3.) 05 Jan 2016 19:41:49
He will join at end of summer ally not until summer.

4.) 05 Jan 2016 20:31:29
Let's hope that his colleague joins us as well.

5.) 05 Jan 2016 23:16:15
Reports that windass and crooks have agreed outline terms.

Kyle lafferty is a possibility to return to Rangers on loan in January (source, durranty's son)

david c

1.) 22 Nov 2015 22:14:20
I hope not, one of the worst players / strikers we've had. Goal scoring ratio was howling!

2.) 22 Nov 2015 23:18:31
Goals in the run in to the season won the treble you guys got short term memories sure he was not the finished article at the time but he went away and has played abroad is now a much better player not the rough diamond he once was cuts it at international level as well going to a finals unlike our Scots boys.

3.) 22 Nov 2015 22:48:32
Can't see it david c, we don't want kyle lafferty anywhere near ibrox with all his disruptive baggage, he's a peter pan who's never grew up! Warburton would never sign someone like him with all his carry on off the park and would be a bad example for all our young players in and around the periphery of our first team not to mention that most of us the fans won't forget the way he left the club which he then threatened to take to court, no thanks, mr lafferty can get lost and go and find another club!

4.) 22 Nov 2015 23:33:22
Better options around guys in bosmans hopefully we can get up lots of guys in England comung to the end of there deals Nicky Maynard I like scored goals at Bristol City technical fast.

5.) 23 Nov 2015 17:08:04
Wouldn't want to see Lafferty anywhere near the team. A liability who only started to play towards the end of any season when he was looking for new deals.

6.) 23 Nov 2015 17:42:50
Warbottonthefifteenth you hit the nail on the head with your comment mate, he would definetly upset the dressing room IMHO.

7.) 24 Nov 2015 00:51:02
James Vaughan on a bosman would be better than Lafferty. I reckon he would score goals up here him and La Fondre would be my picks on bosmans. Dunno if the backing will be there to be as ambitious though. I reckon there as good or better than what is at Celtic finding a target man to would be good Nile Ranger is on a bosman to would be something different.

8.) 24 Nov 2015 10:27:22
Nile ranger would be a disaster, if you think lafferty is trouble then you obviously don't know this guys history. Wouldn't have him near my club.

9.) 24 Nov 2015 13:20:08
Tom Eaves then maybe 6.5 defo target man out of favour coukd try get him on loan get into get Kenny to get into his head and find the goals touch? And if it work's out offer him a permo deal? Scouser like McParland he is bound to know him same with Adam Hammell the winger always rated him.

10.) 24 Nov 2015 15:07:35
Lot of people on here that should be employed as scouts for rangers .

11.) 24 Nov 2015 17:31:47
Young Mark Beck is out the picture to at Yeovil another giant striker 6.5 feet another that might do a job? Something we lacks a powerful striker with presence. Might be worth scouting fits the bill to if its Scots we want. Worth getting a loan maybe if Eaves is not coming?

12.) 24 Nov 2015 18:53:23
Marko Futacs the big Hungarian 25 fits the bill played with Portsmouth his deals coming to a end abroad soon not the best goals record but a big powerful unit 6.5 foot deals coming to a end avalible on a bosman soon if no new deals forth coming.

13.) 25 Nov 2015 16:48:21
Wee Ally, maynard and le Fondre would be great, big wages tho so can't see it, same for Vaughan, 3 fantastic Strikers tho.

14.) 25 Nov 2015 19:01:40
If our max is eight grand hopefully we could find a few from abroad even the up and coming in English league one here is hoping he says he is going for Scots so Alston Douglas should be in our range McGinn at Dundee to has done well who cares who his Grand Dad is done good in the league above we could unless Trav as a winger.

Rangers are still hoping to land stevie may.Rangers team boss Mark Warburton was impressed with the Newburgh lad when he was manager of Brentford and earlier tried to get him on loan.

It's now believed the Gers have made a bid to get May on a permanent deal.(evening telegraph)

david c

1.) 24 Jul 2015 07:40:21
David c I don't know if you've been keeping up to date with these posts recently but that's old news mate dated back at least a month ago. I don't think Stevie May will be coming

28 Nov 2014 08:11:37
Mark Wotte is a shock candidate for the director of football role at Rangers, after leaving his post as SFA performance director.

david c

1.) 28 Nov 2014 08:58:33
Good move in my opinion, if it's true.

2.) Someone with a football brain.

3.) 28 Nov 2014 14:42:01
How can rangers pay off low paid staff and then take on a high end wage earner. This is morally wrong in my opinion. I earn a decent living wage for me and my wife to live a reasonably steady and comfortable working class life. It sickens me that low earning people are dumped not only at this time of year but at any time of year. let's get in house at Rangers fixed before we bring in more high earners, or better still let's get rid of the high earners that are there who don't contribute to the well being of the club.

4.) Mark Wotte. what. A coincidence when all of a sudden they need loads of dosh. they come out with this. aye right. lambs to the slaughter once again.

Rangers have decided against signing kris boyd

david c

1.) What a rubbish decision!

2.) The decisions to allow Andy Little to leave and not sign Kris Boyd have made me not only question McCoist's football knowledge but his sanity as well! A foursome of Daly, Miller, Boyd and Little would be a potent one but instead we have Daly, Miller and the Queen of the South dud.

3.) Clark is no dud he has to be given a chance to prove himself he is young I would love to see boyd back and it might still happen but if it falls through I would like to see Goodwill at Ibrox

4.) Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Clarke prove me and the other doubters, wrong and have an excellent season next season, and maybe he just felt the pressure at his first season with his boyhood idols but I'd rather see Boyd and Little at the club than the unproven at this level Clarke. Goodwillie isn't that bad a shout, although what's happened off the field makes me slightly wary.

5.) Aye Right, No Money mare like.

6.) Its always been rumoured mccoist does not like boyd is it because of boyd being lazy lol put kettle or is because boyd took the most goals scored for rangers away from mccoist I wonder

7.) Not going to lie, I am pretty gutted about this. He seemed keen to come back. It begs the question, why would McCoist opt to sign Kenny Miller over a younger and much more prolific striker? I like Miller and I'm glad we signed him but if I had the option between the two I know who I'd sign. Boydy in a heartbeat.

Richard gough to be appointed rangers manager if dave king takes control. just a wee rumour I heard! Thoughts please!

david c

1.) 05 Feb 2015 23:45:48
Can't see that happening to be honest. I see Gough more as a club embassador. There is money to be made with expats that has not been fully exploited. I see Gough as the guy to go out and generate business. We need somebody that has managerial experience that will hit the road running mate.

2.) David c, makes sense to me mate, but nothing at our club makes sense to me, since the asset strippers got there feet in the door.

3.) 06 Feb 2015 06:22:20
Are you having a laugh! We need a manager who is proven, did we not learn are lesson with mccoist just because your a legend it doesn't mean you'll be a successful manager!

4.) 06 Feb 2015 07:46:30
hooly, nobody said he would be great because he is a playing legend? then again he just might be, a true gers legend and has never stopped supporting the club, if the board feel he got what it takes then give it a go

5.) Ally McCoist, apologist and fan-calmer for the Green asset-strip,
Gough, apologist and fan-calmer for the King asset-strip

Simples.

6.) 06 Feb 2015 09:04:39
Obviously must not have watched the full interview with King the other day. An hour long. Stated that Rangers would need a manager that could build a team. This is not Richard Gough. He has no managerial experience.

We need experience. not standing. Gough was in this mornings Daily Record saying he would be happy to help out at Murray Park. Possibly defensive coach? Dunno?

7.) After a lot of thought I reckon the best candidate for manager is d mc innes he has grown aberedeen every year scince he got the job I said at the start I would wait till we seen how he got on well he has done very well

8.) 06 Feb 2015 10:26:47
makes sence bigwull think that would be safest bet

9.) 06 Feb 2015 10:37:00
King and The Three Bears are going to surround themselves with Rangers 'minded' financiers, consultants, backroom staff including managers and coaches. This is the only way forward for the time being. However, and Rangers 'minded' manager, their coaches and scouting team will need to have a proven track record and a very positive mentality.

10.) Altus blue, I also read the story about mr gough offering his services, I think he could be used to help motivate the team, until the end of season,

02 Feb 2015 15:05:36
Newcastle youngsters including Gael Bigirimana, Kevin Mbabu and Haris Vuckic could be heading for Ibrox to complete loan moves

david c

{Ed039's Note - can only loan 2 players from the same side so 3 of them arent)

1.) According to ssn 4/5 players coming in Ed

{Ed039's Note - maybe i am not reading rules right, SPFL rules says only 2 loans from one club at one time, maximum of 4 players at one time with only one aged over 21, it doesnt seem to clarify if that is between member clubs or whether the rules are different for loan deals from clubs outside Scotland)

15 Dec 2014 13:56:26
Media reports this morning put former West Brom manager Steve Clarke and ex-Rangers player Rino Gattuso as the favourites to replace McCoist.

david c

1.) The media are guessing as much as we are. Where is the money coming from to pay off McCoist, McDowall, Durrant et al?

2.) They can pay there wages every month for a year they don't need a pot of gold next friday

{Ed039's Note - True, but where does the money come from to pay them for 12 months as well as a new gaffer?)

3.) Well ed I am led to believe there bonuses on top of the coaching staffs wages kenny macdowall and durrant don't have contracts like macoists that's written in stone also they can make two appointments instead of three ant stage the new teams payments starting low and rising after macoists departure even we jimmy bell is on a grand aweek and they will be casualities amongst the high end players lee maculloch on £13k a week etc etc there are many ways of skinning a cat but we must have the right men certainly not terry butcher or billy davis

Discussions between senior figures at Rangers have taken place concerning the future of Ally McCoist. However, the manager's position is not under immediate threat. It has been revealed that it would cost the club £1.4m to remove mccoist and his two assistants!

david c

1.) Well that is his contract same as every club if that's what it take that's it do you expect them to walk away for nothing look at the pay off to these spivs at the top who have been forced out and its them who have run us into the ground would any of us leave out jobs and so no to any money that was in our contract, I wouldn't its not their fault the money has been bled form the club I want a change of manager and coaching staff but I don't expect them to walk away

2.) Cooperboy.

Most of us have the good sense to realise when we are not coping with the demands of a job. There is an issue of his capability to perform the duties of his contract.

But this not any job? If he cares about the club he should just go. It is obvious he has either no idea or if he does then it is obvious that his players do not have any respect for him.

Rangers v raith rovers, fifth round scottish cup, not a bad draw!

david c

1.) Yes, good draw. That should see us into the last 8. A win against Alloa on Wednesday night and we will be in the final of the Challenge Cup then of course on 1st Feb the League Cup semi-final v the 'tic. One negative is that there will be two successive weekends in February with no league games so a danger of Hearts stealing further ahead. I think we've 8 league games from now to end of January, including Hearts at home and Hibs away. What a boost a 100% run would give the team before facing Celtic.

2.) 01 Dec 2014 15:19:52
I think that's a must 8 wins can't accept no less let's hope we get it try n close this gap a bit try n win this league

3.) David c obviously memory is not your strong point

I don't deny that there is definately an issue with fitness and discipline at murray park, but surely the players must take full responsibility for being unfit or overweight. Was listening to the commentary on radio yesterday and derek ferguson was disgusted with kris boyd. Not only was he disinterested but overweight! AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

We can forget all this nonsense about derek mcinnes coming in, it ain't going to happen. As for spending £6m in the summer (if of course dave king gets control) let's be honest it will take a vast amount more to get us up competing for the title next season, although I doubt we will premoted this season!

Had an interesting chat with someone who I will not name but does work as a community coach at rangers who reckons that the young lad telfer has the potential to go further in the game than lewis mcleod. Hardly surprising given that charlie telfer has today won spfl young player award. Yet another young talent that our manager fails to recognise! Telfer new his chances at ibrox were limited and wisely decided to join a club with a manager who knows what he is doing! THE SOONER MCCOIST IS OUT THE BETTER!
