I broke the news about Danny WIlson's agent touting him to MLS teams twice earlier in the season. I'm hearing the club are unhappy about how actively his agent is pursuing an exit. I guess he's only doing his job but I'd like to see the big man stay! He's been great this season and will only get better as he continues to grow.

bobbybeag

1.) 25 Jan 2018 02:31:12
He’s been decent of late but ultimately he’s not good enough in my opinion. Good squad player definitely, but he is often caught out, all over the shop against Kilmarnock recently.

Played well in the Old Firm game and has chipped in with his fair share of goals! Like I said, great back up CB but I think we need better in the starting 11 to catch Celtic in the coming seasons.

2.) 25 Jan 2018 04:53:05
Fair assessment, can't argue with that. Thought Martin and Bates were brilliant tonight. I think Wilson can still prosper at Ibrox but if he chooses to move on we've got Bates, McCrorie, Alves and Cordoso to come in. Its just whichever one fits with Martin best. Bates certainly making himself difficult to drop after Celtic/ Aberdeen displays. More of the same please. Competition for places allover the park.

3.) 25 Jan 2018 08:17:19
I genuinely don't want to see Wilson go would rather Cardoso or Bruno Alves left

4.) 25 Jan 2018 08:48:25
if he wants to go then let him. from what I've seen of bates and mcrorie they have a big future in the game. get them tied up on long term deals and let them for a good partnership.

5.) 25 Jan 2018 09:43:42
Wilson is still young and will continue to improve did he not say before Christmas that he wants to stay a bear for life and is all this talk of America his agents way of getting Wilson a longer improved contract and wee bonus for the agent

6.) 25 Jan 2018 10:46:16
Bigandy exactly, that's more of what I was getting at, Wilson is a decent player, but no more than that, if he would rather leave for the MLS than play for Rangers then move aside and let somebody else fill those boots.

He's had the captains armband recently as well remember, you have to wonder why he' all of a sudden been completely dropped from the squad last night, he obviously wants away.

7.) 25 Jan 2018 11:30:51
He might be part of the £70m swindle you mentioned bear Mode.

8.) 25 Jan 2018 12:48:42
Hahahahaha Mull still fizzing days after I had the audacity to question his doom and gloom claims about our finances.

You have a good day mate.

9.) 25 Jan 2018 13:39:22
We are still waiting bear Mode put up your information on this £70m swindle or withdraw it. You have a good day too mate trying to explain your theory.
All the best with that from the sex pistol rangers supporters club LOL

10.) 25 Jan 2018 14:04:21
What is it you want explained? 70m was spent during Charles Green's time at the club and there was nothing to show for it.

Can I ask what your game is Isle of mull? Is there any reason for when people try to discuss players or just general chat about the club you need to continually bring up the finances and put people down?

11.) 25 Jan 2018 17:23:36
Come on bear Mode you say the green and Stockbridge ripped us off for £70m now it's £70m was wasted during their tenure. Explain, C Green was only there for 11 months but wasted £70m. Remember how this started I just said Hamilton had been ripped off for the best part of a million but survived that, could we if it happened on the same scale someone ripping us off for £40m (I'm saying we are 40 times bigger) . The reason I'm so interested in our accounts is I couldn't go through again what happened 6 years ago and we have to be vigilant bear Mode. Hope you agree with that mate

12.) 25 Jan 2018 17:39:16
the whole town of hamilton is not worth 40 million never mind hamilton fc

13.) 25 Jan 2018 18:01:03
Mull, u my friend are just being a bit Pedantic aren't U? You Know He Meant We Got Ripped Off Way Worse Than Hamilton Did . fact

Do u just like to disagree with everyone.

14.) 25 Jan 2018 07:34:08
my glass is always half full bears and am delighted at business we’ve done in this window espesh if docherty signs - from what i’ve seen he looks a box to box dynamo!

am also delighted with how murty has turned the team
round in terms of their desire and togetherness hunting the ball down and playing at high tempo

got to disagree on martin tho he was not brilliant - it was only his first game fair dos, but he’s not commanding enough in the air hardly won any headers and that’s a worry

if bruno can get fit and danny sort out a new deal i'd be happier with them in team although bates also had a cracking game last night

15.) 25 Jan 2018 22:23:24
Who thinks rangers will win the league

16.) 26 Jan 2018 11:25:45
If anyone on here has information about £70m being ripped off/ embezzled during C Green tenure please come forward and state your case. C Green was in charge for less than a year and the most we took in this period would be £35m-40m. I know you all like to back up bear Mode but he is wrong on this occasion and should at least withdraw his ludicrous statement.

12 Jan 2018 18:13:43
Danny Wilson’s agent has once again offered him to Orlando City. A little worrying given how well he has played lately. He seems to be relishing his role at the club at the minute, yet agent still touting him elsewhere. Thankfully scouting team thinks he’s too slow, but head coach watched him v Celtic and likes him a lot.

bobbybeag

1.) 12 Jan 2018 18:23:00
Nonsense

2.) 12 Jan 2018 18:51:32
I'm surprised wilson hasn't been offered a new contract.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 19:36:41
Wilson will be offered a new contract and re-sign. It was Wilson who had a go at others at HT in Celtic game and got a reaction, he will be considered for the arm band when Alves goes.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 20:17:02
Wallace will be back soon with the armband

5.) 12 Jan 2018 20:24:19
Hope so scotty👍

6.) 12 Jan 2018 20:40:03
As far as i'm concerned its a no brainer to offer danny wilson a new contract! He's now coming into the form of his life and is a future captain of glasgow rangers! We must tie him down as soon as!

7.) 12 Jan 2018 21:33:58
Wallace is the captain.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 21:39:33
Wallace never a captain in a million years. Yes stood by club but time to move on. Jesus enough is enough. Get someone more vocal.

9.) 12 Jan 2018 21:50:27
Is this the same Wilson that has cost us goals time and time again. 2 good games out of 19

10.) 12 Jan 2018 21:58:48
I think we need to be realistic, Wallace is unlikely to get much game time and therefore Danny is the most sensible choice for captain. I don’t worry about him not being offered a contract, I worry about us losing him for nothing during the summer. I think he’s happy at Rangers and developing him into the long term captain should keep him here for the rest of his career.

11.) 12 Jan 2018 22:49:46
Wallace isn't a leader. u barely see him open his mouth on the park lucky to get in the starting 11 anyway because john has been brilliant so far.

12.) 12 Jan 2018 23:06:06
I don't think wallace is a captain either, I would rather wilson got the nod

13.) 13 Jan 2018 10:40:00
I have never rated Wallace. I think it should be given to a rangers man, someone who is playing for the shirt not the paycheque.

14.) 13 Jan 2018 13:52:36
I think you all really have to get this one game at Parkhead out of your heads because it’s starting to turn people a bit deluded on this forum.

15.) 13 Jan 2018 14:12:20
Danny Wilson is not always fan's favourite but could be around for another 10 plus years. We could be looking at the player who will play the most games for Rangers ever. With consistency he will be a key figure.

16.) 13 Jan 2018 23:51:35
Danny is too inconsistent for me. when he's good he looks really classy bit by god when he's bad he’s absolute dug meat

12 Jan 2018 18:03:35
Swansea sniffing around Morelos. They’ve the lowest budget in the premier league and see him as the perfect player to bring in for a low cost and potential big profit next year. I think he is great but we would be mad to turn down anything in the region of £4m plus sell on fee.

bobbybeag

1.) 12 Jan 2018 18:16:33
It will be interesting to see what others think but for me £4m shouldn't be enough to acquire his signature.
It would be easy to argue that it's would be good business. Buy for £1m then sell for £4m a few months later but for me that level of money is too small when balance with Morelos's ability and future potential and how of that money we would use to strengthen that squad and the quality replacements we might attract/ afford.

Again just my opinion but for an offer to be too much to turn down it would need to be closer to £7-8m.

2.) 12 Jan 2018 18:30:06
There is no chance anyone is going going to offer £4m for Morelos. Think some fans need to take a reality check. He has only been in Scotland 6 months and his tally of goals isn’t spectacular. No goals against Aberdeen or Celtic so why would anyone play £4m for him?

3.) 12 Jan 2018 18:42:57
I wouldn’t sell just now, a quality replacement would be difficult to come by and he hasn’t realised his full potential yet. He will be on the radar of lots of English clubs (who monitor hundreds of players at any one time with their vast scouting depts) and if he continues to develop they will make a move I’m sure. Our key needs to be getting a 10-20% sell on clause on any player moving up the football food chain and hopefully reap the benefits for years to come. I’d love to see 4-5 come in this summer of a similar profile of Morelos, 18-21 with some rough edges but a hunger and attitude to go far in the game.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 18:49:52
if we get offered anything near 4m he is off.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 19:40:36
I like Morelos as a player but think the vast majority of fans rate him way beyond what he’s worth. The chances he missed in old firm game yet he gets a standing ovation?! If offered a couple of million we will sell defo.

6.) 12 Jan 2018 19:58:20
Morelos is a talented lad, playing in a new country/ league. One of the few successful signing this season. He'll score 20+ this season but naebody will offer £4m!

7.) 12 Jan 2018 20:05:56
Morelos is nowhere near ready for the premiership yet. He's got the potential but he needs a couple of years and much better consistency. That will only come with games.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 20:29:33
We gave him a standing ovation because we appreciated the effort he gave us. nothing wrong with that

9.) 12 Jan 2018 21:38:05
Going on the dembele calculator, i wouldn't accept anything less than 20 million for morelos. He has bags of potential. Top scorer in spl and 6 have came from headers. He could have had 3-4 against that mob who suposadly have a value of 50 plus mil. Far better player than dembele. i would like to keep hold of him to see what he's like in 3-4 year in spfl. With murphy on the left am sure he will get a load more chances and a load more goals guven the opportunity.

10.) 13 Jan 2018 00:24:57
The dembele calculator is broken there's no such thing anymore.

11.) 13 Jan 2018 12:50:36
He got a standing ovation for his over all play. Holding it up, winning free kicks etc. Yes he missed two sitters but he gets into these positions. The second header was poor but the first wasn't his fault. Keep it low and into the corner. That's what he done and Gordon made a great save.

12.) 13 Jan 2018 13:58:33
Here we go again. He’s not worth even close to £2m never mind £4m. He’s not good enough.

15 Nov 2017 23:33:10
Pena was due to play as part of the Development squad / fringe players XI tonight, but didn't even get a minute.
Personally i'd like to see him under Murty as Murty seems to have players wanting to play for him and clearly enjoying their football. He's brilliant at taking the pressure off the players, and that's exactly what Pena needs.

bobbybeag

1.) 15 Nov 2017 23:54:03
It doesn't help when he is eating and drinking the wrong stuff in his Dakota hotel room . allegedly of course.

2.) 16 Nov 2017 00:06:57
I would be surprised if we see him play again

3.) 16 Nov 2017 00:29:23
It would be nice to find out definitively what the issue is with this guy.
I've seen enough of him (in my own opinion) that there is a decent player in him.

Something is definitely amiss.

4.) 16 Nov 2017 10:53:00
He for me makes all the good runs and can read the game well but he is very very slow and his first touch since arriving is worse than big flo's

5.) 16 Nov 2017 11:26:10
"He's brilliant at taking the pressure off the players, and that's exactly what Pena needs. "

How do you know this? Are you basing it on his handful of 1st team games? Or do you have a deeper knowledge of him than most?
Also, I can't understand why so many are calling for him to be given the manager's job. He has no track record.

6.) 16 Nov 2017 12:35:37
Don’t mention Flo and Pena in the same sentence, come on.

7.) 16 Nov 2017 13:46:21
Pena would be a decent player if given the chance, the press and some tv pundits would just love to see him fail. I support him and whoever else wears a Rangers jersey.

8.) 16 Nov 2017 15:59:10
GovanFront 7

I tend to agree that we might not see Pena play again as it might be difficult for him to get in the starting 11.
He has scored 4 goals in 5 appearances to be fair but does he have the desire and hunger to be a success, but only Murty could answer that question.

9.) 16 Nov 2017 17:27:56
his performance in the semi-final will insure he won't kick a ball again he ran about like it was his first time on a football pitch and after seeing some meaty challenges going in he decided he wanted none of it not the desire i want to see from a rangers player keep him well away from first team

10.) 16 Nov 2017 18:27:55
Hopefully Pedro takes him back to Mexico he’s Colin Nish

11.) 16 Nov 2017 20:37:28
Fortunately he isn't Colin Nish, and Rangers would benefit playing him upfront with Morelos, because as stated before. his space finding and finishing prowess is impeccable. Unfortunately he has been hyped as a DM, CM and a AM which he is never going to adapt to in Scotland. It becomes a leather chasing excersize for someone who is used to so much time on the ball in his home country. Give him a chance and let his movement and finishing excell upfront. Start playing to our advantages. Can't see Murty letting this happen, but these are the players Mark Allen plans to cash in on. Getting them playing time is a must going forward.

Orlando City looking at bringing Danny Wilson over here. Apparently been told he can make the move for free. Good source.

Dont know enough about the Waldo situation to criticise or defend him but he was fully involved in training this week. Don't be surprised to see him make his way back into the match day squad soon. He's a professional, will have handled him self impeccably well and Gerrard will have respected that. He is a top professional and those are the characters Gerrard wants around. People who want what's best for RFC. Watch this space?

bobbybeag

1.) 22 Aug 2018 08:56:28
There is definitely still a place for him in the squad and he has a part to play this season.

2.) 22 Aug 2018 10:03:03
he is a good player, definitely offers something and loves the club. he will give his all for us, regardless of his ongoing issues with his disciplinary dispute.

18 Jul 2018 22:15:02
We will not go far in europe with Windass, Candeias and Morelos as our attacking 'threat'. We need a creative winger or attacking midfielder or someone to make the final 3rd tick. All 3 are good players but not of the standard we need unfortunately.

bobbybeag

08 Jun 2018 11:17:05
Where would you like to see us improve further bears?

Fods/ Shagger

Tav - Bruno/ McRorie - Goldson - John/ Waldo

Jack/ Rossiter

Ejaria/ Windass - Arfield/ Dorrans/ Holt

Candeias - Morelos - Murphy/ Windass

bobbybeag

1.) 08 Jun 2018 12:40:25
Competition for RB. An RW and a striker

2.) 08 Jun 2018 12:40:45
And another CB as well as Goldson

3.) 08 Jun 2018 12:55:44
Everywhere to be honest, unsure of Goldson and Ejaria, fingers crossed.

4.) 08 Jun 2018 13:20:53
you're missing Docherty from that list.

I think we will set up 4-5-1 next near like this.

Mgregor
Tavenier Goldson New CB John
Candias Dorrans Jack Arfield Murphy
new striker

with Foderingham, Wallace, mcrorie. Docherty, Ejaria, Windass and Morelos being the bench players.

Im assuming that alves, carodoso, Halliday, Forrester Dodoo and Herrera will likely be sold off or loaned out before we start looking at other squad players.

5.) 08 Jun 2018 14:54:39
would not have jack or darrans near the team they are not good enough. Rossiter if fit and hopefully we get a far better CM.

6.) 08 Jun 2018 15:19:49
I just can't see a massive turn around in the squad. sure, we might get another midfielder in but a few would have to leave before that happens.

Keep in mind that we scored the most amount of goals in the league last year. The team know how to score goals. It was our defence that let us down. Sort that out and get another striker and we are not far away.

7.) 08 Jun 2018 15:28:37
Jamie5100 Bit unfair on Jack. He was a standout at the sheep and spent half last season injured. Surely deserves a chance under Gerrard.

8.) 08 Jun 2018 15:41:58
I agree in fact I'd go as far to say Jack was one of only a few players to get pass marks.

9.) 08 Jun 2018 15:58:30
Would never see a performance as spineless as the ones we seen against Celtic from Jack

10.) 08 Jun 2018 16:12:25
Well am prayin he doesn't play McCrorie centre half as he's terrible. 10 times the player when in defensive mid

11.) 08 Jun 2018 16:27:40
Don't really understand the critics of Jack, especially in the Celtic game when he was having to do the running for both Pena and Dorrans in there.

12.) 08 Jun 2018 23:52:34
Agree. Mc I distinctly remember jack playing Scott brown right out the game for aberdeen. think they still lost but jack had waybthe better of brown. that’s why I couldn’t understand that when we played celtic jack was played in a different position than a man marking job in brown. if I had been him I would have done that anyway despitevwherevthe manager told me to go

31 Jan 2018 03:59:21
Promising times! First time in a long time we have been able to say no thanks to that kind of money! If they are offering this much now, think how much they'll offer in the summer after he's banged in 25-30 goals for us!

bobbybeag

1.) 31 Jan 2018 07:10:46
Id say probably not as much as prices always seem to inflate in january like panic buying. Plus dembele perfect example he loses form u lose price all they dembele dollars suddenlybdropped n interest was man city chelsea etc to brighton some times sayin no isn't the vest thing to do personally i'd cash in on him even another striker on loan and use moneybat end of season to buy the loan players out the agreements

2.) 31 Jan 2018 10:05:10
Whilst I do like Morelos, he needs at least 3 or 4 chances a game to score. Could have easily had a couple in the OF game. I would like to see them get £10 million for him - I would be willing to sell him for that. Make Cummings transfer permanent in the summer and have some money to go and bring someone else in

25 Jan 2018 04:57:21
Good times bears. Heading in the right direction at least. Clean sheet and looked dangerous going forward whenever we got the ball. Windass is flying, Murphy will only get better, Candeias and Tav deadly. Morelos will be pushed all the way by Cummings. Kenny, Dorrans, Jacko, Docherty, McCrorie, Waldo all to return. Looking good!

bobbybeag

1.) 25 Jan 2018 07:04:07
Yip we are beginning to take shape and look good! Its a team effort all the way through our club but as far as i'm concerned, a very big pat on the back for our manager graeme murty! Totally impressed with everything our young manager is doing! Surely at the very least, a 12 month rolling contract, should most definitely be in the offing, at the end of the season! His team building has impressed me greatly!

2.) 25 Jan 2018 07:46:29
It’s great to see at last we have a squad of decent players covering all positions and foremost a first 11 that does not pick itself and if any player dips in form they know they will be dropped.

Caulker has personal issues I don't think should be shared in respect of his privacy, which will stop him signing for a top club anytime in the near future. He was fortunate to get a deal at Dundee, put it that way.

Does this mean the board gets credit for a great appointment? Haha. I think he is the right choice. Met him personally and the way he conducts himself is very Walter-esq. Dignity and Respect. that's not to say he's as good as Walter, i simply mean the way he carries himself and represents the club.

Great players to have in the dressing room and in the squad, but I feel they should be subject to being dropped for poor performances just like everyone else should and would be. I've heard a lot of disgruntled supporters talk poorly of Herrera but I would like to see him and Morelos up top together, and I'd rather Miller out wide instead of Krankjar, although I think Windass has won that spot for now.

We didn't post a display of celtic fans hanging, and we didn't hold a sign said Kill All Tims. I don't think singing an offensive song is on that level. Granted the sectarianism within our Supporters is embarassing, I disagree when you say we were just as bad.
