Joey Barton @ Loch Lomond playin golf with Kenny Miller today, hope he signs this contract soon man, he might be waiting to see if we get into Europe next season,

WhatATeam

1.) 15 May 2016 20:48:51
The same guy who broke the Barton story has also came out with the Danny Ings story, he seems to be spot on with every transfer were linked with.

2.) 15 May 2016 22:40:27
Exactly. I never said it was definitely going to happen, only a 'possibility' but who thought we'd sign Barton (which is looking likely) or even the Barton rumour to be true. Anything is possible under this management team (by possible I mean within means) .

Were Back In With 3rd Bid For MOH.

WhatATeam

1.) 01 Feb 2016 11:24:24
An apparent 500k bid. Surely that should do it.

2.) 01 Feb 2016 11:34:34
as I said at least one medical today maybe 2 with one player leaving.

3.) 01 Feb 2016 11:35:06
Hope so.

4.) 01 Feb 2016 11:41:14
According to the press association, a £500,000 bid has been put in. But there are several clauses attached.

5.) 01 Feb 2016 11:54:46
Yip, just read on MSN sport we have bid 500k subject to clauses, well its seems Waburton15th was informed indeed people!

6.) 01 Feb 2016 11:56:42
I also see Koeman has mentioned Harrison Reed could be allowed to leave on loan for the rest of the season, heres hoping a move to Glesga is on the cards, that would tie up our priority positions of stiker and DM.

7.) 01 Feb 2016 11:57:20
I Think We Will Get Him Tday Definitely.

8.) 01 Feb 2016 11:58:37
Both clubs agree a fee for O'Halloran. Deal done subject to medical According to a few Sources on Twitter.

9.) 01 Feb 2016 11:59:02
I seen that law could be used in the deal, personally want to keep hold of him. Been a great player this season despite a few games.

10.) 01 Feb 2016 12:04:25
On Stv page saying Law could b part of the deal.

11.) 01 Feb 2016 12:11:57
Maybe this news will quell the panic merchants. Not over the line yet but it must be close. Surely we can give the other lot a run for their money next year? Especially with the summer window to come.

12.) 01 Feb 2016 12:15:18
Seems all those bemoaning the Board, and Dave King could end up eating oodles of that stuff called humble pie.

13.) 01 Feb 2016 12:21:34
Great news hope this is true would be a great signing.

14.) 01 Feb 2016 12:26:12
Does anyone know what the clauses are?

15.) 01 Feb 2016 13:55:15
I for one will absolutely eat a very large slice of said humble pie and gladly so. Nothing like keeping us sweating and second guessing. And while we're on about it, although I suggested that MW may want to rethink his position due to lack of backing by the board, I am in no way an idiot, as one poster has intimated. I am passionate about my team pal, very passionate and like to think outside the box. So taking a breath before calling someone names might be a good idea, considering we are all Bears!

Welcome Michael, to the most successful and best team in the world.

16.) 01 Feb 2016 14:02:00
Nice Pie&Bovril, takes a bigger man and all that! well said.

17.) 01 Feb 2016 14:48:57
Cheers Scotty.

18.) 01 Feb 2016 15:38:44
Said like a true bear, pie and bovril. Glad your days been brightened up! Now there's a treble - King scores an injury time winner on Saturday, they are humped at Hampden on the Sunday and MOH signs on the dotted line on the Monday!

I think Barton has been suspended for 3 weeks because he was speaking publicly and on talksport about the situation, it says on the club website that neither party will make any further statement or comment on this issue, so i'm just wondering if its to see if he'l keep quiet about the situation now.

WhatATeam

1.) 19 Sep 2016 18:34:14
I think it's a joke he has been suspended for 3 weeks. Either sack are play him don't drag it out for another 3 weeks. I still think it's harsh there was no fisty cuffs and if he did say last year we were in rubbish league playing rubbish teams well he's not wrong.

2.) 19 Sep 2016 19:05:04
We can't afford to sack him and pay him off unfortunately.

3.) 19 Sep 2016 19:07:49
4 weeks out altogether, 4 weeks behind on his fitness. Barton is already behind regarding his fitness levels. Why is he suspended and not asked to train with the reserve team. I think we may of seen the last of Barton.

4.) 19 Sep 2016 19:18:37
I hope so.

5.) 19 Sep 2016 19:45:40
Thank god you don't own a company hooly you can't just sack some for abuse there are processes hence the suspension.

6.) 19 Sep 2016 20:01:06
My point ross is that I think it's harsh.

7.) 19 Sep 2016 20:27:32
The suspension is just about the normal for any company in total 4 weeks, everything has to be above board and fair on both sides, there will almost definately be contact and i'd be extremely suprised if jb talks about it unless he wants to seal his own fate publicly, its actually a really hard process to sack somebody or to get to the bottom of what happened and what warning/ dismaissal it deserves.

8.) 19 Sep 2016 20:15:28
here is my take on it for what its worth. Its clear to me players in the past have done much much worse on this occasion for eg players have slept with other players wives etc, been drunk, done drugs or even worse, yet this man says something out of turn and is suspended for 3 weeks.

This is practically unheard of in football and for me your club is praying that Barton steps out of line while suspended then he has no leg to stand on and u can get him on gross misconduct therefore sack him and u don't have to pay him.
Otherwise if u want rid u will have to pay his contract and u definitely don't want that.

9.) 19 Sep 2016 20:45:38
RossW1995

Your are absolutely right mate this isn't the 70s anymore, as you say there are procedures in place when disciplining people. It will be interesting to see if the club are going through this route which could prove costly.

10.) 19 Sep 2016 22:16:40
I trust the manager and his team Barton has done nothing Abe he came genre but shout his mouth off get rid of him and bring in somebody else might even get two players for his wages.

11.) 19 Sep 2016 22:07:54
What's the chances of him staying tight lipped for 3 weeks when he has a book coming out lol I'd say no chance then he has broken another promise and rules.

12.) 20 Sep 2016 02:06:13
The last thing we need is an industrial tribunal for unfair dismissal and all the goings on coming out in the media, (which they would just love) .

I really don't think that we look too clever in this episode. Two players apparently have a go at one another, the Manager gets involved and ends up in the argument. They are grown men, why not let them battle it out. Barton was clearly unhappy with the way the team was playing, (himself included) . It would appear that Halliday couldn't take the criticism and either all hell broke loose or it was handbags at 10 paces.

Sorry but this sort of thing just wouldn't have happened when Souness or Smith was manager and when we had a proper captain at the club!

18 Sep 2016 21:04:18
I don't want Barton to leave if he's said something very truthful in the dressing room man, i know he's been poor recently but its really annoyin me tbh that we're still in the dark about exactly what was said, there's far too many different storys of what happened, i just want to know the truth and then judge after that.

WhatATeam

1.) 18 Sep 2016 22:53:30
The one person that wants him to leave is Halliday because he reckons that he will then get the jersey. Does he not realise that Rossiter, Forrester, Crooks, Holt and no doubt more are significantly better players or, being the big Rangers man that he is, will he accept that he is lucky to be a squad player!

2.) 19 Sep 2016 08:33:58
none of them bar holt has done anything in a rangers jersey, halliday was a star player this year and deserves far more respect than he is given. every player at ibrox deserves respect.

04 Sep 2016 11:37:34
I think MW will be silly to throw out a different team from the one that was out against Linfield, i thought the point of the friendly was to get match fitness and sharpness for the old firm game, i hope he keeps pretty much the same squad against that mob, i'm hoping he doesn't play Barton, Rossiter and Halliday in middle, n i hope big No Senderos gets in the starting line up.

WhatATeam

1.) 04 Sep 2016 12:11:51
Barton, Rossiter and Halliday in middle at the same time i ment people.

2.) 04 Sep 2016 12:12:10
If we have those 3 in midfield then we're done for. I hope MW is brave and plays Barton sitting and Windass and Forester to pick holes in them. Playing with 3 defensive minded midfield players is the reason why we are so slow going fwd and miss the guile to pick open the opposition defence.

3.) 04 Sep 2016 14:28:12
While I reckon that Rossiter is our best young midfield player I would have to go with Barton for this game but while I reckon that Warburton will go with Halliday I would rather have Holt there and Kranjcar would be my other of the three, at least to start.

4.) 04 Sep 2016 15:39:12
Barton and krankjar in the midfield would be suicide Tom.

5.) 04 Sep 2016 15:37:20
Holt is not fit so won't play
Warbs has a tough week ahead of him so do we as fans but if he picks the right team we will win.

6.) 04 sep 2016 16:18:56
teams now expect us to play the passing game and keep possession. i think we should surprise celtic and be more direct with speed, involving ohalloran, windass and mckay to be more positive. remember the lad scored a screamer against celtic. i think with more direct play we can win this.

7.) 04 Sep 2016 16:24:13
After watching yesterday's game (albeit against average opposition) I think MOH must start. He looked involved in everything good. I also hope there's a place for Windass even if from the bench.
I'm a lot more confident than I was that's for sure.

8.) 04 Sep 2016 17:26:32
Gilks
Tav Senderos Keirnan Wallace
Barton
Forester Windass
O'Halloran McKay
miller

I hope we start with this team or something like it.

9.) 04 Sep 2016 18:52:18
I can't wait until Saturday let's get confident and support our team. That lot ain't that good all we need is the will to want it more. c'mon the gers.

10.) 04 Sep 2016 20:08:20
Let's see how Celtic cope under Rodgers if we do win next week, he was talking them up as favourites today. He will never have seen anything like it if we beat them on their own patch, there'd be an outcry.

11.) 05 Sep 2016 07:22:18
Recbob, Totally agree with both of your posts, the players you mention [ O'Halloran and Windass. ] offer a different dimension to our attacking options.
As far as Rodgers is concerned, nothing will have prepared him for defeat in this game.
We have a big task on Saturday, but like yourself, I have a wee notion that we will triumph 2-1, with MOH scoring the winner.

12.) 05 Sep 2016 10:40:51
I hope your prediction is right Billy. If Rodgers thought the reaction to the imps disaster was bad he ain't seen nothing yet. To come out and say they were justifiably favourites could come back to bite him, the media will not let him forget that. I think Celtic's over confidence will be the undoing of them, same as last year. I personally would start with both Windass and MOH and get at them from the start with pace. Can always bring players on later to shore it up if we are ahead.
I much prefer MW's quiet and modest approach to these games, let the team do the talking! Two weeks ago after the Kilmarnock game I was worried but seeing Senderos, Windass and MOH performing well against Linfield has filled me with a quiet confidence. This will be the game that really starts out season.

13.) 05 Sep 2016 14:09:11
I aslo hope you are right billy but i'd be happy with a draw from that place.

25 Aug 2016 20:52:36
Senderos currently undergoing medical, hopefully signs tonight or tomorrow before Killie game.

WhatATeam

1.) 25 Aug 2016 22:10:38
Some of our supporters need to have a reality check with there current negativity regarding our possible signing of swiss international centre half philippe senderos, trust our manager and git right behind the club! Senderos will be a good signing for us especially in scottish football, he's still only 31 years old and if fit he's exactly the type of centre half we've been crying out for since warbs and sir davie became our management team over a year ago now, Some supporters you can just never please, I honestly wish they'd get behind senderos as it now looks likely we're signing him and wait and see how he plays for us before jumping the gun and already putting the guy down.

2.) 25 Aug 2016 22:53:55
Agree with a lot of that mate, especially the neg posters. its looking like senderos and no matter What we have to get behind the team. i think he will prove people wrong but as long as he contributes to a great season then so be it.

For where we are right now we have had a great window. we have had some cracking players sign for us and now i believe we are READY.

For me, its a great feelin to be a rangers man, more so now than ever.

3.) 25 Aug 2016 23:16:34
Excellent post. Fans living in the wild, expecting a top class defender for pennies. He's signs, we support him. end of.

31 Jul 2016 22:57:12
Cant believe there's people out there slaughtering Kranjcar's performance against Burnley, 1st of all it was a friendly, secondly he's still not 100% match fit, give the guy time people he will be amazin once he's fully fit, wasnt long ago he was playin against Motherwell and people thought he was a superhero, onwards and upwards People,

WhatATeam

1.) 31 Jul 2016 23:30:44
mate there are people on here would rather we were shite just so they can moan the best of it is the most of them have probably never kicked a ball themselves just playing with their baws.

2.) 01 Aug 2016 00:15:33
Well said Gary.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 07:13:19
Gary75

I think most who criticise on here have valid points. Surely you can't be happy with the central defensive partnership and recognise the need for another striker? As for your comment about never having kicked a ball bit of a sweeping statement with no real basis of fact. I take it you had a career as a top player?

4.) 01 Aug 2016 13:41:43
I have to say I think niko will prove to be one of our best players him and McKay this season as long as he stays fit!

5.) 01 Aug 2016 16:14:27
It's obvious that Krancjar is a superstar but it's also obvious that he is a little bit of a luxury player who happened to be poor in last game. Surely it's fair to criticise a performance of a player when justified?
For the record I think he needs Barton and Rossiter in behind to do the doggy work to let him concentrate on setting up chances and smashing them into top bin from edge of the box, he wasn't the only 1 who was poor in friendly match far from it but it was only a friendly and the right time to get a wee kick up the RS for us and hopefully it helps King to loosen purse strings for a new Centre Half as that has to be the priority.

6.) 02 Aug 2016 18:36:38
Agree with benny team is think the hat will go with that.

Copland w've no let Murdoch go to free up wages mate, he clearly wasnt good enuf for Warbs and its the summer transfer window after all, so its obvi best for the player to leave if MW doesn't have him in his plans, good luck to the boy though.

Utterly disappointing result today btw, MW has had far too many chances to make it right, yet he still sticks with same old formation, he should be banned from using 433 formation honestly, we need an extra man in middle of park not up front, and with 3 up front were still struggling to score as the goal difference for speaks for itself, so shocking btw.

Really not against Warbs but i really think he needs to just stop being so stubborn and change formation when needed, 3 up front with a central striker is not what were wanting, we need to up front and we would have an extra man in middle of park.
