfortunately Hodson is poor in attack and is limited defensively.

5.) 21 May 2017 17:49:49
That particular rumour was started by a Celtic fan.

6.) 21 May 2017 18:01:11
Does he speak Brazilian or Portugese? lol HH

7.) 22 May 2017 12:40:38
rangers don't need to look at fullback for me as next season we will see a style of play which isn't mark warburtons style and i'm sure our fullbacks are good enough although patterson would be a good player to bring compitition to that posistion.

27 Apr 2017 13:06:44
In my eyes our realistic British transfer targets:

Christoph Berra (On a free)
Graham Dorrans
Kenny McLean
Naismith, Cummings, Moult (2 of the 3)

Plus 1 or 2 from the foreign market and a few loan deals for young players from your Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City type teams.

If we manage this we will be looking in considerably better shape as a team.

TrueBlue94

1.) 27 Apr 2017 13:28:03
Berra isn't leaving Ipswich, we have already been told that.

Dorrans - Possibility
Kenny McLean - Possibility
Naismith - 2 years to run on his contract and was bought for a large sum recently - NO GO.
Cummings - Too much baggage and too expensive.
Moult - Possibility.

2.) 27 Apr 2017 17:04:13
Don't think Naismith would be cheap
Dorrans I think would demand quite a high wage although i do think he would be a great player
And although I think Cummings is a good player personally I do t like his attitude, I like players with a bit of arrogance but I think his is a negative one and could cause trouble

3.) 27 Apr 2017 18:20:42
Dorrans is rangers daft and at 29 this is his last big move. Surely he won't pass the chance to lower his wages and pull on the royal blue. I'd have moult as he scored more than any of our current strikers, chris cadden from the well too is a pacey winger with good delivery and worked with jj at the well before

4.) 27 Apr 2017 18:34:40
Dorrans and lafferty for me are no brainers these two alone would bring much need grit and quality too out team then young McLean, Weiss and two centre backs would make us far better anyone after that is a bonus

Getting rid off kiernan Halliday garner waghorn (hard done by but just not making the cut) McKay if wee get over 1.5 million for him and hill only if we can definitely get two good centre backs plus the two loan guys leaving should free up enough wages for all this.

5.) 27 Apr 2017 19:04:25
Imo no to Naismith. Plus even I go on about getting players from Man Utd etc BUT there is one guy from West Ham called Samuelsen who's a real talent and Caixinha must have contacts and info about players from previous countrys he's worked and poss Clubs in Spain/ Portugal.

so looking forward to it plus this job as others really show what the Manager is all about! Managers who have £20-30m to spend immediately is great but here's hoping Pedro has an eye and the Contacts and having Mendes can't be a bad thing.

6.) 27 Apr 2017 22:39:14
Nasmith is not and never will be welcome back at jbrox can't even believe people are mentioning him lafferty as well

7.) 28 Apr 2017 09:23:58
Gannet10 are you for real not and never welcome back it's time for you and others who think like you to get real your holding the club back

8.) 28 Apr 2017 11:13:30
Lafferty can rot. Naismith can too wasn't long ago he was claiming to be a killie man down John funniest street watching killie bring home the Scottish cup. Moves to the gers and it's the team he's always supported the boys a snake

9.) 29 apr 2017 12:11:25
agree 100 percent g4rry people like gannett need to grow up!

such imaturity on this site and if your anything other than adolesant then u should be embarrassed with yourselves!

the guys that left where at the peak of their career and i don't blame them for not wanting to go to the duldrums that we where being sent to and people like gannett can't grasp the fact they have worked hard to get to where they are so why should they go down with a sinking ship i and most other rational minded people would have done the same.

plus naisy is far far far better than what we have and i would take anyone that improves our quality.

laffetry for me can't get a game where he is so i don't understand why people think he is the answer?

15 Feb 2017 15:12:45
Sky saying that we are linked with former Liverpool and Valencia assisstant Pako Ayestaran as our potential new manager, don't really like the sound of this one. Last managed a Malaysian premier league team.

TrueBlue94

1.) 16 Feb 2017 06:19:23
Apparently a very good coach not a manager. Maybe that's why they are looking at a director of football to deal with all the paperwork and let the coach do his job

I'd take Billy Sharp from Sheffeild United in a heartbeat right know. yes he's 31, but also the top scorer across England's 4 leagues! Out of contract at the end of the season, and affordable.

TrueBlue94

1.) 17 Apr 2017 16:29:26
We need a striker who is sharp in the box and billy fits the bill.

2.) 17 Apr 2017 17:31:56
Some Rangers supporters slaughtered MW for bringing in lower league players from England, now you want one from Sheffield United? make your minds up!

3.) 17 Apr 2017 18:33:24
Not saying we should or shouldn't sign him, but surely you can see the difference between Billy Sharp and the players MW signed from the English lower leagues, dth100? No comparison.

4.) 18 Apr 2017 10:13:57
Billy Sharp is at least 30 and is hardly exactly mobile.

5.) 18 Apr 2017 10:16:47
One striker I would love us to sign is kaspar dolberg, but I think we would have to sell our full squad to afford half his fee lol.

6.) 18 Apr 2017 10:45:33
I would give nile RANGER a chance at the gers an goalie rossbach from odd

7.) 18 Apr 2017 11:22:36
Nile Ranger is an absolute trouble-making head banger! wouldn't want him anywhere near our team! he has a tattoo inside his mouth!

The big goalie Rossbach is a good keeper but I actually think Wes deserves his place in the team, by far one of our most consistent performers

8.) 18 Apr 2017 13:19:08
Nile ranger what a waste of space he is

9.) 18 Apr 2017 14:28:25
Wes, Kelly and mcrorie should be our keepers next season.

10.) 18 Apr 2017 22:41:19
wes is a brilliant keeper and will be better if we can get a good defence in this season that and a striker should be our focus as i think if the team is defending better and scoring more the players we already have will pick up their game i. e. barry mckay! (hopefully)

i hope the manager sees that cb's and a striker are a must if he doesn't bring in better quality rather than quantity we will fall even further behind that manky mob across the city

11.) 19 Apr 2017 14:33:32
I know its all about opinions guys but how anyone can question Big Wes' quality is beyond me. If it wasn't for him we'd have dropped far more points than we have

13 apr 2017 17:52:34
wondering if we should maybe look into the possibility of snatching a few players from the teams who look destined to be relegated to the championship at the end of the season, what's your thoughts on some of these guys?

John o'shea
Lee cattermole
Jordan rhodes
Sebastian larsson
Victor anichebe

(all out of contract in june)

i'll admit some of these guys would be much more difficult to acquire than others due to wages etc but i think this is an avenue we should explore to bring in some good quality players that would allow us to compete next season, some of these guys could rather come to come to a big team like rangers than play in the championship.

TrueBlue94

1.) 13 Apr 2017 18:37:36
no offense, but there's a reason why these players are going down.
I think the club are hugely capable of aiming way higher in terms of quality players

2.) 13 Apr 2017 19:22:09
Did rhodes not sign for sheffield wednesday?

3.) 13 Apr 2017 19:24:59
Did rhodes not just move in jan from boro for like 9 million?

4.) 13 Apr 2017 19:26:03
Well out of our budget. Any player dropping from the premier league to championship will command at least 30k a week in wages. Jordan rhodes is valued at 9 million for example.

5.) 13 Apr 2017 20:02:55
I would take everyone of they players as true blue says they would help us to challenge as they have played at a decent level but again wages is the stumbling block.

6.) 13 Apr 2017 20:26:17
We need to produce our own, not a chance could we pay the wages. We need to get real.

7.) 13 Apr 2017 20:37:36
Everyone of them players would walk into our team. We're you not on earlier on ajax talking about some aussie that no one has ever heard off! I would hazard a guess that Rhodes and anichebe are better strikers than the aussie.

8.) 13 Apr 2017 21:18:13
hooly78, true but the aussie has scored more goals in 2 seasons than Anichebe has manage until this day. Do we really want to go for a player that would scored even less than Garner at a 20 to 30k weekly. As for Rhodes he is a pretty good striker, if he's determine to come with a decent wage why not!

9.) 13 Apr 2017 22:32:08
Lee cattermole is exactly the type of midfielder we're needing at rangers, without a shadow of a doubt! I would have him first and foremost, if only! Jordan rhodes would be next on my list from those players!

10.) 13 Apr 2017 22:39:03
Will Buckley on a free.

11.) 13 Apr 2017 22:40:51
It doesn't mean because they play for a team that's going down that a certain individual is useless. for example would u say no to to Jermaine Defoe because he's rock bottom of the PL?

12.) 14 Apr 2017 10:34:45
Jordan Rhodes plays for Sheff Wed now does he not? He would score goals for fun up here tho!

Wouldnt touch Cattermole or Oshea with a bargepole though and I think Anichebe is too much of a gamble for the money he'd command with his injury problems.

Seb Larrson would be a great acquisition too

13.) 14 Apr 2017 14:11:48
It saddens me when people make ridiculous comments like this I expect more of a rangers fan . leave the delusional nonsense to the manky mob.

14.) 14 Apr 2017 16:39:08
O'shea is the wrong side of 30, Larsson is bang average, Cattermole has discipline issues, Anichebe has never delivered and Rhodes left boro in Jan for a hefty fee so no chance. This is only my opinion but I'd rather see us bring in some really good domestic players and a few gems from abroad who'll demand a fraction of a wage the afore mentioned players would.

06 Apr 2017 16:55:46
Would anyone else like to see John Fleck back at rangers? He's been here before knows what's its all about, still only 25, 16 goals in all competitions this season, a stand out player for Sheffield United! And most importantly, within our budget.

TrueBlue94

1.) 06 Apr 2017 19:22:22
Yes he's been doing really well this season think he would be a good addition

2.) 06 Apr 2017 19:39:03
Would be a good replacement for Hyndman.

3.) 06 Apr 2017 20:45:38
Yes and add Lewis McLeod and Jamie Ness too! The like of Bates and Beerman should have been blooded months ago by Warburton as should have Burt and Thompson. We have a decent goalscorer, Hardie, farmed out to Raith Rovers

4.) 06 Apr 2017 20:52:44
Yeah TrueBlue definetly. I think that he would smash it up here, always thought we needed a player like Flecked and by that I include his Stature and the guy can move so yeah think Flecked would be great up here!

5.) 06 Apr 2017 23:24:31
No chance he is mince Can't believe some people would be happy with that! people moaning saying we are shite yet come out with things like let's sign fleck, ness, Nickleson, jack, Hayes, Cummings and play young bates and beermen every game yeah let's do that that lot will take us to the title not!

6.) 07 Apr 2017 13:12:30
Fleck was dire with us before. He has reached nowhere near his potential. Only former player i would consider is aluko but he is too injury prone.

7.) 07 Apr 2017 13:57:37
If you don't rate Jason Cummings then it tells us all we need to know about your knowledge of football.

04 Jan 2017 12:02:36
If we are looking for another option at CB at the end of the season does anyone think Christophe Berra might be a good acquistion? Not sure about his wages but I believe he's under contract at Ipswich Town until June, so might even be a good pre-contract option.

TrueBlue94

1.) 04 Jan 2017 12:25:25
Good player but I think we need to sort out a winger and striker first.

2.) 04 Jan 2017 12:32:41
Completely agree, just a thought because we are no doubt going to lose Hill at the end of the season and Kiernan possibly before then if an offer comes in.

3.) 04 Jan 2017 13:27:51
Our weakest position is midfield where we are short of a holding midfield player and a defensive midfield player.
I am astonished that people still see the need for a centre back when, if we replaced Halliday we would strengthen both our midfield and our attacking options.

4.) 04 Jan 2017 13:54:16
Look at our goal difference and the main reason why we don't turn draws in to wins is because we do not covert chances

We need a proper goal scorer (20 plus per season if not two)

After that we need two quality centre halfs then a Defensive midfielder.

5.) 04 Jan 2017 15:06:51
If we get an out-and-out striker I doubt if MW would play him, he would not suit our style of play. How often this season was a good delivery into the opponents penalty-area wasted because no one is there. Mark Hateley and Derek Johnstone were excellent in the air but how many goals would they score a season from headers if they played in this system?

6.) 04 Jan 2017 17:24:10
Trueblue94, although its not top priority berra would be perfect candidate for CB played our league so no probs adapting and he is quality player I've said before on here berra is who I would b after for cb in summer.

7.) 04 Jan 2017 21:23:17
Of course i'm the first to admit that we need to sign possibly 2 midfielders and a striker this month, but there's one priority i think we should do this month, before anything else. Get barrie mckay tied down to a longterm deal with obviously better terms and a transfer fee clause inserted into the deal! This safeguards us against paltry bids for him which will inevitably happen, as he's only got 18 months left to run on his current contract! Eventually he'll sign for a big enough english club anyway but at least if we get him tied down, he'll leave on OUR terms and not for buttons!

28 Dec 2016 21:52:22
Far too much messing about with the ball at the back, same story all season! If you're under pressure get the ball lumped up the park. Started the game very well in my opinion and let the heads go down after conceding a goal, another thing we have been guilty of all season. Nowhere near good enough. And that rumoured £2million for Kiernan? Take it and run.

TrueBlue94

1.) 28 Dec 2016 21:54:51
I'll drive him down for free if we get half that!

2.) 28 Dec 2016 22:22:42
I really am sick of watching the same mediocrity disguised as a Rangers team! Tonight we played for 25 minutes, then nothing!
Against Hamilton we were poor but Waghorn saved the bacon. Against Inverness a draw would have been a fair resul.
Basic questions.
Why is Garner becoming a folk hero?
A £1.5 million striker who spends 95% of the game outside the box and doesn't score is a failure!
Rob Keirnan, utterly inept, should have been sent off and a penalty awarded to St Johnstone. Not, and never will be, good enough! If £2 million is offered grab it with both hands?
Windass, why did he finish the game, what does he offer? No quality on offer again tonight.
Halliday, plays with his heart, pity about the lack of ability with his head and feet.
Another folk hero because he was brought up on Copland Rd!
Mark Warburton, yet again totally failing in to influence the game in any way with tactical changes or substitutions.
Believe me I hope we pull off a shock win at the weekend, but my head says no way!
The players he has brought in together with his lack of impact as a manager suggest to me that a long, hard and impartial look is required at Warburton's future beyond the summer.
We won't win the SPL recruiting players from the English third tier to operate under a manager totally devoid of tactical nous!

3.) 28 Dec 2016 22:42:07
Couldn't have said it better myself.

4.) 29 Dec 2016 16:19:32
GMacd, you called it spot on.

Wallace could be brought back in at LB and Beerman moved up into the LW role as he can play as a winger as well, dropping Barry McKay as his performances of late have been very poor! Beerman and Wallace could link up well down the left hand side

Dont like the sound of it at all, he doesn't have experience managing big teams although he has been assistant at a few, he's managing a Qatari team just now for god sake! Unless its Frank De Boer I don't think we should be going for foreign managers, I fear another Paul Le Guen incident.

Waghorn was terrible when he came on against motherwell, I would go with a front 3 of Mackay, Miller and Dodoo.
