Heard from a few people today that Boyd will sign a pre contract to join Rangers in the summer anyone else heard anything and what do fellow bears think of this if it happens I for pne would welcome him back even if we could get a coupleof years outof him

lochaberbear

1.) Mr guidi on clyde 1 keeps banging on about how celtic should sign him! As if, he might not be everyones cup of tea but he is a true blue!

2.) He was a good goal scorer b4 because he had good service from a good midfield. If he comes back he won't get the same quality service so he wouldn't be banging them in, He also never created anything for himself! Backward step I'd say, we should be looking at younger players!

3.) I agree with above post in terms of trying to recruit promising young players instead of boyd, however kili don't exactly have an abundance of midfield talent to provide boydy yet he is still banging them in! Also noticed that kane hemmings scored again today for the beath, I don't think that boy was given much of a chance at rangers!

{Ed039's Note - I think Hemmings injury problems made the final decision to let him go, unfortunately we cant afford passengers at the moment)

4.) Doubt it - Ally and him don't get on - we don't need any more high earners until the PL

regarding the comment Aldair posted in reply to my post on Ashley and Sports Direct. have you seen the latest mate can you see how low Ashley is prepared to go. to actually invite a man for peace talks when you have no intention of peace all your intention is to destroy him. did you see the hats sport direct are selling. this man is out to destroy Rangers or anybody that tries to stop him exploiting people. no doubt Craig Houston will be his next target. so i put it to you Aldair WHAT SHOULD WE DO? do what we do best absolutely nothing just sit back and bathe in the glory of beating teams like morton 5-1 losing to hibs ect won't destroy us losing to Ashley will.

hi fellow bears I've not posted in over a year due to illness but i have been keeping tabs. Regarding this Ashley carry on its plainly obvious he is out to screw us any way he can. so its about time we hit back. its coming up to the Christmas run in and Sports Direct will make a fortune so how about this. we have a very high level of support in every town in Scotland so why don't we use social media to galvanize this support and when Rangers are playing away a few hundred supporters should make their way to the nearest Sports Direct outlet and go inside for a wee look at what's on offer i'm not suggesting we actually purchase anything, no chanting or banners just 3 or 4 hundred bears in each shop asking stupid questions trying on merchandise, blocking the already very narrow isles queing up at sale points etc and generally making it rather difficult for them to actually do any business. no intimidating staff as its clearly not their fault. that might make Mr Ashley take notice when people who are actually prepared to spend their cash in his store can't get near the tills.

1.) 04 Nov 2015 07:40:26
Craziest comment I've seen in a long time! Would achieve nothing and have us all looking like idiots! What a stupid idea.

2.) 04 Nov 2015 08:36:41
Well aldair what is your suggestion instead of rubbishing others?

3.) 04 Nov 2015 09:11:35
Lochaberbear. i honestly don't think protesting at sportd will do anything. i think ashley is taking this very personal now. i think the answer to beating ashley lies in the green and co trial. hear is hopping they find something in there to rid us of the ball and chain contract.

4.) 04 Nov 2015 09:36:36
@ Aldair you may think its crazy mate but we are running out of options why would we look like idiots? we look like idiots now we sit back and do nothing as usual. Ashley is a greedy little ******** his only goal in life is to make money he has no concern for anybody or anything except money. look how he treats his own workforce Ashley is a modern day slave exploiter. he exploits the law to suit his own agenda he exploits the tax system to make more money (i know rangers done the same but we are paying for it know) he has no care or respect for anything but money. so when it comes to fighting back the only way to take on guys like ashley is to hurt him where it hurts most his bank account. remember sports direct are a public limited company they have share holders and some of these are share holders are large pension funds company's they will quite happily sit back and let Ashley do what Ashley does until it hits their share price and their dividend and the only way that will happen is when the money going through sports direct tills start to dry up.

5.) 04 Nov 2015 12:59:22
My take on this is, , pay back his loan, buy nothing from his company's, and sit tight until the contract runs out, unless there is other contract details? Why have the Scottish govt not got involved in this robbery? Disgrace, and believe me we can't rely on fans from other clubs for support, there is a very strong hatred of rangers which is poisonous, and has nothing to do with football, king and co have to act now, get rid of the Ashley.

16 Jan 2015 11:16:16
i Hope all bears fans come along tonight and join the protest and bring along as many friends and family as humanly possible I don't think it would make one jot of a difference to Ashley as he has already shown contempt for us, but we have to try something.

if this does not make Ashley stand up and take notice I wonder if 100 plus bears fans standing outside the enterance of every Sports Direct store in Scotland protesting making it awkward for them to do business will make him take notice

lochaberbear

1.) Isnt a protest selfdefeating and just who is acceptable. given that some other group may not like the investors you do.?

2.) Ashley does not care who he upsets. He will do what he wants, if he can get away with it. If the puppets give over the stadium, I think that will be the last straw for me.

3.) I think we have to be a bit smarter in our protests, start using the things Ashley wants against him. At the same time as not starving the club of gate receipts so we don't need his loans.

He wants free advertising because of the size of the audience and media coverage, So let's start using the the same audience and media coverage to display our concern about with Big banners, expose his immoral greed, he makes his fortune by with his use of Zero ours contracts, let's find out where his own brand merchandise is made, i. e if made in India or the likes how much are these worker being paid.

Cant beet a good big banner criticizing not, only his involvement with just rangers but his ethics in the rest of his business, splashed across the press.

This way, along with his advertising goes Bad publicity, as the media report - Make it a marketing nightmare for him. To the point it become s more of a hassle for him that it is worth.

Those in the main stand for the first 10 mins of every match, don't watch the match but turn there backs on the director seating area, let's let the whole world see our dislike for them, and the let the media portrait the same.

Lets organise protests out side his shops, for his use of Zero hours contracts, and not to buy rangers merchandise from here.

Lets advocate the use of his rival DW sports, let's support him to squeeze him even more, so that Operating in Scotland is not profitable for him.

Send signed petitions from fans to the board pledging not to buy merchandising so they know not to order stock, that way they can't over order stock, and Ashley has to pay something back. This will also add pressure to the board, as they are legally obliged to act on behalf of all shareholders.

Start an online petition to get the number of signatures we need to have our case heard by politicians to look at accounts and the business dealings of the board.

Hold protests at McGill bus depots, until Easedale either sells or stops supporting Ashley, also set up social media campaigns advocating boycotts

Lets think of some catchy tunes to sing at matches to get Ashely out. It is better to single out one board member rather than them all, get them out one by one, the old saying Untied they stand Divided they fall.

{Ed001's Note - everybody already knows how he runs his business, but he still sells loads of stuff because no one cares. Your idea is pointless. It achieves nothing but putting more money in his back pocket through extra free advertising as it gets mentioned across more places and in the news.}

according to the Scotsman Sarver tried to stop the sale of Lewis Macleod as a condition to his offer there was a clause stating there had to be a transfer freeze. looks like he was putting the clubs best interest first also he is smart enough to know if you want to be the best you have to keep your best. how much will it cost for Rangers to replace a talent like Macleod like for like 2 or 3 million i'm sick to death off all this carry on at Rangers the one man who had the cash the business brains but most of all the willingness to stick cash and his head above the parapet to try and take us forward has had to walk away.

now we hear nothing of King and the three bears are in talks with Ashleys puppets about power sharing. Each one of the three bears and king has the wealth to do what Sarver tried but none are willing to put up that kind of cash.

i really don't think the three bears or King has the cash nor the balls to take on Ashley but the American had plenty of both so unless they stand up and be counted then in my opinion they should sell what shares they have to Sarver and let him take on Ashley and Greenocks answer to the Kray twins.

lochaberbear

1.) If they did not have the cash how do u think they purcased the share and are working on rescue package of£6.5 million they would not attempt to takeover without the money give them some credit

2.) 13 Jan 2015 13:36:50
So many chancers and wideoes over the last few years. The investors without an agenda or dodgy reputations are refused entry at every turn.
Rangers are no longer the club of our past. Never will be the same no matter what.
Finished.

3.) Bigwull why don't King or the three bears stop messing about and do what Sarver done make an offer for the damn club attempt to buy the rest out instead of jockeying around trying to gain some kind of power it won't be long before the three bears and king turn on each other as I can foresee Ashley playing them like a fiddle.

4.) Saver made an offer that he new could not purify just as king and co must get the biggest % of share holders votes there is no chance the board or ashley for that matter will come to an agreement with king and co it will be purely simply who has the biggest share holding savers was a put up job for ashley ed do u think savers bid wa genuine

5.) Sorry I pressed submit then before typing in my reply. So I will reply now.

From what I am told, Sarver is always on the lookout for more sports teams (or franchises as it was called, but I hate that term) to add to his portfolio. Apparently he is a big sports fan and loves the buzz of owning a team, so I am told by someone who knows him and has worked with him.

He tells me that the pair of them actually had a chat about soccer, as they both enjoy the sport. So I can only assume he genuinely wants to get involved with what must seem an opportunity to buy a major sports 'brand' for a knockdown price.

When you consider the amounts required to begin an MLS franchise, for instance, Rangers must seem like a bargain!

6.) Bigwull I understand your suspicion mate but I think Sarver was the real deal he is way to influential and way to well respected both in business and in US sporting circles to be one of Ashleys cohorts. my only beef with king is his level of inactivity over the last year as for the three bears well I had high hopes for them but if the story is true regarding them talking to Ashley regarding a couple of seats on the board the that in my books is sleeping with the enemy

7.) Lochaberbear we do not know the positions of both parties % wise but I am quite sure if the three bears king and co we not be talking to ashley if they had the beatings of them is I have said blue pitch and margareta may hold the key power wise but they are ticketus and won't sell unless they get at least £1. 25 /share until the bears can command the nec% they will settle for seats on the board but they will still want to take club over the next couple of weeks will see the position clear

8.) Think its a bit early to start knocking the 3 bears and kings intentions we need to give them time which ano we don't have a lot of but they will have a plan set just hope they show there cards soon

Hi ED

how about a poll on do we trust Robert Sarver I for one think this guy deserves a chance my reasons are as follows

1 he has come out and told us more about his plans for the club in the past 24hrs than ashley has in the past year

2 he is willing to put a substantial amount of his cash in to gain control of the club whilst others are controlling our destiny with minimum investment and a few loans which means they have less to lose.

i don't know if this guy is the real deal or not but I can't see what he would have to gain by screwing us over, I see a lot of people are comparing him to American owners in the English leagues but as we all know you could spend 100 million a season in the EPL and not get into CL here you just have to beat Celtic and that would not cost too much as they have suffered in quality since our demise.

if all he wants is an Ego boost to having a team that wins their domestic competitions and plays in the world elite club competitions then Rangers would be a good bet I know there are other clubs out there that you could achieve that with but how much would it cost and also do they have the considerable fan base a successful Rangers would command.

would be interested to hear your and other bears thoughts on this

lochaberbear

{Ed001's Note - I have added it for a poll of the day, hopefully I will remember to use it tomorrow.}

Sarver and Ashley have a working relationship that they have forgotten to tell us. Ashley runs rangers retail.Antigua enterprises the kit maker of phoenix suns.is owned buy. Ashley. now make your mind up fellow bears

2.) The obvious move that person Ashley would make is to have an apparently innocent and independent 3rd Party to come in 'out of the blue' and make an offer to buy outright in the hope he can get revenge on King and 3 Bears blindsiding him buy getting 40% of Rangers bought sealed secured and untouchable.

I really hope Sarver is not yet another lying conman (to say you have never met a person does not rule out they could be in legal partnership via lawyers and a private offshore company remember Liberty Capital and whyte).

Regardless we now have a Rangers minded group of people that own 40% of the shares so there is not ever going to be a sale to Sarver or any person Mr Ashley might try to arrange to rip us off. These men are way to experienced to allow Ashley to try any of these moves.

I personally think Sarver is genuine as the current board turned him down (unlikely if Ashley involved) plus he has said he is happy to partner up with positive Rangers and fan backed people who will run Rangers fiscally unlike current board. These facts sort of show he is genuine.

3.) Les, the only kit I can see for Phoenix suns is made by Adidas, take a look on the website, oh no wait Ashley used to have shares in Adidas must be a conspiracy,

@delbhoy If Rangers sold Wallace to Celtic I for one would never step foot in Ibrox again its bad enough that we are in a position where we have to sell our best player in order to try and keep afloat but to sell him to our biggest rivals would be unforgivable putting all that aside I really don't think wild horses would drag Wallace to parkhead from ibrox

all this rubbish about EBT and Rangers having a sporting advantage because we fielded players we couldn't afford, get of the moral high ground Celtic fans Juninho was on an EBT regardless if the tax was paid or not, the tax wasnt paid while he was playing it was paid a year or two after. also what about the two Keanes Dermot Desmond paid their wages because celtic couldn't afford it. did that not give celtic sporting advantage at least the money our players got came from our club.

Hate to say it but I would take a 10 0 defeat to livingston if it meant getting rid of the Parasites that are currently squatting in our board room 10 0 defeat would be embarrassing but not half as embarrassing as those cretons on the board especially hippo head somers

My concerns exactly Cullin72 does anybody know if the Parasites can go ahead and sign over Ibrox before the EGM and if they did would it be legally binding
