Just heard on Radio Clyde tonight that a requisition has supposedly been handed into Ibrox tonight requesting an EGM, waiting for Rangers to confirm it.

Wullie

1.) Dave king has called for it.

Sadly we were not good enough last night, yes we had lots of the ball but we were too slow in moving it, we had lots of corners and crosses into the box however the quality of the crosses was very poor. Until Boyd came on we had no threat up front.

I believe this tie is still alive, I would go with 3 at the back and play Boyd up front with Miller to get more of a presence in the box at crosses and corners.

An optimistic post when all senses say it's done and dusted.
I agree we need changes and the same old, same old won't beat Motherwell by 3 goals on Sunday. Might as well go down with all guns blazing and 4 or 5 changes to the starting 11. Fresh legs and speed needed.

2.) 29 May 2015 13:12:19
Kfraser

Who would you bring in?

3.) 29 May 2015 14:02:14
@ Stewie G, Walsh for Sheils, Boyd for Clark, Ferguson for Wallace, Mohsni for McGregor and Black ( he's got to be a reasonable bet being rested )for a tired Law. A right back would be good too after last night.

21 May 2015 09:38:45
Great result last night and what a fantastic atmosphere, Ibrox was rocking again.

Andy Murdoch is growing as a player with every game, brilliant.

I can't believe Boyd gets anywhere near the pitch, totally and utterly useless. he should not even be listed as a substitute for the remaining games. The Hibs defense couldn't believe the time and space they got when Miller and Clark went off.

Hopefully now we will stop hearing fans on here shouting for Boyd to start games.

from big wullie to wullie correct lazy bigheided and non trier unless it suits him

2.) 21 May 2015 10:42:44
Aye Wullie, I thought McCall had slipped up when he put Boyd on. Not his type of game where he has to plough a lone furrow up top. It all went well in the end though. Looking forward to taking on Motherwell!

3.) 21 May 2015 12:00:20
To be fair to Boyd when he came on he was running about more than I have ever seen him do before. He was brought on as a lone striker which obviously isn't what suits him but I Thought he did well tracking back and cutting off passing lines by himself. Also he was good to have in our box defending corners

4.) 21 May 2015 12:49:33
Boyds not the type of striker to come on and chase the ball you would think you would know that by now.
So it's moan about Kris Boyd week last week was mcculloch before that moshni before that Wallace now Boyd.
Nicky law gave the ball away religiously last night but you will moan about a poacher who play 15 mins for not running around like Kenny Miller lol.

You lot moan about Clark and Miller never being upfront and always out position yet chastise boyd.

5.) 21 May 2015 13:12:47
Boyd was brought on for his presence in OUR box. He wasn't brought on to chase lost causes in their half! He won a couple of headers in our box when we were being bombarded with corners. Give the guy a break, he's clearly not sharp but can still play a big part.

6.) 21 May 2015 19:05:24
it was not last nights performance I was complaing about it is over a period of time

7.) 22 May 2015 22:20:31
I agree about Murdoch. He did well again on Wednesday. He's turning into a right good player. He seems to be able to read the game well and is good at making space and finding a pass. Hope we hang onto him for a while

I can't believe what I read on here anymore, for the past few years all we heard was Ally Out, McDowall Out, Green Out, Ashley Out, Lambias Out, Leach Out, Somers Out, Easedales Out, Whyte Out to name a few.

Thankfully all these guys are gone with the exception of Ashley with a new board in for only 1 month and a new manager bringing fresh ideas and signs of improvement to the team yet this is still not enough, What do some people actually want, always negative?

Give these guys a chance, what did you expect in first month? we were told this would not be a quick fix. We are now beginning to find out the extent of some of the contracts and deals done by old board and Ashley and these can't simply be ripped up. Maybe some people would have been happy for the old regime and Ashley still to be pulling the strings then we would not have had a club at all to follow?

The new board have told us more in 1 month than the old board did in last 4 years. The new board are planning for next 5-7 years and beyond, did the old board do this, NO. Start supporting these guys and help get our club back to where we belong, we have been the laughing stock of Scottish Football for too long.

1.) 02 Apr 2015 10:28:41
totally agree some of posters jist don't know what they want or when they want it there must be time given to new board and manager s macall has made a tremendous difference in a short time football is now enjoyable I am now looking forward to hearts game

2.) 02 Apr 2015 10:46:28
True. Sick of the boom and bust attitude. Long term planning is a good structure for any Buisness but it is hard love . The proof is in the pudding , enquiries for season tickets up already. I have said before and I stand by it, I am very enthusiastic for the future.

3.) 02 Apr 2015 11:15:03
Agree you have been put thru the mill thses past few years but I agree that you must all give the new Board time. They will soon reveal, if the law allows, who owns the deeds of your ground and put everyones mind at rest. Until supporters can be sure that it is safe to invest in the Club again you will always have your doubters and this will effect your attendance figures. The new Board need to put you supporters fully in the picture. Divana has started very well. Hail Hail

4.) 02 Apr 2015 12:29:00
They had three years to make this plan, they have had time, and they have done nothing, and there is no plan.

When are people going to wake up to the fact that the burning nagging sensation you feel is that of being shafted. Again.

5.) 02 Apr 2015 12:46:03
SACK THE BOARD! Lol only joking.

6.) 02 Apr 2015 13:19:54
Does it really burn when you are being shafted ex-pat?
Who am I to judge?Its 2015 after all,each his own I say.

7.) 02 Apr 2015 13:35:05
At long last rangers seem to be moving in the right direction on and off the pitch, I would like to see pressure put on Ashley, McCoist etc to stop bleeding us dry, but if we must pay them it will be worth it in the long run to get these crooks away from our club.
Whether McCall is manager next season or not at least he was appointed for football reasons unlike his predecessor by a board that want the best for Rangers unlike their predecessors. Although we still have a long way to go we are at long last on the road to recovery, a few decent signings in the summer and a top half finish assuming we go up to the SPL, or a league win if we don't and the whole McCoist fiasco will be a fading memory.

8.) 02 Apr 2015 18:04:50
Thankfully, I have never been shafted, my Annus horriblus has never been Luke warm, never mind burning.

9.) 02 Apr 2015 21:10:49
Come on guys give the board a break we don't know what there uncovering daily, I believe in them , you no the old saying ( Larkhall wasn't built in a day ) follow follow

10.) 02 Apr 2015 22:44:36
the board will get time from me but what I am wee bit dispointed about is david king sayed he would invest 20 30 million when he sayed this there was no mention off phasing it out over so many years the club could do with this sort of lump sum upfront to fix all the things like scouting coaches stadium players and other areas in the club that need desperate cash injected straight away not over years quite a few fans seem to still be staying away
to get these fans back you need get them beleiving in there team again and you ain't going get them excitied phasing it over years I look forward to them dealing with ashley and hopefully they get some big investers behind them that can afford a lump sum
deposit of cash to invest in the club

So Sandy Easedale increases his shares and voting powers to 26%, evidence that this board and Ashley are not going anywhere. I'm beginning to fear the worst for our club, I feel the EGM will not be granted or if it does go ahead the current board and Ashley will still have majority of votes keeping them at the club. Kenny McDowall also resigning, say what you like about his managerial skills he is a Rangers man with the club at heart.

WHAT NEXT?????

Wullie

1.) 20 Jan 2015 09:41:58
King has allegedly called them" dead men walking"it looks like its going to be won or lost by a baw hair.

2.) What I don't understand is who would sell their shares for a Penny each to Ronnie and Reggie sleazdale when they could have got way much more on the open market and more to the point WHY.

looks like some of the faceless regime backers are beginning to panic.

i think if King gets his way we should brace ourselves for some real shocks when he gets to look under the hood of Rangers

3.) 20 Jan 2015 09:59:12
hi toon fan here I just hope for rangers sake ashley don't get his own way .the blokes a fat cockney *****

4.) Lochaber - Easdale did not buy 1m shares @ 1p each!!

He bought 1m 1p ordinary shares, there is a huge difference

JG

5.) 20 Jan 2015 10:38:52
I hope King Park etc try and snap up another 5 percent between them.I don't trust most of these institutional investors.I think they might be afraid to vote against Ashley when it comes to it for fear of retribution from him.I read he has been known to bury people who go up against him in these circumstances.

6.) OP?

King stated yesterday that he has done his homework regarding shareholders voting and is of the opinion that he would win the vote. I think that is why 'The Bored' is trying to get DK's request vetoed by Stock Exchange under unfit to govern rules. However DK has countered by stating that he has the information to persuade the Stock Exchange; SPF and The SFA on previous ongoings at Rangers.

7.) Go I don't think it matters what the easdales or fat mike does, mr king has over 52p/c that leaves 48p/c. Of the 48p/c there are 18p/c sitting dormant at ibrox for next share holding, so from what I see the board and Ashley combined have max 30p/c, they can't buy more than they have, maybe they can buy peoples shares, but if mr king has 52p/c it's game shot and match to mr king and the three bears, now let's see under the bun net, and get a look at that retail contract.

8.) 20 Jan 2015 11:57:30
JG:This is your dept mate,do you know if 100 per cent of the shares are in circulation? If not, do you know the percentage unaccounted for?Cheers.

9.) FFS, has he got an undertakers business as well? The guy has his fingers in every pie going.

10.) 20 Jan 2015 13:05:44
Just read on tv that easedale bought these shares from a company that he holds proxy for so it does not increase his overall vote.
r. f

11.) It is going to be interesting to see just who is prepared to put up the big money for share trading over the next 39 days till the EGM.
King and Bears have an advantage over ashley he cannot directly buy any more shares they can!
Surely the wise thing to do at the most important stage in our history (this vote is the end game) would be to offer whatever any of the institutional investors want, they are in it for money only. River and Mercantile announced yesterday they were not happy with current running of things leading to vast undervaluing of Rangers FC so buy them out at 50p a share if that is what t take.
King has already dealt with both River & Mercantile plus Artemis.
These 2 institutional investors still hold 5. 77 (R&M) and 5. 26 (Artemis).
King having already dealt with both in an amicable and shrewd business move, should I think pull out the stops to offer them whatever it takes to sell this 11. 03% share holding it GUARANTEES him 45% of all shares teamed with the 3 Bears meaning only 6% needed which taking into account Rangers minded 'people' own well over 10% GUARANTEES them a victory in the EGM.
My personal feeling is that Dave King bought EXACTLY the amount of shares he has calculated that he needed with the current voting indications (please mind that the people voting on the King/3 Bears side are very clear votes due to hatred of current board) it is the only thing that makes sense as to why he bought that percentage from R&M and Artemis.
Regardless I think that this vote is so massive to save our club from a future or leasing Ibrox from Ashley which is his long term plan, that I think King should remove any doubts by buying the remaining shares from these two investors, they would sell for 50p a share and Rangers would be a King and Bears led boardroom!
Remember this the Blue Knights pissed about with their offer which allowed Green in the door please do not make the same mistake to save a few pounds Mr King

RTID BOARD OUT ASHLEY TOTAL BOYCOTT

12.) Gkk
what I do know is

There are 81. 4M shares issued in RIFC
There are 17. 5% not in public hands
The total votes counted (for, against and not used) for each resolution at the recent AGM was 63.8m or 79% of the total 81. 4M
The combined total for the main shareholders who have declared over 3% is 77. 51%
Based on the total votes of the AGM then the votes of 40% of all shareholders should carry a resolution at an EGM
King has 14. 57%
Three bears have 19. 49%
Easdale has proxy for 26%
Ashley has 8. 92%

What I don’t know is

Where are the 17. 5% not in public hands and can they be used at an EGM
Where are the other 3. 5% of shares (79% AGM votes plus 17. 5% not in public hands is only 96. 5%)
Will 3 bears vote with King at the EGM
Will the required 5% of other shareholders vote with King and the 3 bears at the EGM

Hope that helps some M8
JG

13.) 20 Jan 2015 17:01:12
JG :Cheers mate, clears a bit up for me.
@9 Just noticed that pal,superb.

14.) Gkk looking at it again, the 3. 5% was probably shares that were being held by brokers at the time of the AGM and could be bought up since then, Magath for example just bought 1% and think rst and first bought some more shares lately

If we consider that, then I reckon 41. 75% of all shareholders votes will swing the EGM

JG

15.) I am George, I think mr king bought some shares from r, m and arm, because both these shareholder would be thinking that once mr king gets control the share price will eventually rise, so both sh mentioned will still see a pay of when and if they eventually sell.

16.) Gkk I don't imagine it will be close, ime predicting more of a land slide, and the board know it, maybe the reason for sleds dale buying more shares today was so as he will get a bigger pay day when he sells up, I also know that with 26p/c he could block a lot of votes in future that's why we should boycott his taxi and bus service, the only way to get them out is to boycott there places, that includes sports direct, we should call it sports undirected lol.

17.) Other george

Yes amigo you are correct I think that explains why the percentages were so exact they have agree a seal in 'principle' so King knows what his total support is to win EGM and saving him using valuable investment in Rangers money and as you say increasing the share value for R&M and Artemis.

My figures on logical support we have a minimum of 55% and the fact Scott Murdoch and King are SO confident tells me that is the case. Why else would the board be trying everything they can to block the EGM.

I think Warburton will have better options than us from clubs down south, The one thing I like about McCall is he has come in and played youth players and believe he would give more youths a chance next season.

Wullie

{Ed001's Note - Warburton certainly has offers on the table, I suppose it depends on what he wants. I just wonder if he would be looking to continue working with McParland, that might be the deal maker, getting his signature on board.}

If this turns out to be true then I can't blame the lad, he is a good young Goalkeeper. We should be looking after our young players as they are our future. Even our young payers seem to realise they won't get a chance under McCoist. Best of luck to the lad whatever happens.

Stewie, we should have 2 plans and 2 budgets in place by now. 1 for the Premiership and 1 for the Championship however we can't have that until the Managers position is sorted so he can plan moving forward. We should not be waiting until the summer to put the planning in place, no other club works this way.

I agree john Brown and Nacho Novo both done great work during the protests against the old regime however that does not give them great credentials to be good coaches at MP, I would definitely keep Durie as he done some great work with the younger kids last year.

Totally agree, I know emotions are running hard at the moment amongst fans but surely we can manage to stage a peaceful protest against the board, simply no excuses I'm afraid.

As it turns out more focus and discussions have been put on the fans last night rather than on the board and Mike Ashley, not the outcome we had set out to accomplish.

C'mon guys stick together but please let's do things correctly, why would we as fans want to throw barriers or force our way into our own Stadium while staff inside were frightened for their own safety.

Some fans should be ashamed this morning, they should grow up and act as adults, if we do this we will get the results we are looking for and have our club back and gain the respect of others in the process.

Wullie

Totally agree we need urgent funds but why only Ashley? Plenty other offers out there with less risk to securities however board won't even look at them, Why not? The board told us Ibrox and MP would never be given as securities whilst knowing this was the plan.

I believe this is also a ploy to put pressure on SFA to allow Ashley to up his control stakes in return for him supposedly saving the club from financial meltdown.
