Already unrest in the camp the players complaining about not enough time off. And Pedro complaining about players not following his tactics on Sunday. This will go 1 of 2 ways either Pedro goes are he clears out the deadwood.

hooly78

1.) 27 Apr 2017 13:20:18
Judging the players on performance and consistency, I would keep Pedro and clear out the deadwood.

2.) 27 Apr 2017 13:30:09
Yes, deadwood out. Sir alex wouldn't have tolerated players calling the shots, neither would walter smith.

3.) 27 Apr 2017 13:51:04
Usual papers blowing things out of proportion ill guarantee that 95% of players etc are happy to do as told. there will be the odd one who wants to rock the boat and they'll be as previous stated 'deadwood' and on way out anyway! If I was a pro i'd be waiting to book holidays when the gaffer says I can take time off!

4.) 27 Apr 2017 14:24:08
two players with weddings. the same two who didn't do their jobs. mmmmm.

5.) 27 Apr 2017 14:33:19
They players have had it too easy for too long and the attitude that it must be someone else's fault that they are crap just doesn't wash, if you want to improve the hard work is the only way to do it, if though you want to talk back and think you know better then you are out the door this ain't a democracy it's the work place and a very privileged one at that if it goes wrong everyone will call for Pedro's head so if he takes the flak then they must do what he says. If anyone that worked for me today me how to run things they would be in the house with their thoughts and Jeremy Kyle shouldn't be any different for underperforming footballers on £10 grand a week. If they played better and tried harder they wouldn't be under the cosh i'd just tell them to go now don't come in get a new club, pedro might not be happy with you but if they read the views on this site most fans don't want the majority of them there anyway and that is a reality they need to wake up to they are fighting for their rangers careers not for more says off accept it or go

6.) 27 Apr 2017 15:30:10
Problem is we signed rubbish players. There is only so much you can get out of Martyn Waghorn and Andy Halliday, and making them work harder isn't going to make them better players. In fact, it will only annoy them to have their time off reduced. How would you feel if your boss told you Saturday was now a working day? And you weren't getting a penny extra for it? As rubbish as the team is, as poorly as they worked on Sunday, the buck stops with the manager as well.

{Ed001's Note - making them work harder is exactly how Sam Allardyce turned round Crystal Palace's season. The players were out of shape and overweight when he took over, so he spent the first month or two just getting them fitter and it is paying dividends now. Hard work is as important as anything in sport. You never progress without it.}

7.) 27 Apr 2017 17:59:28
RR1872 if I was under pressure at work and needed my guys in on Saturdays theyd do it as their future would be at risk and that is true I run a small business with 8 guys doing blockpaving sub contracted on sites the reality is if I don't fulfil obligations then someone else gets my work and the guys who work for me would be out of jobs now I give them perks when I can and the boys know this and step up when asked that is real life. So I don't feel sorry for footballers who underperform and are over payed and if they don't want someone else doing their job next year they better get tuned in

8.) 27 Apr 2017 18:39:48
What about the third option?

9.) 27 Apr 2017 20:38:14
@ed - slight difference between having an underperforming squad and one which is plain poor. But I take your point.

10.) 27 Apr 2017 22:27:20
I'd work a Sat for 2 grand a week if you class football as a job and take 7 days holiday. It's a privelage to do that as your job. No coming home with calisuses and dirty

11.) 27 Apr 2017 22:49:39
Any players moaning about holidays are crazy. Players came to play European football and if our first game is on X then Caixinha must get them in as early as possible to prepare.

It's going to be difficult to bed in new players, so I hope to see players getting lined up as soon as season ends.

12.) 28 Apr 2017 07:26:34
Something doesn't stack up here. This story has come out the week after we got knocked out of the Scottish cup which ends a season a week earlier. you would have thought after the last game they would come in after the game and do their debrief leaving roughly 4 days extra extra than previous. Think there as an alternative angle on this story to try and cause a rift in the rangers can. Funny how Brenda came out with a story the day after on the same subject!

13.) 28 Apr 2017 10:05:42
the media is all for celtic and think their team is the best thing to happen to scottish football although all the stats like attendances revenue made for every club in the spl is better off because we are back

02 Mar 2017 11:51:49
I can't believe the Portuguese guy is going to get the Rangers manager job. We need a British manager not a guy that has barely no managerial experience a look at his career will tell you it is a major mistake. Mcleish might have his faults but how the hell can he not get the job in front of pedro caixinha is beyond me. He's even less qualified than ronny delia.

hooly78

1.) 02 Mar 2017 12:51:41
Might bring weiss home with him🤞

2.) 02 Mar 2017 12:54:30
We aren't employing a manager though? it's a head coach we are after.

3.) 02 Mar 2017 13:21:32
barely no experience? He has experience as an assisstant at a range of top clubs across europe and recently won 3 trophies in 2 years in mexican football as manager. Did he not reach CONCACAF champions league final as well? Good enough for a Qatari team to offer him 2 mil a year, and he's willing to take a big paycut for chance to come to us. Board showing ambition going for this guy, compare him to Warburton, McInnes, Davies and the other lo. He could be fantastic for us

4.) 02 Mar 2017 13:40:11
head coach, manager it doesn't matter what u call it he is in charge of our team!
i hope he isn't another le guen.

but if it turns out to be him i will give my full backing and keep backing him until he has his first full season under his belt and then i will pass judgement as being negative does nothing other than hinder our great team if we stay off his back and give him support like he has never had maybe only good things will come from this guy.

5.) 02 Mar 2017 15:14:14
He might surprise us and he certainly wouldn't be any worse than macleish and Davies!

6.) 02 Mar 2017 17:45:35
Can anyone on here honestly tell me what Le Guen did wrong. He tried to bring professionalism to a Club and only failed through the cowardly and cheap shots that the real Rangers men (Ferguson as Chief slug) being the main mouthpiece.
Views please.

7.) 02 Mar 2017 19:44:58
What he done wrong is he lost matches. 2nd place is no where when you are at this club. And that's the way it should be!

8.) 03 Mar 2017 08:13:56
At the end of the day a lot of people seem to have this fixation that Caixinha is already coming in? Its all paper and media talk at the moment! I know we all have our own thoughts and feelings of who should get the Head Coach/ Managers role but until its announced it makes no difference. Who ever comes in we need to give our full backing to but and start making people scared of playing us again

12 Mar 2015 20:01:24
Has mcdowall completely left the club are is he on gardening leave like mccoist?

hooly78

1.) 12 Mar 2015 22:08:58
gone completely

2.) 13 Mar 2015 14:17:03
0aid off I'd imagine, MrKing and the board have acted immaculately so far, within 6 days they have brother in a new manager, suspended the 2 rats, got rid of 2 completely, and launched an investigation, all that while dealing with his many business affairs back home, hats off I'd say?

As most people on here agree haliday isn't good enough for midfield how about giving jordan Thompson a chance. Everytime he's played he's looked a good prospect. He certainly deserves a chance.

hooly78

1.) 02 Jan 2017 18:40:31
He certainly couldn't be any worse than Halliday!

24 Dec 2016 14:26:54
3 points but that was shocking performance. I hope garner isn't another sebo. All effort but little quality.

hooly78

1.) 24 Dec 2016 14:39:19
Terrible performance with only Fod getting pass marks. 3 points though, so move on and hopefully improve and take another 3 next week.

2.) 24 Dec 2016 14:49:36
Did not see the game today, apart from the score did we have any positives? Interested to hear how Windass, Hill and Garner played. Surprised that Hill got the nod ahead of Wilson. Understand Wallace has injured and may be doubtful for Celtic game.

3.) 24 Dec 2016 15:03:15
Normal service resumed after a couple of decent performances lately.

Back to being clueless against a very poor team.

4.) 24 Dec 2016 15:06:41
That was hard work to watch and I take my hat off to the fans who traveled for that showing. Bring in Hill for the high balls but don't drop Wilson for him and I fail to see what Warburton sees in Forrester. I reckon the Celtic fans can't wait for Saturday and I just can't see our midfield coping. Foderingham was outstanding.

5.) 24 Dec 2016 15:08:15
Only big wes would of got pass marks. Made 4 or 5 good saves. We give the ball away so many times. He took mckay and waghorn off early in 2nd half when both were having a better game than garner. But 3 points anyway. If we play like that next Saturday we will get absolutely hammered.

6.) 24 Dec 2016 15:15:17
Playing 4,3,3 is murder to watch, need to change it before next week, but he won't teams play 5 in the middle and over run us. halliday is shocking .

7.) 24 Dec 2016 15:38:15
Lost count of times that I've stated halliday and holt are just not good enough, the central area really worries me! Any successful team has two good central players and we've none! No ball winner and no ball player!

8.) 24 Dec 2016 16:08:31
Poor today but we got the 3 points and I'll settle for that. I remember how I felt after pittodrie when we played well and left with nothing but I do agree play like today against st johnstone and it will be long nite.

9.) 24 Dec 2016 17:30:58
I'm impressed the way Warburton fought off being sacked, but he is a limited arrogant manager who is fortunate that more people don't see right through him. He talks a good game, but so do all con men.

10.) 24 Dec 2016 17:36:22
Do we really play 4-3-3?

McKay lays closer to our goal line than Holt
Miller is as often in our half than not
Halliday plays where?

Also does anyone think McKay lacks heart?

11.) 24 Dec 2016 19:17:33
When we play against teams that 'rough us up'. McKay goes missing.

12.) 25 Dec 2016 10:30:10
Incidentally hooly78 and fd, do none of you guys think clint hill was well above pass marks today? He was motm in my eyes and he got it at ibrox also. Don't know what you were watching guys if you don't think clint hill had a well above average game against inverness caley thistle yesterday!

24 Oct 2016 11:58:11
The fact is rodgers is a better manager than Warburton. Hate to admit that. And he isn't afraid to drop big players. There are players in rangers team that know they won't be dropped Wallace and especially mckay need took out of the firing line. Give dodoo and moh a chance and as for rossiter brilliant prospect but always been injury prone. Garner in my opinion isn't able to play upfront on his own give him a chance playing with someone. And unless money is spent celtic will be going for 10 in a row. They have champions league money plus if they sell dembele they will get at least 10million and probably the same money for tiernan.

hooly78

1.) 24 Oct 2016 22:07:10
I tend to agree in terms of dropping big players but with us it is not even 'Big' players that seem to be beyond dropping. McKay is out of his depth in the Premier League, Wallace is a poor captain with no leadership qualities. McKay should be no where near the team, until there is someone better Halliday should be given the captaincy.
As for Garner, not sure why we signed him, he is certainly not an adequate replacement for Miller.

12 Oct 2016 06:50:39
After watching lee hodson play against Germany I'd like to see him given a chance. I'd play him against celtic as in my opinion he's a better defender than tavernier and is pretty decent going forward as well.

hooly78

1.) 12 Oct 2016 09:21:49
I really like lee hodson but imo I'd have tav in before him, just my opinion hooly78,i think tav is better and his defending has most definitely improved this season, his forward play has never been in doubt, he's tremendous going forward and that's the way the modern day wing-backs play now!

2.) 12 Oct 2016 10:43:36
Anytime hodson has played, we've looked more solid at the back. Surely with a team full of wingers and attacking players, we should leave the 'going forward' to them. I would without a doubt be starting hodson against them.

3.) 12 Oct 2016 11:56:30
Got to agree Supercoop, Tav everyday for me, defensivly can b abit suspect but has improved but his attacking style for me should guarantee him a start. also hodson only had a few games against lower league this season so not really bn tested.

4.) 12 Oct 2016 13:38:18
tav all day for me. he has been one of our best this season and looks like the only one that can cross a ball into the box which is exactly what a player like garner needs to be affective.

5.) 12 Oct 2016 16:21:21
Naw James. That's it yer done. Get your coat, phone a taxi, hand in your gun and badge, delete yer account, set fire to yer phone.

Paul Lambert pffffffft. Geez peace. Only time I want him back at ibrox is to look for his teeth in the broomy penalty box.

08 Oct 2016 15:01:57
Good luck to linfield tomorrow against qos. There's a special relationship between rangers and linfield you only have to look back to our darkest days when linfield hosted a friendly between the 2 teams and donated all gate money to rangers fighting fund.

hooly78

1.) 08 Oct 2016 16:44:01
Yeah they done us proud, best of luck to them.

2.) 08 Oct 2016 19:33:15

And what? I'm from Northern Ireland so I think a lot of Michael O'Neil but what makes you think he would be any good in league football. His only managerial experience in club football was in the league of Ireland. Lawrie sanchez had a brilliant record with us but flopped big time when he got his chance with fulham

Well I don't know if that is true but if there isn't substantial investment in the summer there will be thousands less season tickets sold than this year. I'd love to know what the mood is like in the board room because I know king gets a lot of stick but in my opinion the 3 bears and rest of the board are responsible as well.

Laverty isn't a legend we can all agree on that. But neither is the likes of weiss who is lauded by some rangers fans as a legend. Weiss played 23 games for rangers so I don't know we're all this hero worshiping comes from. Lafferty was a better servant to the club than many of the other ex players who are hero worshipped!
